Choosing a favourite smell feels like too much of a commitment but books, soil and dogs have got to be up there. Really great to see you come to Wales Marek.
I'm loving the fact that you're getting out and about. Aww that was cool seeing Mr Schnitzer at the end of your vid both on your shelf and then in the photos. Tee hee! One of my many favourite smells is freshly laid tarmac. I also love the smell of liquorice.
My favourite smell - tomato plants in my greenhouse. We definitely need more happy to chat benches in parks, up hills, by bus stops etc.. I saw one when i did the Alresford Riverside walk last August & what a friendly welcoming sign it was for putting people at ease. Darn mountain bikes churning up the hillside! Have a good easter.
You have set a worm in our heads about visiting North Wales thank you Cool Dude. Best smell fresh grass or petrichicol. Come tlo the Mendip Hills some time .
@cdwc I think so, there is a 10 mile walk from Wells to Cheddar there I'd a bit of a climb up the Mendips but not too bad then it's across the top onnthe Mendip way as it's now called. Beautiful views across the levels for miles around.
Excellent walk and painting cool dude. Doughnut smell was probably wafting across from the pier. Many a childhood holiday in Llandudno. Food smells are my favourites. Chip shop, especially at the sea side or a bakery making fresh bread.
I love the smell of rain on a warm day "Petrichor". Another great walk Marek, that's my Dad's favourite part of the UK. Did you see any of the mountain goats?
I'm going to have to say my favourite smell is boiling currants, prunes and dates in tea to make Bara Brith! I live near the Little Orme and it's definitely best avoided in the the middle of winter when it gets really slippery, interesting factoid, the first book ever printed in Wales was on a secret printing press in a cave on the Little Orme, it was an illegal Catholic text called 'Y Drych Cristionogawl' (The Christian Mirror).
Great video as always, thanks Marek. Never too early in the year for ice creams, top tip, the ice cream place down on Shanklin seafront gives bigger scoops out of season! Best smell for me will always be a real Christmas tree in my childhood front room.
My dad mentioned the great and little ormes just last weekend as it happens, he said that from the sea it is said to look like a sea serpent or something like that, with a raised part at each end and the bay in the middle. The word "orme" comes from old Norse meaning this sea serpent, and the English word "worm" comes from this too. Favourite smell has to be coffee. Thanks for the video Marek.
Oh no! Sorry, I didn't think. Well probably most people won't make it to the end of my rambling comment. These are a great series of videos, thanks for doing these.

Wow, what an adventure! ⛰ Loved the video, and I'm seriously considering joining the cool dudes walking club! The scenery looks amazing, but those hills? 😅 Definitely feel you on the steep parts! Your ham and cheese lunch by the sea sounds absolutely perfect 👌. Also, bacon roll smell + honeysuckle = YES PLEASE! 🌸 🥓
I played it exactly as Chopin envisaged it. I am gearing up to enter the International Chopin Piano competition. Have you seen the excellent documentary on it?
Beautiful walk, your camera takes some great pics, lovely colours! Love the smell of freshly baked bread or cakes. Also wild roses and yellow azaleas, guess it's difficult to choose just one favorite smell :) It's never too early for an icecream. Great watercolour paintings, thanks Marek
That lovely smell when you open the foil seal on a jar of Nescafé, or the smell of the pages of a new paperback book. Maybe you should take a walk somewhere that would make Sunglasses Marek anxious 😉
Not long until I'm there and you've timed these videos perfectly - I'm excited and hope I have equally as good weather as you had! I will also wear ladies gloves of course
Llandudno looks very pretty and good empty beaches in North Wales, probably because it was cold enough for ladies gloves. Eating ice cream whenever you feel the need too is one of the perks of being a grown up and a cool dude. Favourite smells would be the classic freshly baked bread and onions frying, but not at the same time, although... maybe... ?
Top Welsh hill-walking, Cool Dude. I feared another phone box incident when you were about to enter the church, but all was OK in the end 🙂 Favourite smell - the seaside 😎
Are we sure those gloves aren't grey? Glad they were comfortable in any case! In terms of cooking smells, bacon is hard to beat, although maybe caramelized onions are up there too? For flowers, my favourite are freesias, I think.
I think I need to make more effort to visit North Wales, it is less than an hour away from home but I've hardly ever been. My favourite smell is either freshly ground coffee, or the smell of new shoes in a shoe shop (not sure what strange chemicals make up that smell...)
I think my favorite smell would have to be ice and I know that may not make sense but when you are out on a frozen lake, or in a hockey arena there bis a sharp cold smell present and I love it.
is this the start of crossdresser Marek? the new emoji? first gloves...then a scarf...its slippery slope mate. sorry had to. My favorite smell....hmmm probably this particular brand of dryer sheet for the laundry my mom used to use when I was a kid. If I smell that I instantly feel so much internal comfort.
Another great Video Marek 👍My favourite smell comes from cats or dogs paws, they have a strange but gorgeous aroma reminiscent of Digestive biscuits and Basmati rice.... if you know you know

My favourite smell was the fleeting scent of Sweet Olive trees when we lived in New Orleans. It was only in the spring for a couple weeks, especially after a cool rain.
A few years ago Cussons did a chocolate orange scented hand wash. I must have bought dozens of bottles, my hands have never been so clean! But the rotters discontinued it, and now I will never be satisfied with another soap for the rest of my life. So yeah, that.
