Why does he speed up when garbage lines are imminent? Don't the lines only appear after a set number of pieces are placed? He needs to move from trying to 'get to a straight piece' quickly to slowing down and trying to clear lines on every drop if possible, especially when the garbage will kill him. Edit: It is indeed a timer before it starts flashing red. Egg should still slow down when it's flashing and try to clear lines if he can to reduce the number of garbage lines added.

@@BenRHarsh he tries to win fights in slay the spire in as little time as possible. It's turn based. You can leave the game running for weeks between moves and lose nothing. Much better to misplay every turn as quickly as possible though.

Is it a timer up until that point and then waits for the last block to be placed?
I don't think NL ever spoke Korean. You don't have to speak the native language to teach English in some countries -- South Korea and Japan are two examples I know of. He probably learned a bit of Korean to get by while living there, but I don't think he has ever claimed to "speak Korean" in any sense approaching fluency.
