Both of these guys (the “other half” of the legends) have a different aura of greatness - LD and LCW have the intensity, speed and technicality. TH & PG are artists - The play is so beautiful to watch: Effortless footwork, beautiful backhands and great shot making. Greatness of a different kind!

Yes. He's my favorite player. I started playing in 2003 and I never saw any badminton videos until TH-cam started in 2005. Taufik was already near the end of his prime by then but his beautiful shots are immortalized on these low quality videos.
The lightness and economy of movement and the quality of the shot making from both of these players is still extraordinary even 15 years later. It is nearly impossible to explain to a non-player just how far ahead of "ordinary" players these guys are and what it takes to achieve the level of ability that makes the game look so effortless.
I really enjoy watching Taufik hidayat and Peter Gade match. Its really fantastic even Gade has lower chance to win but respect 2 legends.
I just love Taufiq Hidayat’s backhand smashes and Peter Gade’s deceptive shots especially at the net. Thanks a lot for this video ❤❤

This is called a proper and perfect badminton match. Few of the top players of our current generation plays really boring defensive games . Best example was 2023 world championship final. Really nobody would like to watch that kind of games
