- It's been a while, but I'm back with a tiny video about even tinier models. I paint up a small Kill Team of 15mm 3d printed Ultramarines to the best standard I could! Even if that means putting transfers on them...

I mainly do 2-15mm scale painting. I enjoy it when i stumble upon hidden gems like this video. Subbed
Love 15mm sf.
Kill Me For Prizes (KMFP designs) is the sculpter / designer of the Orbital knights and they are fantastic and among my favourite minis!
I have far far to many in my hobby drawers all at 6mm and many painted in loads of different ways - theyre great! He has a mechanicus and Squat alternatives too - though i havent worked with the squat alternatives yet!
Good to see them getting around tho :D
Thanks for the info! Those mechanics sculpts are looking super tempting
That was helpful
Brilliant. I've got my next project figured out! Thanks. 😊
Awsome tutorial - Hi from central Africa ;-)
Hey thanks! Central Africa? Man, the internet is amazing. Cheers from the East Coast US

Having painted 15mm Greek and Italian WW2 Forces, as well as some 15mm Medieval stuff for fantasy gaming, I will say for the people like me who have doubts about the legality of basing miniatures with legal currency, 19mm Washers or Strike Plates are more or less the exact same size and just as workable.
15mm is a nice scale where it's easy to store, cheap, and usually has enough detail that someone coming from "28mm Heroic" (about 35mm at this point) should feel happy with spending a lot of time on them while also being small enough that the 28mm Painting Elitism doesn't tend to rear it's ugly head for people who really just want to get something painted and on the table...
Remember: Two modestly painted armies battling over decent terrain looks great in aggregate.
I honestly really enjoyed the ability to get basically the same level of detail on a smaller miniature in half the time. As someone who struggles with the monotony of batch painting, these guys were a breeze. Even the 10 orks I painted up later were less of a slog.
Thinking of doing some more soon
I’ve been away from the hobby for a few years. 3D printing is a legit option now and I think I would prefer to play at this size. The massive battles and titans in a game would be great.
I'm a big fan of this scale for painting, but I have heard (and I'm no expert) that 8mm is the absolute best for massive battles. And there's more options as it's new 40k epic scale. But these 15mm are my personal favorites
Did you buy multiple sets or just one? I'm trying to find the page on etsy that has all the figures you used but can't find one.
Great video by the way!
I bought 3 sets of 30 from an Etsy seller. I'll double check the link works!
Wow, youtube deleted my comment and gave me a community warning just by saying you should buy a printer instead buying the minis from a third party.
