I love this movie! I watched this after watching a bit of an interview on RLM with the screenwriter of The Guest. At one point he describes the bad guy as Mike Myers meets The Terminator. I paused the interview right there to not spoil anything further because I knew that was a movie I wanted to see. I was not disappointed! Definitely gonna have to save up to import this one!
I think I watched that same RLM interview years ago! Definitely grab this one if you love the film! Great release!
This movie has been on my watchlist for 10 years now, and this LTE release has been one of my biggest regrets as far as missing out. Well 4 days ago I bit the bullet on eBay and spent way more than I should’ve, but I got it, and about 10 minutes prior to writing this comment I just finished the movie for the first time. I know I overpaid to get the version, but I have no regrets now. This movie was amazing!! It lived up to the hype and made that $$$ I just spent totally worth it.
Great pick up ! I got the Babadook from second sight and its a solid edition as well.
I really need to get that one and The Nightingale from them. But honestly, the Paranormal Activity set will be my next from them.

Went ahead and ordered this from Second Sight. I really adore this movie. I think it’s the closest to someone imitating Carpenter successfully. If Halloween stayed as an anthology, it would have fit perfectly within that series.
Does this movie stand up to repeated viewings?
One of best low budget thrillers I've seen on the big screen the syth wave score and the neon colours at the end add so much to creepy atmosphere

Based on your review I have bought this 4K - you sold it on it being like a John Carpenter film.. could Dan Stevens be a contender as next James Bond - particularly if they go back to 1960s when Bond was still a young man?

Even though Wingard took a TON of grief over Blair Witch, I thought it was EXCELLENT! It truly had me on the edge of my seat and contained a sense of DREAD that permeated the entire film.
I loved that movie to be honest. Almost as much as the first one. Never got the hate. Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed this film and youre next, Wingard is a good director. Imo . Downtown Abbey is about toffs. The upper crust Bo hoo cry me a River . Just my opinion.

I liked most of the film. But it takes a downward spiral when he blows up the Restaurant. How does he survive those Knife Stabs and end up in a Fireman's Uniform? Makes no sense.
In no uncertain terms its implied he was part of Military experimentation. So, you could classify this as sci fi. & assume that he's superhuman. It's meant to remain a mystery. Thats a big part of what makes this film cool. How on earth does that not make sense to someone who is familiar with the movie world? Also, for anyone else reading, it never takes a downward spiral. The Guest is solid from start to finish. Dont be influenced by this guy
He kills the fireman to take his uniform obviously. Probably dumps his body in the Halloween maze. Are you ok

These damn cards!! What are they for?? Does anyone use them?! Give us a nice poster instead so we can hang it on the wall at least….
You can frame the cards and hang them on the wall. Great for hallways, grouping etc,
I don't know about you guys, but I'm putting them on my fridge. Lol
