For anyone wondering, the updated EQ version doesn't automatically connect to all apps. If you don't find that the EQ isn't working on a specific app/game then just go to the audio setting and change your input. In input you will be able to see another option which would prob something along the lines of steelseries eq. Choose that input and your mic should be sounding like the EQ.

thanks you really! Helps me a lot, best settings for now that I’ve tried. If I don't have the support arm yet, do you still suggest that I increase the noise cancellation to greater than 50%? I'm asking you so that the keys can't be heard because I have the microphone on the table. What do you say? 😊
Glad these settings help you!! You can add more than 50% but it only will improve a little. Since is on your table it will pick up some keyboard noise and some rumble too. I highly recommend a boom arm it will improve much more. Also by having the mic more close to you you also can lower the gain on the mic giving you also less background noise and a richer sound as well.

Am I getting the QUADCAST S for my upcoming podcast my room is treated well it's small with a lot of stuff to prevent noise and echos would you recommend me getting the QUADCAST S for $140 in my country is ti worth it? ( great video by the way if i get mine i'll defiantly use these tips )
Hey SKLL3TR! Thank you for watching!! So the Quadcast S will work really well on your room for sure if you buying a UBS type of mic. My room has carpet works just as you hear in the video. Is a great mic. Now Hyperx did release a mic, very similar to XLR connection. Is good too but you will need a mixer with XLR input.

@@SKLL3TR For sure a wise decision. Hyperx Quadcast is an amazing mic and for me does really well after EQ. I use my regular for other projects and definitely is a good investment.

Hey Typicalchucky! Thank you for watching! unfortunatelyI don't have a Mac to answer that question 100% , but OBS which runs on Mac have great plugins for enhance your Mic. I will look into this to make a video using OBS only that way windows and Mac users can use as well.

Seu audio fica muito bom mas eu definitivamente me estressei com meu microfone, não consigo fazer ficar bom, o ambiente não ajuda, e eu não estou conseguindo configurar de forma que me agrade, qualquer ruido/barulho por menor que seja é captado pelo microfone kk. E não sei porque está acontecendo mas o microfone parece estar captando até mesmo o áudio do desktop(ex: coloquei uma música pra tocar e ele ficou captando a música, mesmo com nenhuma influencia de áudio, msm com a música saindo pelo headset no volume 0 ele continua captando no obs como se a música tivesse sendo tocada na frente do microfone. É desesperador quando uma coisa que deveria ser simples, não funciona 😪😪 preciso de ajuda.

Mine too, it's awful, literally sounds like I'm recording in a tunnel. I record through OBS
My quad cast S I just bought for dual setup also sounds like a $20 microphone. I watch these TH-cam videos where people’s sound different. But, I just heard of this program so I’m gonna check into it. What if we are already using AMD sound suppression?
Hey, thanks for the vid. It seems like my mic only works when I have the recording settings page open when going via control panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound, and then on the recording tab. This is really peculiar and I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks

Great video! Question - friends are saying that my mic got a lot quieter compared to just selecting hyperx quadcast as input even after turning me up to 120%. How would I remedy this? Windows and sonar mic levels are 100% and my dial is turned all the way.

No worries man, not your fault. It's just in discord. When I test via any mic recorders, or even in when I test in discord it sounds just fine but my friends all says it's way too low. I'm beginning to think it's just discord's crap compression @@RodiBroGamer
@@swissayy yeah i think is better to desable all enhance from discord compressor and all since you already using on Sonar other wise I think quality can downgrade.

I'm confused, so are we supposed to use OBS at the same time in order for Sonar to work? Also I did the exact same as your instructions in the video when it comes to the EQ adjustment and Noise Cancellation. However, while I'm doing that and listening I couldn't hear anything chance. I wonder if it's something I didn't set correctly at the beginning in the settings. Why none of the effects takes place? I can still hear myself clearly it's just that any adjustment in the EQ doesn't seem to alter anything. Need an answer to this.
Hey beyondintervals! Thank you for watching! So about OBS, you not need OBS to be running to use Sonar. Sonar is a stand alone software that will slow your mic going through that and output on any software you need to have with the EQ and the AI clear cast and compressor if you use. About why you are not hearing the change on your mic, first make sure you are not monitoring your mic on your mic itself . Second make sure on your windows playback audio settings is set as Steelseries sonar mic as the main mic. Let me know if that resolved this issue ok?👍🏻
had this mic for a few months and I just can not get the audio right, micophone audio while playing a game and streaming or recording is way too low, does not matter what settings i use it doesnt make any difference

Hey gamerblarabi! I suggest uninstall the software , restart the oc and installing again. You probably rubbed into a glitch somehow. If that doesn’t work best thing to do is going to Steelseries Discord for technical support direct from them. I have not encountered any issues since I installed and being using for 2 years daily .

Hey, dabohler8661! Thank you for watching! Make sure your gain is very low on the mic itself and make-up on the software. Are you still having too much background noise even with AI Clearcast on more than 50%?
Question: I get a lot of background noise and fan noise when I am recording via Premiere Pro. So what if I used this noise cancellation software, and then recorded via switching from my speakers to my Microphone? Would it make a difference?
Hey Medjay! Thank you for watching! What I usually do is I use sonar to EQ my mic and also the AI clear cast for the background noise removal and send that mic to OBS for audio or video recording and add to adobe premiere. Now if you are only using audio you can also send to audacity from sonar and add your audio to premiere. If you are voice over in premiere that I think you can send the mic to sonar and on premiere select Steelseries mic since will be your mic with all the EQ and background removal in it .

Hey bestiankaminski6544! Thank you for watching!! You english is great!! Yes to your question. With any settings you do on Sonar it will be apply to any App you want to use for it Because your mic passthrough Sonar and get the EQ you want to any app. 😁👍

When I change these settings, would they also apply when I plug my 3.5mm to my DSLR to my Hypercast mic?
Hey Johnnykimrealestate! Thank you for watching! So the answer is no. If you connect this mic to your DSLR with the 3.5mm the DSLR will pick up the raw sound of the mic not the one from Sonar with the EQ. If you want to record a video with your DSLR and use this mic with Sonar you will want to use OBS.

Have issue with the mic. If you tap the volume dial accidently, it sometimes turns on. You can't speak then, it makes you sound like a chipmunk. Sometimes it goes on by itself without touching. Also, makes you sound like a chipmunk. I'm using Windows 10 and this is a persistent issue. The company has has no solution.

Hey bigboybencer! Thank you for watching! Check your windows audio settings. Make sure on PLAYBACK TAB the default device is Sonar Gaming and the default communication device is Sonar Chat. On the RECORDING TAB make sure the default device is Sonar Microphone. I think your issue is in there . Let me know if that fixed .

@@SaddleUpForHistory yes absolutely. Start by increasing the volume on the mic itself first a little and see if is better . That would probably resolve the low volume .

Hey Drizzy! Thank you for watching! Sorry you having this issue. What gain level you have on your quadcast? Try to set on the first dot gain and adjust more gain if you need on the sonar. That also could be a cable if still popping.
I got it on the first dot. i tried first and second @@RodiBroGamer its brand new too. Maybe I got a faulty cable? My yeti mic doesnt do it, sounds perfect.. :(

@@RodiBroGamer OBS, I’ve used steelseries before with a cheaper mic and had no issues, but the quadcast is just too good and catches all noises
@@FiercebiteVODs Yes the Quadcast is very sensitive. I suggest to have the mic on the first dot of volume itself then adjust in Sonar for the volume and test. Also if you using on a boom arm helps a lot be way from your keyboard. Also make sure on OBS you add your mic source as sonar mic not your quadcast x otherwise it will bypass sonar

My white bar in the equalizer is different than yours and sounds way less crisp even with all the same settings am i missing something?
Hey Stephenseibel5544! Thank you for watching! So my voice usually have more treble than normal. All settings i share is to give you a start point for you to customize further so if is less crisp and you need to add more treble add on sonar EQ. Don't need to increase gain. Also important to make sure you speaking close to the mic as make a lot difference. If you want to send me a sample of the voice send me on discord if you need more help ok?
I don't know if you found out the white bar problem yet but left click on the dots, the second one should say Low Shelving and last one High Shelving and the rest are Peaking EQ if you left click on them type in the Q factor as well, I JUST figured that out myself lol
@@markypoo2140 Hey!! Ohh yeah if you just copy where the dots are you may get a different sound that I had. Yes you need to input manually all the info the GAIN. FREQ and Q. Sorry I was looking what else could be to help you lol. I'm glad you figure it out 😁😁👍👍

Hey jefsan! Thank you for watching! On Sonar make sure you click on the headphone icon on the mixer to turn off that way you won’t hear yourself . If you using in OBS from Sonar make sure on audio settings for your mic ( audio advance settings ) is set to monitor off.

Hey Andres . The app needs to be open on the background but shouldn’t use much if not almost nothing on CPU. I don’t think would affect when you are playing it dosent for me tho .
