- Got a new camera, and what better way to test it out than a fish room tour. It's another long video so i hope you can make it through. I have a little bit of everything, African Cichlids, Rainbowfish, Rare Plecos, Planted tanks, Guppy Fish. The only thing missing is Goldfish, but i am sure that will be coming soon.

You have a great assortment of livestock. Tanks look all well taken care of with lots of variety in decor and aquascape for fish activity.

I have been working on a pleco only video, but its taking forever because i never see them =(
LOL. Totally understandable. I have 3 Bristlenose plecos in a 15 gallon tank and most of the time I only see one, so I know what your talking about.

Nice tour! Great looking tanks and fish. I especially love the mascara barb. I hope to be setting up a 125 gallon soon with a group of mascara, rohani, and filament barbs with a small group of panda garra. I might have to buy some Denison barbs to go in there, too.
I love Panda Garra, i don't know why i haven't got any yet, i better fix that. And Denison Barbs are one of my all time favorite. I would love a huge tank with a huge school of them.

Not a huge rainbow fan... so i thought. Those fish from Gary Lang- and those pygmy rainbows rock. I need to try jungle val asap! Love the new camera! The glare wasnt bad! Love the blue on those ciprichromis in the low 40 at the beginning. You should show them again when they get bigger!
Your rainbows look great too. I've got a school of balloon red rainbows or millenium rainbows now (not sure exactly some of them are yellow). I've never seen balloon varieties in the west. They are pretty cool, they'll show up in future videos of mine.
Gonna have to come back later and finish watching...so many tanks (O_O)

Enjoyed all the tanks, really like the Tanganyikan tanks, I live in Texas and we have the ideal water for African Cichlids. Still harder to find some of the Tanganyikan Cichlids.

I think it's awesome you have a tank that you breed the guppies in that you trade in for food.
My guppy tank has been useful, but its actually the plecos that make the most money =)

The blue something or other shrimp, very pretty never seen them in shops 😂
Yea, typically only see them online.
Danios are fast so seems like it would be a great addition with other predatory fish. They are pretty good with my aquatic turtle because of their speed and somewhat aggressive temp.

This was two years ago. I am curious if the Cichlids in your tank then, have outgrown it, or do you they only grow to about where they are here in your video?

I was out hiking and came upon some minnows that were in a puddle that was drying up, They were flopping around so i scooped them up, put them in my water bottle and took them home. Had an old ten gallon in the garage that i put them in. Been hooked ever since =)

Where did you find those awesome rocks in the tank by the window? The recent makeover tank.
They are called Mexican Pot rocks, i got them from my local landscaping company.

Great tour, i really enjoyed. Just wanted to ask you what kind of filters are the ones you're using ? Also why do you have these dead snails on the last tank you showed ?
Mainly use sponge filters. My 125g has a sump, and some random hang of the back filters here and there. The dead snails? Maybe that is the puffer tank and he eats snails?

Hey big bob I love your content and I've learned a lot I was interested in keeping dwarf rainbows and apisto macmaseri or vijeita would this be ok I was also thinking on maybe adding corys and maybe electric blue ram or German blues and maybe a couple ottos does this sound like a combo that would work well and this will be a planted tank
Everything sounds good to me except the Blue Rams, they like higher temps and would be competing for the same space as the apistos.

Mostly eco complete, or mr aqua aquarium soil, some just have sand.

I cant imagine the amount of water changing you do. you plant well, do you run a once a month change on each tank?
So for my planted tanks i change 20% weekly, simply because my water is almost completely void of mineral content out of the tap. So the plants consume what little mineral content there is pretty quick. For all other tanks i do 20% bi-weekly.

I have been seeing alot of videos(I noticed you have a couple) sponge filters running without the plastic tube...does it make it work better or did you just not put it on?
Having the plastic tube does create more lift, so in theory more water should be going through. A lot of my sponges are hand me downs and the tubes got lost over time. I generally try to use them but its not really a big deal.

I LOVE PLECOS! Do you know of a small friendly one that would not mind small tetras, cory cats, and other small fish?
Bristle nose is probably your best bet
