Canadians are such sweet genuinely friendly people. My old job, our home office was in BC and I absolutely loved the people there. Even though it was our corporate office, they made you feel like they were just regular employees like us. I miss them! The US could use kind people like Canada.
I have to say this was probably my favorite video of yours so far. What great finds. You guys are fun. Thanks for what you do. Karen you are very gifted!😊
The glass lazysusan had a plate that set on top of it with individual plates for vegies with a covered dish in the middle of the plate. My Mom had one we used it for big family dinners.
Man what a rush! This was amazing y'all ! So much goodness in one video! The tramp art box was to die for! But the butterfly display Stole the show QUEEN BEE you are amazing! just beautiful
So glad you took the pink Christmas tree. With tiny lights, velvet bows, white balls, mirrors and a spot light!!! It will be stunning. And your butterfly display is now and evermore an heirloom work of art. Beautiful job, Karen...
I watch George and soak up all his knowledge. I also watch the Vintage Bombshell who has a Victorian home in Oregon and has found some amazing items to suit her house at estate sales, thrift stores and flea markets etc. She is also lovely and entertaining which helps!
I love the tramp art box! I inherited a tramp art box from my mom, that my great grandfather made in the early 1900's. It has his picture framed inside and fabric attached on the front with a German word embroidered in the fabric. I have never had the word exactly translated but I think it has something to do with wishing good health, because he gifted it to her when she broke her leg as a young teenager. What a beautiful gift for your friend! Love the butterfly display Karen made too. On to the next!!!
OMG Karen the butterfly display is awesome! I'm a crier as well - a friend of mine got me a huge lot of vintage Barbies with clothes and accessories. I literally cried for 2 days because the generosity was overwhelming. Barbies are one of my favorite things to collect along with porcelain and cornflower glass, pinwheel crystal and perfume bottles. Because I became bedridden 5 years ago I can no longer get to garage sales, so her gift was even more meaningful. 100% your friend will cry because that piece you found is amazing!
George, the antique nomad is so knowledgeable. I’ve been a fan of his for a while and actually the crazy lamp lady, Jocelyn is the one that introduced me to his TH-cam channel. You two would like her channel too.
Hey watch you guys all the time and love your videos! Karen the display with the butterflies is absolutely gorgeous! I love seeing the work you do, which I wish you would show more of but this was just stunning! Can’t wait to see the next video, stay safe and be well! 💖
Such a great sale! Saw that same video by George where he mentions you. That Monarch display Karen made is divine! That tramp art box's worth is great.
I watch George also. I found him thru another you tuber Crazy Lamp Lady. I think they live in the same area. Your collection of sterling salt and pepper shakers might fit on the small glass lazy Susan. Karen, your butterfly display is awesome! You are so talented! 😀
The butterflies are beautiful Karen! I go out and find the butterfly caterpillars. I have a butterfly house. I feed them milkweed leaves. When they are ready to change, they climb to the top and hang for about a couple days, make their chrysalis. They are in that for about a week. Then the butterfly emerges. They hang to dry their wings. Then I reach in to get them out. They will sit on my hand for a few minutes and then fly away to a safe place to finish drying. So cool.
Holy mamamackeral said the stuttering grandma!! I would have bought everything you did, plus. Great idea on the butterfly display Karen, it really does them justice. Cant get over the tratratratramp art box, I'd cry (sob) too, if I were gifted something like that!!!! Wish I could still do all I used to do, the lamp shades recovering will be a creative blast for you, loved doing all that kind of stuff at one time, but alas, no more. Poor me, poor me!! Soooooo much fun, had a great time with you two, keep on keeping on!!
I loved that butterfly display. I like your videos so much I forget to hit the thumbs up button. Your videos have helped me through recovery of massive surgery. Keep on hunting!
I once went into a coach store. Never heard of it before. Needed a purse and was looking. A sales person asked me "would you like to try it on?" Never in my life have I been asked if I wanted to try on a purse! I'll stick with my thrift store purses! Plus, the one I was looking at was over $500! OMG
Hmm, I had to look up that Avon swan tealight holder, because I've never come across that one before.---I had to enlarge my screen to see if that set of dishes was Watertown, but nope to that either.---That metal box looks like a miner's lunch pail.---It's always great fun to see the shopping trips for your weekend treasures. (I thought the belt buckle lady was a hoot!)
Great stuff! I think Kay meant it when she said charge more. When I added things up was around 25, then they said 31, and then I thought I heard 41. That's why I don't like when things are not priced, I always ask so I have an idea of a running total. Still were some cool things though, thanks for sharing your adventures
I see you got the PINK CHRISTMAS TREE. I remember in the 50's-60's-colored trees were a big deal. ALUMINUM TREES w/a color wheel, WHITE and COLORED FLOCKED TREES also in style. Today, my opinion is BALSAM HILL ARTIFICIAL TREES and WREATHS are the best choice. I stopped buying FRESH-CUT trees, wreaths, table decorations long-ago. I am 72yrs old / German ancestry, Christmas decor is a BIG DEAL! I enjoy the videos, Thanks Susan from Fairfield, California USA
We also love The Antique Nomad! Very informative, Old Curiosity Shop is another good one if you like art Deco collectibles. The sun dial is awesome! Good finds guys!
Was the deer (called bone by Karen) carving made from deer/elk antler? I ask because when in Canada I purchased a necklace carved from elk antler. Similar. Barbara
Wow, what a rude rhing to say. Seems like someone's mother never taught them that if you dont have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Like you would be wearing something you thought was ugly. Anyway, just wanted to rant a sec. What a great video. I love the finds. Hi, from Kentucky. I look forward to your videos each week.
😆😆 Kay's sure a character... she is just blunt and calls it like she sees it. 🤣 We think she's funny but I can see how if you don't know her like we do, maybe she can come off a little.... abrasive.. altho I'm sure she doesn't mean it that way. 😅😅 Hahaha thanks so much Rosa!! 🤍❤️🤍
I cannot believe that lady said your belt buckle was ugly who can deny it. I honestly think that’s the rudest thing I’ve ever heard someone who is so friendly say.
We park where we think the truck will easily fit and won't b in the way if we can, plus we're still young enough to walk. Also, it's really not as far as it looks on video.
I ATTEMPTED to do a "Magic Mind" subscription via your code and then get whatever extra off that you spoke about, but it didn't work for me! Maybe "User error"? 🤣
Hmm... I'm sure if you contact Magic Mind they can help you personally or even try to retroactively apply the discount if you went thru with the order anyway.
No, don't buy the butterflies that only leads to people killing them to be sold! It's adding to the problem. We want butterflies, they're pollinators and they're beautiful❤
Nobody 😊 - It's an "Insta360" camera. It can see 360° and I can move the frame around later in editing. Check out this video I made with it - then you will understand. You can look around in the video with your mouse or finger -> th-cam.com/video/7bjBxETloXQ/w-d-xo.html
The butterfly display is very reminiscent of the turn of the century nature displays, beautiful!
Absolutely love the butterfly display - you did an amazing job Karen! And ai don’t normally like butterflies!😂❤️
I’m 67 and I think your belt buckle is cool!
OMG, OMG, OMG I love, love that butterfly display, I was thinking "I would have scooped those butterflies right up too!!!" they look beautiful!!!!
Canadians are such sweet genuinely friendly people. My old job, our home office was in BC and I absolutely loved the people there. Even though it was our corporate office, they made you feel like they were just regular employees like us. I miss them! The US could use kind people like Canada.
Not only do I love watching you but I also follow George 😂❤
George is a regular encyclopedia of information. His knowledge of glass is unbelievable!

Terrific how you are displaying the butterflies

Love those lampshades. I recover them Victorian style.
Wow so many great finds. I can't believe George the Nomad was in Regina. Very cool!!
He was in Vancouver.
The coach bag was nice

We're sending the little tree to a friend who loves pink. 😊😊

Hi, would love to see your yard
❤the Mercury glass bowl❤wow
Was the deer (called bone by Karen) carving made from deer/elk antler? I ask because when in Canada I purchased a necklace carved from elk antler. Similar. Barbara
That thing is soap stone
What a haul!
Maybe move the truck close to the sale to pick up the stuff you bought

Karen loves freee boxes ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I cannot believe that lady said your belt buckle was ugly who can deny it. I honestly think that’s the rudest thing I’ve ever heard someone who is so friendly say.
Loved the treasures!..Why do you park so far away from the sales?
We park where we think the truck will easily fit and won't b in the way if we can, plus we're still young enough to walk. Also, it's really not as far as it looks on video.
Surprised that you are not familiar with soapstone. Orientals have been carving it for hundreds of years.
Are you guys using a drone for overhead shots? What kind?
It's an Insta360 camera.
33:27 Doesn’t the person you bought that for (Angie) watch your channel so she will know you bought it for her for Christmas? 🤔
❤️❤️❤️
How much did they charge you for that tramp art box? I love wooden boxes!❤ Never mind i daw it at the end!
❤❤you have nice fans❤❤
I love the truck camera. I like the view. Karen saw that tap on Rob's butt. Ha Ha truck camera.
I ATTEMPTED to do a "Magic Mind" subscription via your code and then get whatever extra off that you spoke about, but it didn't work for me! Maybe "User error"? 🤣

Who is flying the drone while you guys are walking?
Nobody 😊 - It's an "Insta360" camera. It can see 360° and I can move the frame around later in editing.
Check out this video I made with it - then you will understand. You can look around in the video with your mouse or finger -> th-cam.com/video/7bjBxETloXQ/w-d-xo.html
who is in the back of the truck with a camera?
Nobody!! It is a 360° camera - which means I can move it around later in editing. Very cool.
