Think as with any new game that has so many components to it it's hard to know what to put in and what not to.....just look at FM and the way that's grown.....and there's so much more that could be added there in terms of commercial directors that brought in by board etc n ya get lucky or ya don't for example......
Holy shit that editor looks better than what I was expecting with a couple of templates to pick from and then edit colours but being able to put sponsors where I want is massive

Not only that, they have attention to detail to most sought after affiliate drivers in 1:32 (sophia being one the most sought after affiliate driver in 23 and players will get in line to sign antonelli in 24)
Also "failure to keep your stars happy will present rivals with opportunities to poach your talent" while demonstrating the feature with Lewis and Ferrari lol
Well done Frontier. I know it's easier to pile in lots of new things when a game is younger in it's life cycle but the fact you've put in several that will appeal to more casual and hardcore fans deserves some praise. Skipped last year but might give this a go now. Hopefully driver development is better than it has been and then it feels like starting in F2/F3 are the only real big changes that need to be made going forward. Then it's just about filling in the details of the other systems
While this game is obviously putting huge effort, it is a completely different experience. Yes they are F1 Games, however of completely different categories, so it comes down to what *you* prefer. Me personally I enjoy both, so yeah.

They didn't take the bullet. They kicked, deleted and banned comments from different platforms cause they were getting sincere deserved criticism. Now we get all these functions 2 years late. And it's still unsure as to how much of a buggy mess it will be at release. My predictions: - Mechanical failures will be too frequent and random and people will complain about this feature within the first week of release. - The usual graphical glitches. - The mentality system not doing anything. - As soon as the car models will be patched/updated the team editor won't work anymore. You read it here first.

Very impressive. The one thing missing for me which would be the option to compete against one friend. I realise an entire roster of online competitors would be a logistical nightmare to implement, but competing against one real life human I do think is doable. I just need to rub my brother's face in it when I destroy him at Silverstone.
The gaming industry has learned from Activision-Blizzard's mistake of releasing MW3 at full price last year. Much like the current F1 season, the pricing for F1 Manager 2024 is very competitive.

Really appreciate the price tag on this one. I got F1 Manager 22 and quickly refunded, eventually got it again when it went on sale. Skipped 23 because I never caught it on a good enough sale, with this one being half the price at release I'm definitely jumping back in for all these updates.

I'm 100% buying this over EA's F1. Not only does this introduce more features, but they LOWERED the price! This is how you do new features, you get all you can, and you don't drip-feed every year. (Even sneaking in the surprise of the Affiliate system, so glad we aren't forced to sign someone as Reserve!!) Take notes EA. (Especially if Frontier did/will choose to update Imola's gravel changes.) While it's minimal, if we can get something closer to like Football Manager's team meetings, scheduling, and media interviews, I'd be all for 25. Especially at the same price!!

When I mention an 'advanced mode' for engineers, I mean that, in real life, there isn't just one technical director, one head of aerodynamics, one sporting director, and two engineers for the radios; there are a multitude of engineers managed by the technical director or the head of aerodynamics. Therefore, the goal would be to give us the option to hire 'regular' engineers who don't have a major role to create a more or less effective team. This would be a great aspect of the game. (It's like recruiting physical trainers in Football Manager; there aren't just assistant coaches or technical directors). Additionally, at the end of their contracts, engineers may request advancements in their roles (not always, but this would depend on the team’s results and their perceived contribution to the team), for example, moving up to the position of Head of Aerodynamics. It would also be beneficial to add a view of all the team's engineers via an organizational chart. 2 - No longer control the cars during the race Our role as technical directors is to provide the best conditions for the drivers, whether it be in terms of staff or infrastructure (factories and other facilities). But once in the Grand Prix, it's the driver who manages his pace, his overtaking, his defense, the wear of his tires. We can intervene and communicate with the driver via radio like Toto or Gunther might do to motivate a driver who is struggling to overtake or who can improve his pace for a good result, or to correct a driver who, for example, complains about a bad set-up and unhappy with the car. 3 - Strategy Lead The strategic aspect of the game is essential and is a very important element for any player. The media aspect played an important role; moreover, we could be questioned if we are below our targets, asking us how to address these various issues, about rumors, or when improvement parts will arrive… 5 - Advanced Contracts Like in Football Manager, being able to approach a driver through their manager to understand their interest, motivations, and satisfaction with their current team situation would be a key feature. We could also add bonuses, release clauses, and termination clauses for poor performance, similar to when Vettel joined Ferrari. Recruitment clauses could also be introduced, such as needing to hire certain staff members if a driver like Max Verstappen were to join; for instance, one of his conditions might be that we also recruit Pierre Waché or Jonathan Whitley. 6 - More Developed Settings & Post-Race Meetings Our strategists or staff could advise us, for example before the Grand Prix, offering multiple setup options whether starting in FP1 or perhaps trying or analyzing new improvements, or a setup that would allow us to use the car to its full potential (they might also make mistakes). After the race or during the week before the Grand Prix, organizing meetings with the team and staff to debrief on what went well (such as the settings used, race strategy, tire conservation) or what went poorly (for example, sacrificing too much time in qualifying for a better race pace, or vice versa, or a poor strategy, or a bad setup) would also add a new skill dimension for the drivers called “feedback” (like in Motorsport Manager for those familiar 😉). This would concern not only the driver but also the staff, to provide more or less accurate feedback. If all this is ever added, I believe the game would lack nothing more in terms of gameplay and would have infinite and incredible longevity. But it's not because these various elements are missing that the game is bad. The game is crazy and great! 👍🏽. This is just the opinion of one person who wishes the game to be perfect by advising.
I wish you would drop the year and just make F1 manager game. It would open so many doors like voting for new tracks during the next season and rule/ regulation changes. Hell extra tracks could be dlc to spice up the calendar and stop the same list of races from getting boring year after year. F1 manager is an exciting game, but Motorsport manager from 2016 is still more fun. If I do buy this game though, Im creating a team called Andretti Cadillac 😂
So many bugs in previous versions you havnt fixed, ui lock ups, bad calls on who was responsible for the crashes and who would get penalties and last one sprints should move around to other races during races. I am sure there are so much more....................................@frontier

I would like a bit of a deeper on how the livery editor works. I don’t want to buy the deluxe edition for templates that I don’t even understand.

This could, for example, influence the arrival of engineers or drivers from other teams (through praise, for example), or alternatively create rivalries like in 2021 if we look at real life. The media aspect played an important role; moreover, we could be questioned if we are below our targets, asking us how to address these various issues, about rumors, or when improvement parts will arrive…
5 - Advanced Contracts
Like in Football Manager, being able to approach a driver through their manager to understand their interest, motivations, and satisfaction with their current team situation would be a key feature. We could also add bonuses, release clauses, and termination clauses for poor performance, similar to when Vettel joined Ferrari. Recruitment clauses could also be introduced, such as needing to hire certain staff members if a driver like Max Verstappen were to join; for instance, one of his conditions might be that we also recruit Pierre Waché or Jonathan Whitley.
6 - More Developed Settings & Post-Race Meetings
Our strategists or staff could advise us, for example before the Grand Prix, offering multiple setup options whether starting in FP1 or perhaps trying or analyzing new improvements, or a setup that would allow us to use the car to its full potential (they might also make mistakes). After the race or during the week before the Grand Prix, organizing meetings with the team and staff to debrief on what went well (such as the settings used, race strategy, tire conservation) or what went poorly (for example, sacrificing too much time in qualifying for a better race pace, or vice versa, or a poor strategy, or a bad setup) would also add a new skill dimension for the drivers called “feedback” (like in Motorsport Manager for those familiar 😉). This would concern not only the driver but also the staff, to provide more or less accurate feedback.
If all this is ever added, I believe the game would lack nothing more in terms of gameplay and would have infinite and incredible longevity. But it's not because these various elements are missing that the game is bad. The game is crazy and great! 👍🏽. This is just the opinion of one person who wishes the game to be perfect by advising.
I wish you would drop the year and just make F1 manager game. It would open so many doors like voting for new tracks during the next season and rule/ regulation changes.
Hell extra tracks could be dlc to spice up the calendar and stop the same list of races from getting boring year after year.
F1 manager is an exciting game, but Motorsport manager from 2016 is still more fun.

So many bugs in previous versions you havnt fixed, ui lock ups, bad calls on who was responsible for the crashes and who would get penalties and last one sprints should move around to other races during races. I am sure there are so much more....................................@frontier

After two years the features I wanted and slowing coming into existence! F1 academy, F2, More driver faces, and voice lines next? Hmmm. haha
God how MUCH I would like to be able to re-create older seasons, like 1999-2000 with all those legends being there!! Or older ones with Senna, Prost etc.
