It is a shame that so many people spend their lives doing things they hate just for the money. I worked to 68 and my wife worked to 65. We loved what we did. The sailing life is not for everyone, but happiness should be. Today I was going through some old photos. Life has been good and will continue to be good. I got lucky and found a keeper young, had two great children. Enjoy your channel and travels.
You are a philosophers, you love-birds, I like that! Maybe at some point when sailing we all become one... Love those passages, great video. Thanks, guys and be well! Only when being out there together alone in the big water, the bond is growing, trust is increasing, at least I found that. And you quickly learn who you can trust with your life!
Hi guys, great as usual, you bot are so chilled and relaxed....the only way to be. I do similar to what you do but in a caravan all over Australia and for the rest of my life....I get sea sick lol otherwise it would be by boat lol. I was trying to make out the audio book you were listening to right at the end, about 1000's of people all talking but not hearing each other and something like an American Indian person, epigmetote ??? Are you able to share where I can check that one out ??? cheers Peter
Enjoy your sailing. I sailed twice this week on Perdido Bay, the body of water on the eastern border of Alabama and the western border of Florida. Usually sail east from Palmetto Creek to Dupont Point in our 1984 Catalina 22. Beautiful sunsets here too.
Hi Meg. What did you both do for a living before starting your sailing adventures???? I would guess you were in the medical field and Darrin owned his own construction company???
Great salty sailing couple! That was awesome watching both of you sail your vessel in big seas. Impressive, not easy and you both rock it out! Safe passage.
Like many of us born in the 1960's, I was raised with the expectation of going to school, then either college of a stint in the military before getting married, having kids, and spend your good an vital years raising them to do the same thing, then work till retirement. Now at sixty, I have a limited time remaining to enjoy my essential self, and change scares me. I salute those who don't follow that philosophy. Who knows? Maybe one day I'll pull a Nike, and just do it!
Yes I have a question! What type of boat do you have ? And love the little story at the start, and it’s so true just need to convince the finance director a little more :-)

Another wonderful video from my favorite couple Downunder. I’m glad to see you are all happy and healthy and I have just one question: what is that Noisy auto pilot you have,I need to know so that I don’t buy one :-). Cheers to you both
Hello. What is that screaching birdlike sound I hear about every 5 seconds? I guessed it is one of the lines rubbing on to something that you are so used to hearing.
You're certainly swamped with rules, laws, taxes and bylaws in Victoria. You don't avoid all of them at sea, but they're greatly reduced and it takes more effort for the tax collectors to visit. You seem to be living each day to it's fullest, however you're the only one that knows!? Thanks for sharing and safe passage.
This should be Part 1. Part 2 should be: How we ditched the 9-5 grind.........Cause that is the bigger question everybody is faced with. Especially us sailors with a boat already dreaming HOW to escape the rat race and not questioning WHY.
The reason why you ditched the 9-5 grind.......?! This title make it sound as if you guys are in your prime. You guys are well passed retirement age, no offense. I would understand this title if you were 35-45.....
Have a question? Drop a comment and we'll answer you in an upcoming episode!
They are the kindest people ever
love how you guys are so relaxed kicking back
"We sail not to escape life, But for life not to escape us", Great words👍
love that
Deus te abençoe você é este amigo

Interesting, "Our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive and express what we really are" so true when you think about it.

The wine of your auto pilot would drive me crazy. You probably don't even hear it anymore 😊
Safe travels my friends.
looks like a fun day of sailing!
Great intro to that one. Cheers Rick

I have a question. How long have y'all been together? So sweet, y'all seem like newlyweds😍
This should be Part 1. Part 2 should be: How we ditched the 9-5 grind.........Cause that is the bigger question everybody is faced with. Especially us sailors with a boat already dreaming HOW to escape the rat race and not questioning WHY.
That's a very good point Mark. I will ponder this for you !
Bloody noise Souto pilot

We ditched the 9-5 for this lifestyle over 20 years ago David. At 50 we both feel in our prime. It's the new 30 don't you know 😉
Much love Jon ♡
