I'm positive you answered the "biggest animal you could kill" question before.
Yahtzee said it would be a single attack dog, because you splay their front legs, and it crushes their chest.
He then joked that it would _only_ be a single attack dog and "that's probably why attack dogs come in packs".
I know they've made comments about hunting bare handed, but they've never actually answered this particular question iirc.
I'm positive Gabe gave the answer of elephant seal last time as well.
Yahtz mentioned the "splay their legs to collapse their chest" tactic for dogs, and also the idea of shoving his arm down their throat.
I'm positive it was the exact same question - "biggest animal you could kill bare-handed".

Been a follower of this series since the first drown out (Quake 2, way back at the end of 2013). Boy how the time flies, gonna miss this show a lot.
I wonder if you guys still read those comments sometimes... Well, anyway, in case you do, I'm feeling nostalgic so I'm just gonna leave this here.
I wanted to let you guys know that even though I "moved on" about two years before you stopped making those videos, I've recently decided to revisit the entire series and finally catch up on the vids that I've been missing out on for so long. And this episode in particular kinda brings a tear to my eye because I can still remember finding that very first podcast file that Yahtzee posted on his blog about 10 years ago, and how I followed your exploits for years after that. I still have those mp3s of the first two recordings that you made together. For a while, you became a part of my weekend routine, and I always watched a new episode before bed on Sunday evening.
It's a bummer but all good things have to end at some point, I guess. I just wanted to let you know how much I apprecieate all those years of entertainment that you guys provided me with and that your exploits brought a much needed comfort when I was going through some really rough patches in my life. Wish you all the best.

On a side note, I find Regenerators to be some of the most terrifying enemies in video games.
I'd love to see you Drown Out a few more adventure games before you're done. I have gone back and rewatched your Police Quest, Space Quest, even Dreamweb, Manhunter, and Normality more times than is healthy. So many others I'd love to see your opinions on.
I got sick of this Resident Evil down out ages so, I'd be happy to see it end and have a few one offs instead.
I remember Gabe mentioning doing I have no mouth and I must scream at some point, I'd be happy to see that and maybe another one if they can find the time over the next few weeks of recording. Silent Hill 2 would be a brilliant capper since it's not even that long a game and Yahtzee never shuts up about how great it is.

I'm super bummed now. For a long time Lets Drown Out has been a part of my week. Every Sunday I'd wait for the video to come up and then off to lunch I'd go. Having a burger and a beer while listening to you guys talk has been a high point of my weeks and I'm sorry to see it come to an end.

I find Gabe and Aaron's channel keepetclassy to be funnier than LDO. Check that channel out if you need more funny banter during LPs.
While it may not be the exact same. Two Bests Friends Play are two personalities I find rather funny. They have a cast of four, but Pat and Matt fit the best in my opinion.
Yeah, two best friends play is pretty close to let's drown out. The main difference being that Gabe and Yahtzee rag on the game and each other while maintaining a stiffed upper lips. Two best friends are much more animated in their response.

That's the main reason. Internet. Look up rural Australian Internet, you will find it quite impossible for them to do that. That is where Gabe will be moving to.
The appeal, I think, is a mix of fandom and the fact that Yahtzee and Gabe are both very well informed and well thought on many subjects. And they're also very moderate on most things. So it turns into sensible, yet still entertaining banter on a wide variety of subjects.

Gabe is literally the only person I know that let's the attache case going to hell because it ends up biting you in the arse in the late game (like now) where the attache case is quite large and you can't find shit!
I wish Yahtzee had caved in tidied up the case so it would of been in some kind of order before Gabe fucked it up in this final episode! Also, it sucks that they never finished this like they finished Half-Life although I know Half-life is a fair bit shorter than Resident Evil 4.

For years I loved waking up every sunday knowing I could watch these videos. No other let's play series comes even close.
Obligatory yelling at Gabriel about mechanical keyboards. There are two major keyboard types, mechanical and membrane. Mechanical keyboards have one "clicky" press. A membrane keyboard on the other hand, has two presses, (you know how it feels sort of floaty until you press it down all the way?) but it's much quieter. Then there's a third type, a sort of hybrid called a mechanical membrane keyboard, which combines the mechanisms of the two for the "smooth click" of the mechanical, and the silence of the membrane.
Obligatory tl'dr, general apathy
There's quiet mechanical keyboards too, it all has to do with the key switches used. Cherry MX brand uses color coding for the mechanisms. Sounds like Gabe's friend had Blues which are full on loud click with resistance, but there's Reds and Browns that are no louder than a membrane. Also little O Rings you can pop in underneath the keycaps to deaden the sound.
No sense in giving mechanical keyboards a bad rap on noise when it's not entirely deserved. Especially considering how much better they operate, more accurate for touch typing, much more durable and less likely to short out if something gets spilled, easier to clean, etc.
Playing RE4 on the Quest 2 and watching the lets drown out after each bit, thx Yahtzee and Gabe..
I will definitely miss you two doing Drown Out series. All that banter, thoughts, fantasies. Been listening since the start. It's nice to know that there is a real person behind all his work (Yahtzee). And Gabe.. umm.. have fun doing the teacher thing! Yeah, that works.

Best part for me was at 26:25 When Yahtzee says "Don't throw good money after bad instead of money its..." and then Gabe interrupts! Such a cheep laugh but I can't help it.

Oh, and not that this helps now, but:
PROTIP: To kill the Regenerator, aim at one of it's knees with the shotgun and wait for it to get close to you. When it starts it's attack animation, fire! Take ONE step forward so you're parallel with it's thighs. Turn and look down at it, then just start slashing with the knife. It takes a LONG time, but you can kill them this way without using tons of ammo or getting hit :) Does NOT work on the spiky ones, but by then you have the scope ;)

I would answer the sign has "CUNT" written on it. Gabe runs as close as security will let him, panting he tries to get out some words... Yahtzee just shakes his head and shouts "I'm gonna miss you and your knob!" Gabe lets out a breathless laugh. "I'll miss you too, you massive tosser!" They both give rare genuine smiles, wave one final good bye, then Yahtzee climbs aboard the plane. Taking his seat Yahtzee pulls a tattered black book, that he's too proud to call his diary, from his carry-on, then a pen. He flips the book open to the next blank page and at the top, then he writes with a bitter-sweet mix of emotions: "Today was the first time I ever left a friendship on good terms."
And then the writer of the last line was shot for being a moron.
That's a fair point. I've been sick of Bejeweled-style mechanics for ages, yet HuniePop came along and made the entire thing interesting all over again. Especially, the consumable items made it quite interesting, where you have to plan ahead and get certain matches, but once you've set that up, you can transform entire parts of the playing field or make huge plays.

A mechanical keyboard along with having the good tactile press, is just accurate. Comes in handy for gaming because you don't have weird delays or miss presses.

Cherry mx blue switches are loud and clicky, but there are mechanical switches that have the good Feely touchy without the clickity clack of the Blues. Red and brown switches are probably the most common.

For me personally, I've found moments where either of them or both of them pissed me off for one reason or another. Thought that they were complete moronic fucking cunts. BUT I also remember drown outs that I absolutely loved like Dink Smallwood, FTL, Young Merlin, Smash TV and the ego reviews.
I have to give kudos for yahtzee's nonconformity to the whole nu-letsplayer style bullshit that so many people do these days without absolutely zero character. We had our good times and we had our bad times, but it'll be over soon. C'est la vie.

@9:25 Probably the worst Simpsons joke I can remember was from that episode with the new area code and they split Springfield in half. Homer says they will build a wall and what makes it the worst joke is Bart chimes in with "Like the one in Berlin" and it's a mix of just the really bad delivery, it coming from Bart and just the fact it feels so forced when the punchline is just Homer tries to make a phone call again and gets area code tone from the start of the episode.
Man I really wanted to see Gabriel do his Killer 7 video analysis series. All the references in this episodes just reminded me of him saying that.

My favourite part of dealing with the Regenerators is when you play through with the Chicago Typewriter and no longer need the scope, because of the endless stream of bullets you can just pour into it until it dies.
49:40 - 51:45 = There are some people who thought Yahtzee's gone soft after getting a girlfriend. Well, I don't think so. He still have that bite in him that just doesn't show as prominently as before, but it's still strong.

The Quark in a dress episode is "Profit and Lace". It was a Quark's mom episode and the only episode directed by Alexander Siddig (Aka Doctor Bashir). Not only is it considered bad because of the transphobic and sexist humor but because of how mean spirited and toxic Siddig chose to film the Quark and his mom arguments.
I recalled all of this off the top of my head.
Yahtzee... Cows are vicious buggers that weight in at around 700-1000kg+. More people die from cow attacks than dogs in the UK.
