In actual operation, the G6 is equipped with an app that is very convenient and practical to use. It also has a splash proof design, unimpeded use on rainy days, unlimited pitch and heading double axis, wider capture screen, and OLED display. Yuntai power, working mode, camera mode and other key states are clear.
Loosen the screws. Move the camera in the same position away from the motor. It will still stabilize and there will be no noise. There is still space left in those screw holes :) is the same complaint in all videos about these gimbals. Just... just... move it slightly right :D

This is a good choice for a GoPro gimbal. Battery life is great and the extension pole is a must have. The gimbal does provide excellent stabilization for the GoPro.
Thanks for the video and I do have a question. After watching your video I bought the Feiyu G6 and I noticed there was a problem. If I swing my right hand that hold the G6 anti-clockwise to around the 3-4 o'clock position, the motor started to rattle non-stop. But once I passed the 3 o'clock position, the rattle stopped. It didn't happen when I swing to the 8-9 o'clock position. Is this normal? Anyway I found it to be unusable. Thanks again for any info.

Good video. Would the G6 work with a Sony ActionCam? The ActionCam's lens is on the narrow side of the camera body rather than the broad side like a GoPro. I'm wondering if the G6 can accommodate the ActionCam's lens orientation. Have you tried it? Thanks for any help!
Thanks! I have been using the FeiyuTech G360 with the ActionCam for almost a year. It's great, super light-weight, and really quiet, but it doesn't have a tilt feature (always level to horizon). I'll give this G5GS a shot. Looks good.

Thank you, Rocker means that you can control movement of the gimbal like with joystick and rolling means that you are only controlling the horizontal axis through the app.

1) it is splash resistant which means that it can withstand rain or splashing water. You definitely can't submerge any gimbal into the water. 2) It seems like the coupon is unfortunately expired.
Is there any variants of the G6? I see pricing on this gimbal that can be as low as $130 and beyond $230. Dont want to buy the cheaper option if the 6 isn't the same as the more expensive option.

Thank you, if you use external mic, the noise will not be a problem, but mounting the mic is difficult because of the adapter brick. It is unfortunately not possible to use GoPro in cage on any gimbal. I have never used the Karma grip, so I unfortunately can't help you with that.

Hello! Would just like to ask if its normal for the camera to flip backwards while on selfie mode? In my understanding, the camera should be facing me regardless if the gimbal is upright or tilted. With my G6, the camera flips back and face the other way when the gimbal is tilted.
Does the Feiyu On app (in combination with the G6) remember the Wifi password on the GoPro? I can't get it to connect without entering the wifi password every time.

Then i can go and measure if it will fit.. also yes, up and down tilt can be adjusted with the joystick (if that's what you meant) what i don't like so far is the way timelapse works.. you need to manually set the speed of each axis in the app and have to figure out how they correlate with each other, else one axis might be done faster than the other :/

Is the pitch motor of your G6 not on the wrong side of the Hero6? That's probably why you get the motor noise on the audio. Also the ON/OFF-button wouldn't be covered if the motor is on the other side. Please have a look at the pictures on the manufacturer homepage: store.feiyu-tech.com/collections/hot-sale/products/g6-overview
It is possible to mount it both ways, if you position the motor on the left side before turning the gimbal on, it will stay on that side. I prefer this way of mounting because it enables me use USB charging. I also hold the gimbal with right hand so the motor would block the view on the screen on the other side.
Ok, I'ts definitely a plus to charge the Gopro while it's mounted on the gimbal. But is the motor noise still hearable if the pitch motor is on the left side?
You need to change wi-fi mode to 2.4 Ghz in GoPro, connect gimbal to your smartphone via Bluetooth and then connect the camera to gimbal using wi-fi through the app.
G6 is much better IMO, because it has that angled axis and clear view on the display, rocker for controlling the horizontal axis and you don't need any counter-weights.
I disagree with that. The G6 has better handling, clear view on the GoPro display, it's own OLED display, rocker for horizontal axis... that alone is plenty enough for me. The wi-fi control is definitely not a gimmick. It works seamlessly and I use it literally every time when I use this gimbal.
Depends on which Hero 7 you mean Hero 7 black dimensions and weight are identical to Hero 6, white and silver are a it thinner and lighter, but it will work with those as well.
You really don't need a gimbal if mounting on a car. I've mounted many cameras on the outside of a car. The video is usually quite stable looking. If you use a gimbal on a car it will do funny things every time you turn the car.

Thank you, it is in auto mode in that sample, wind only setting makes the noise much quieter but it is still possible to hear it.

That is unfortunately not possible, your assumption is right, GoPro is connected to G6 using wi-fi.

Yes, it works the best with Hero 7. You need to buy the tripod separately.

You can mount it basically everywhere using the 1/4 inch thread on the gimbal, although WG2 may be more suitable for that amzn.to/2kyRSax

Depends on what camera are you using, it is possible to turn the automatic rotation off.
I tried turning off the autorotate on my gopro. Tried both hero4 and hero5, still encountering the same issue.
Comparing with other brand cheaper gimbal, I love FeiyuTech G6 material ,looks cool and quality. It also can connect with Gopro, that is cool.
Have you tried updating the firmware? I saw another review that said it locked up and died after updating.
I have checked the app, but see no firmware update available yet.

Yes, it does. Try turning the wireless connections in GoPro on and off, it should connect automatically after that.

i just noticed it's a back-door for the housing (i.e. on the older gopros)? the housings will not fit on the gimbal

I prefer this way of mounting because it enables me use USB charging. I also hold the gimbal with right hand so the motor would block the view on the screen on the other side.
Ok, I'ts definitely a plus to charge the Gopro while it's mounted on the gimbal. But is the motor noise still hearable if the pitch motor is on the left side?

Smartphone will not fit.
How does balance position right side?? My g6 balance is positioned left side.
I should choose the side automatically depending on where you place the camera before turning the gimbal on.
Are lighter hero 4 compatible with those gimbals?

You need to change wi-fi mode to 2.4 Ghz in GoPro, connect gimbal to your smartphone via Bluetooth and then connect the camera to gimbal using wi-fi through the app.

G6 is much better IMO, because it has that angled axis and clear view on the display, rocker for controlling the horizontal axis and you don't need any counter-weights.
I disagree with that. The G6 has better handling, clear view on the GoPro display, it's own OLED display, rocker for horizontal axis... that alone is plenty enough for me. The wi-fi control is definitely not a gimmick. It works seamlessly and I use it literally every time when I use this gimbal.

Depends on which Hero 7 you mean Hero 7 black dimensions and weight are identical to Hero 6, white and silver are a it thinner and lighter, but it will work with those as well.

You really don't need a gimbal if mounting on a car. I've mounted many cameras on the outside of a car. The video is usually quite stable looking. If you use a gimbal on a car it will do funny things every time you turn the car.

Feiyu makes special gimbal for Sony action cameras amzn.to/2miYMl6 I don't think that G6 would work with those.
