This has all the potential in the world to be the best Mechwarrior game ever. Can't wait for the final version. And...by the way...would you ask Baradul to stop asking Piranha to nerf everything? We're not all professional gamers like him. :-)
Excellent comment - Mechs need to retain the advantages/disadvantages - MWO basically turned into a boring slog fest with all mechs basically performing equally, just displaying different skins...Difficulty is a good thing - it requires strategic on-the-fly thinking and playing to the strengths of your mech and mitigating the weaknesses
Does the AI (both friendly and enemy) take into account the weapons and mech type. Like keeping distance when armed with LRM or flanking and running around enemies when the AI is in a light mech?
If the WHM Black Widow can mount quad Burst AC2 or dual LB-10 in its ballistic hardpoints, I'd probably take that instead of the 6R. I'd also probably replace the ERPPCs in your BH with either LPLs or reg PPCs for better sustainability in prolonged fights.
I'd swap the Archer for a Catapult and maybe a Cataphract over the Orion. I do love me some Warhammer and Marauder action though. I just wonder when clan mechs are coming, I wants me my Timberwolf!!
I'd build an almost identical lance, except my Warhammer would be the 6D variant for more armor, and instead of an Orion i'd put one of the Jump capable Thunderbolts.
gotta love the marauder I find the 5D to work better with 3 ER PPC, the BH2 is just to slow for how aggressive I get, and it doesn't really offer move firepower, I hope their is more variants in the final game and I hope we get the marauder 2 cuz Russ said it would be in the game. **edit yes I know can probably expect it all to show up shortly after release from moders, but I would just rather PGI put it in themselves because I want to play the game without mods until I am bored before looking for mods.
Loving the game so far but I make custom mechs for my buddy bots same as my own its crazy the dmg potential once every mech has double heatsinks and custom armor will be great in story mode
Walking into buildings should cause some damage or at the minimum significantly slow your mech and restrict movement; Now this would be dependent on how fast your mech charged into a building, at what angle/axis...Buildings still feel way too papery (no impact, no consequence)...Buildings could add an interesting battlefield gameplay element - used for cover, shielding, surprise attacks etc. What about splash damage from explosive battlefield elements (gas tanks, ammo explosions etc)?
there were fuel tanks in MW4 Mercs campaign. seems safe to say they'll be here too. (also, I've seen some guys get stuck partway through a building because they ran out of momentum. it's just that he's using heavies here.)
the whole amaount of movement shaking, makes me kinda sick, and it looks like the game got input lag, maybe it seems like it because of the delayed crosshair movement.
@@TTBprime Well I pulled my preorder the moment i knew PGI still sold steam keys which were wohrthless because they already had the deal with epic. Word only got out because someone from PGI put up the web page with the epic deal information to early. No they have to win me back with a good game and no frontloaded trust is given. But i didnt make it to the upper 1% of mwo players if battletech wasnt my thing. So i am open to actually break the rule of no epic game store for this game if its any good after dec 10th and perhaps 2 or 3 patches.

I really want to see a poptart black knight PPC build. In MW4 it could fit 3 PPCs and a light gauss.
Also I noticed the PPCs can cause heat management issues. Try using chain fire instead of firing them all at once.

You really have to wonder what on earth convinced these guys to charge at a lance of mechs in Scorpions.

You'll probably be hard pressed to find all the star league tech on the bounty hunter in the campaign.

Lights have a very different speed and feeling moving through than heavier mechs.

Watching the AI teammates play, I'm convinced half the players in MWO are actually bots.

yeah, you have to consider your human teammates performance when evaluating any AI you see in any game .....

The big issue for me is the diagonal movement. I get that it's more realistic, but hyper realistic portrayals of war aren't necessarily the most fun.
beeing optimistic that PGI fixes anything might get you into a big dissapointment.
