Thank you. I'm new to video, but I'm having fun using it to present my photos in a different way.

Excellent video. How about info about the food, for example, or noise on board? Thanks.

Thank-you. The food was excellent with a most definite Swedish/Norwegian slant. My wife got several recipes and a few hugs from the chef. They were very accomodating to some of the other guests that had particular food requirements. Noise was not an issue ... but we do sleep at home with a sound machine.

Thanks for taking us on this journey. Great videography. When is the best month to visit (April ?) and any issues with sea sickness on a small vessel.

Thanks. April is earlier than when most go. However, that means you'll likely not run across other big boats. There is still lots of Ice, so better chance of capturing more Arctic looking images. Most rough seas were at Night when making long moves. Bothered some. Dramamine was our friend.

Lovely. I am travelling there next week. What lens do you recommend 70/200- or 24-70mm. these are both Nikonf2.8. ( Nikon D500 & D850)Appreciate your comments..(I am a hobbyist)

Thank-you. Have a wonderful time !! It is a magical place. Both lenses would be good to have with you, and are excellent. The 24-70 will work well for landscapes and ice. I used mine quite a lot for those type of images. The 70-200 will also allow you to get some more isolated images of ice. However, if you are looking for images of wildlife ... you will need something with a much longer range like a 100-400 or a 180-600. Even with those, a teleconverter might be necessary for some wildlife sightings (I often shot with a 180-600 and a 1.4x TC). If you don't want to invest more money in another lens, think about picking up a 2.x teleconverter. You can put it on the 70-200 and effectively have a 140-400 lens without much more money or weight. You will lose 2 stops of light, but since it is the land of the midnight sun ... you won't be shooting in darker conditions as often. My wife used a set up like that in Africa and it worked pretty well, although you are a lot closer to the wildlife in Africa than in the Arctic.

@@dmakiphoto Many thanks. I do have 200/500 f 5.6 but it is a task to lug. I will go with the TC. Again many thanks. appreciate your advice
