I assume this is a what if dio never found out about the masks true abilities and still Tried to kill Johnathan with it
In the fan-manga, he decided to test the mask on Jonathan. He already saw the mask activate before, so if Jonathan dies it's easier to believe that an archeologist died to an accident with an artifact.
Yep like in original he tested it On a guy and then saw it convert into a vampire. In this one he didn't tested it

The good news after this final , jonathan its not die because we know wat happend in the original timeline was dio as the vampire
that's because Dio rejected his humanity and became one willingly. Jonathan in this what if was forced to become one, and in turn never fully rejected it.
This feels like JJBA Twilight Zone and it's something I never knew I needed until now, this was great!
MAN your intro was absolutely AMAZING, it got me immediately intrigued. And then you went and kept this believable, "What if Dio's original plan had played out?" "What if he knew just a little bit less about the mask?" "Where would our gentlemanly main character end up if he had himself become a vampire and had to face his dastardly adopted brother?" The animation is also absolutely breathtaking and the subtle movements adds A LOT. Also the way Dio fought with the knives doesn't feel outlandish or out of character for him in my opinion. He's cunning and talented, it makes complete sense that he would works with concealing various to deliver swift lethal blows while trying to conceal most of them so that he's always one step ahead and ready to launch a surprise attack. And Jonathan not becoming needlessly evil but rather coming back in order to save what's left of his bloodline from Dio while lamenting his own existence feels very much like something he'd do in a situation like this. Also the way Jonathan fights, he avoids trying to get hit, he isn't completely careless even though he can regenerate almost anything Dio throws at him or anyone for that matter. He keeps an open mind to the possibility that he can still very realistically die even if he is not human anymore. And just like on the ship, Jonathan does not hold hate or contempt towards Dio and embraces him with brotherly love in their last moments. This is truly some of the best fan work from jojo. Keep up the amazing work and take all the time and rest you need.

You know what would be a cool what if battle?
1. What If Josuke had to fight Dio? (Here's my concept)
Jotaro beat Dio, but Did didn't explode into pieces and actually flew into the river. Miraculously he survived under the boat and went into hiding in Japan. Jotaro took his time with Joseph to come up with a new gameplan on how to kill Die, (Perhaps Jotaro learns Hamon?) Few years past and Jotaro recruits Josuke, and together they fight Dio.
2. What If Kira went to Italy and fight Giorno?
Kira either killed the Jojo's or understand his cover is blown and has to leave Morioh. He goes to Italy (for some reason, maybe because the hands there are nice lmao) and all of the sudden his wallet stolen by Giorno, he pretends that Kira's wallet is not stolen by hiding it with his transformation ability.
3.The hand requiem vs Kira
Okuyasu swipes Kira closer to him to give him a beating, but all the sudden the arrow from Kira's jacket pierce the hand. (The hand abilities are TBD)
4. C-Moon requiem vs Star Platinum.
Pucci finds the arrow piece and pierces C-Moon with it. (His abilities are TBD, but a cool concept would that he has full control of the gravity instead of just making things side ways.)
These are just considerations if you're running out ideas, I like your animations btw!

That was awesome! Great job on the animation! Honestly i was half-expecting Jonathan to pull out the stone mask and turn dio to save his life, and somehow avoid the fire, but this makes more sense, and a better ending.

It wouldn't include Josuke and Okuyasu since this would be in the early 90's, otherwise Polnareff would've shown up in Morioh, and they'd probably have the Morioh Warriors investigate the stand arrows instead.

I feel like in this What If, Jonathan would survive, Dio didn't die from the fire in the original so I doubt Jonathan would too. Not sure what the future would hold from him though.
In this au, Jonathan after becoming vampires but he doesn't kill everyone, you will see maid go in Jonathan room, the maid didn't get any kill by Jonathan because Jonathan tried hide his identity when he became vamp and he only try drink vine to survive, dio still try kill him by using weapon harm a vampire, Jonathan don't want hurt him if dio turn Jonathan becomes vamp but he still forgive him by his memories, Jonathan just want his family and blood line can cure dio past

its very inconsistent like dio even if he was on fire he still climbed that part so it should be no issue for jonathan to be alive. him being human on inside and gentle doesnt mean he couldnt get ice powers or laser ones.
