Thanks. I use it when my house is too quiet. This helps me get rid of small noises of other members at home. Like someone walking in the living room, or someone in the kitchen. If it's too quiet I hear everything outside. This sound blocks it all and gives me a constant monotonic non disturbing sound which is better than a quiet room to work.

its not nothing, its just the incredibly quiet ambient noise that occurs inside architecture, ventilation, heating, cooling, electric systems, vending machines, computers, fridges, plumbing systems all make a distinct noise that you can barely hear when you are far from them.
