Probably the most satisfying fight of them all. You get a proper ending to the main antagonists, you get the main character of the franchise on your team and on top of it, Yukari is a damn genius for messing with Jo'on's "guaranteed victory" partner swap strategy.
This is the most important fight in Touhou to me personally. A few weeks before this game came out, I found myself in the same position as Shion. I fought back just like she did and fought to make a scenario where everybody lost - and by the end I succeeded. Still, being so looked down upon and being called so many names had me down for all that time. Then I fought Shion. Every word she said resonated with me and Fighting her was like fighting myself that day. The thing is that she fought hard. I struggled. In the end I was victorious but it was not without multiple trys and luck. In the end Shion beat some respect into me and looking back, seeing that even if them looking so far down on me and their name calling was valid, the fact I fought back and fought so hard was worth of respect in it's own right. And so, it was thanks to a beating from Shion that I learned to respect myself - at least a little.
At the end of ULIL sumireko demonstrated that she can enter gensokyo through her dreams so when she woke up, she would vanish from gensokyo until she sleeps again.
