Thank you so much 💓 I honestly don't think I did all that much compared to how huge the need is to help rescue animals, and especially how many Emily and Ed take in every day. It's a very large number, and they are so selfless with their energy and cost for caring for them.

That passport activity ya'll came up with is GENIUS!! Not only is it a fun activity for attendees, but it also increases traffic to the participating vendors AND gives more attention to the USARK effort which benefits all of you!! I hope this is just the start of a long running tradition at NARBC (and potentially a lot of other shows)!! 💚
Right? Like ofc you don't want someone going home unaware their gecko might be evil, but at the same time, I can tooootally see somebody being like "nah, I'm not gonna tell anybody, just gonna get this guy gone".
So a running joke in our family is the phrase, “Mom! Where’s the…..?” because we moms have magical abilities to find stuff that no one else can see. (One son thinks I just have the ability to make things appear at will). Emily’s mom being the one to find the puzzle without the piece totally verifies this theory 😂😊
My kids were totally convinced that I had eyes in the back of my neck AND that I could see through walls!😂😂😂 what they didn't understand was that they became too quiet and secretive when they were up to mischief...

A large species would be a monitor or a tegu (though blue tegus and gold tegus don't get big they certainly need a larger enclosure than say a beardie. The issue with bearded dragons is people generally aren't informed and generally see 'gateway animal' into the reptile community. Can they be great starters? Yes, but honestly a leopard gecko, cave gecko, or even a pink tongue skink would be more beginner friendly.

I agree they're not as big as many many other wonderful species but if they see a little baby in the pet store people don't realize what they're getting into. Plus most pet stores are not as responsible about ensuring people have proper enclosures.

I've met a few different hummingbird people now and I'm convinced that they might be fae. My best friend eats almost entirely fruits and sweet drinks and I'm just a tiny bit suspicious lol
I think tying string/sisal in a bow (like a present) around the puzzles would be super cute. It would help stop the boxes from opening but doesn't need extra plastic or require tape which could rip the box. Plus it's biodegradable/reusable.
very true and eco friendly, but the problem is that the puzzles pieces get in the openings and just slide out of the box, so I think the best way still be to put the puzzle pieces in a plastic or paper bags inside the box.
Can you do an updated video on all your hogs and bullsnakes? Including ones you are still growing up? It’s fun to keep track on who you have in your reptile family!

I have recently become obsessed with ackie monitors! I'm planning to build a 6' x 4' triangle corner enclosure to house one in (which will probably take me a few years), but I absolutely love them.
I went to a reptile show in Toronto yesterday and I went over and looked at the Hognose Snakes for the first time in my life and I fell in love!!!! They really are adorable!!!! One day I may be able to get one....but I live in a place that's too small right now and I have my isopods and fish aquarium taking up all my free space. My favourite animal that you are bringing home would definitely be your beautiful Monitor...she's a beauty!
Great show. Loved the pythons. What amazing colours are available. The frogs look great. There was a gecko @ 7:01 that looked amazing. You guys are also amazing organising the dress up meet and greets and everything that must have went into organising the passports too, and all your pins that you offer too. I have not tried that particular black currant drink from 17:04, but black currant is a very popular flavor in Europe. If you're expecting its own unique flavor, then it's good, I think. It's kind of like how cranberry juice is a non-typical fruit flavor and most people would not like it if they took a sip of cranberry juice while expecting it to taste like apple juice. I can imagine, though that black currant would taste really weird (and possibly like tomato sauce) after having just sipped a very sweet mango drink.😅 Fun fact: currants used to be widespread in the US too, and Americans were used to the flavor. But then there was a concerted effort to remove all the currant bushes in the country as much as possible, because they were helping to spread a White Pine Blister Rust disease to our pine trees. The lumber industry was much more important to the US than it was to the EU by the time this disease was spreading, so the US prioritized the trees, and the EU prioritized its food traditions. There're some interesting YT videos on that part of history.

I didn’t want mine, and it was emotional hell to go through (thankfully we didn’t have property or children!)… but with the benefit of almost 20 years hindsight? It was the best thing to happen for me, and it allowed me to move a lot of toxic…everything…from my life. I sincerely, sincerely hope you experience the same. Hold on - it gets better!

I found a prayingmanstes that may not be how you spell it but my grandson took it to school for science and it made a nest of eggs and all the kids love to watch it and all the babys it had We find them all the time but not as good or big as the one he took to school for the teacher to show all the kids in school So thank you for showing the praymests.He love that thing.
Fun fact - blackcurrant is a really popular drink flavour in the UK because during WW2 when we were blockaded we couldn't import much fruit so we grew blackcurrants as they grew well in the climate in the UK and are a good source of vitamin C, so they made concentrated blackcurrant juice drink so the kids could get vitamin C. So a whole generation of Brits grew up drinking blackcurrant squash. :)
Those leaf frogs are gorgeous, I hope they made their way into the zoo, maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a bunch of babies from them since your zoo exhibits seem to be ideal breeding enclosures
You must’ve had a black currant that went bad. Black currant is a fruit and commonly the purple in rainbow candies in Europe. What is normally grape flavored in the US is usually black currant flavored in Europe and I love it! 💕😊
Literally the best TH-cam channel ever, I have watched since I was about 7, now I'm 9, soon too be ten in March🎂 I know it doesn't seem that long, but just look back a year later and you will go: "huh, this was so long ago! 1 year, it takes forever" soooooo yeahh. I found a prayingmanstes that may not be how you spell it but my grandson took it to school for science and it made a nest of eggs and all the kids love to watch it and all the babys it had We find them all the time but not as good or big as the one he took to school for the teacher to show all the kids in school So thank you for showing the praymests.He love that thing.
Kids love praying mantises and they make great school pets too! The egg the female lays is called an ootheca - ooth for short.
Fun fact - blackcurrant is a really popular drink flavour in the UK because during WW2 when we were blockaded we couldn't import much fruit so we grew blackcurrants as they grew well in the climate in the UK and are a good source of vitamin C, so they made concentrated blackcurrant juice drink so the kids could get vitamin C. So a whole generation of Brits grew up drinking blackcurrant squash. :)

You must’ve had a black currant that went bad. Black currant is a fruit and commonly the purple in rainbow candies in Europe. What is normally grape flavored in the US is usually black currant flavored in Europe and I love it! 💕😊

Literally the best TH-cam channel ever, I have watched since I was about 7, now I'm 9, soon too be ten in March🎂 I know it doesn't seem that long, but just look back a year later and you will go: "huh, this was so long ago! 1 year, it takes forever" soooooo yeahh. Just the best channel ever! My favourite video was the rat enclosures! I SWEAR!! Have I mentioned how good this channel is!😅 However, I am not making this comment too long, but I just want the main passage too be that Snake Discovery is the best TH-cam channel ever😘😋😁
