This drama is *everything* , I love it so much especially *Hua Biao* , he's not just a boyfriend material but also very responsible and loving grandson. And he kinda reminds me of *Luhan* . One of the best Chinese Drama for me, very relatable.

As you watch the whole drama you'll realize that they have actually "started dating" in the early episodes. It's just that the "I like you" and the "I love you" were not said obviously, but expressed through their actions. They do things for each other because, as they both said, "It is important to you." Also, I love how Hua Biao supported Yang Xi in all that she does and being patient with her in her studies. And I love how Yang Xi helps Hua Biao overcome his difficulties in life. It's a relief that in the final episode, it was revealed that Hua Biao liked Yang Xi way before they knew each other. At first I was sad about the ending but with that kind of love, we know they'll eventually be together. It may be close to impossible, but I still hope that a second season will be made because this is a lovely story that should go on. :)

They did maybe not end up together, but the ending was still beautiful, and they chose to focus on their priorities. Till now I'm still not over this, I'm still waiting for a season 2!!!!
It's really funny when Hua Biao wears his Dad's suit to look good. Hahahaha! I'll never get tired watching this drama again and again. It's a real masterpiece. The story is really great with lots of cute scenes that makes me want to fall in love again! Expect the unexpected! I badly want a season 2! 💜

Hua Biao wrote a letter to Yang Xi at the end, stating where he’s taking his grandmother, how he wants her to see the world before she loses all her consciousness. At the end of the letter, he tells her to wait for him at Qin university and to call him Hua Biao instead of the nickname Yang Xi called him in previous eps. The nickname meant bad luck which she apologized for when he told her he’s not attending college. This is the first clue the director drops hinting that the two leads will meet again after his grandmother completely loses it or dies. The second one comes after this scene when Er Tiao goes oversea to pursue his business career. He calls his father on the phone as he’s exiting Hua Biao’s house. His father had just bought the house because Hua Biao needed extra money to travel with his grandma. Er Tiao tells his father on the phone to keep the house safe, to not touch anything in the house, to leave it as is it, meaning Hua Biao will be back again to live in said house. There are probably other clues I missed or forgot I finished the drama long ago but those are the main two obvious ones I clearly remember. The two “don’t end up together” if you want to speak on technical terms yes but all scenes during half of the last ep point otherwise. So yes, it /is/ a happy ending. They /do/ end up together. It’s not portrayed in the drama bc it would have been rushed since they’d just literally graduated high school. Plus, the current ending is more open and more opportunistic, giving Hua Biao and Master Li a chance to put their families first instead of education which will always await them as they’re only 18. i just finished this drama yesterday and i can say this is the best youth cdrama ive ever watched. the last (whole) episode had me crying like a river (especially the scene where they didn't say goodbye to each other 😭) bcs of how emotional it is. it isn't actually a sad ending, it is just a heartbreaking ending where they had to separate ways in some reasons. for those who's still hesitant to watch this, go on! u can't miss this drama! 100000/10

Hua Biao smiles even though everything isn't okay. Even though he's hurt. He's trying his best not to cry but in the end he will end up crying because he can't take it, sadness is eating him. I love the way he doesn't spoil Yang Xi in his studies, he teaches her with his full efforts and patience. His love for his grandma is amazing.. I love him so much :< i'm hopinh for season 2, and I hope they will end up together :

I rarely watch Asian dramas but this one right here, my friends, is one to marathon in the span of 48 hours. The actors who played Yang Xi and Hua Biao have the best on-screen chemistry i have ever seen in young actors these days. It puzzles me how the director/actors could portray the r/s between the two main leads in such a pure and endearing manner (completely non-sexual) and yet still send gazillion amounts of butterflies down the viewers' stomachs. I laughed, I fumed, I cried. Yes, the ending that was left for us was ambiguous but isn't this what youth is all about? Having the advantage of time and making choices and learning from them, be it right or wrong. I can't get enough of the interactions between Xi and Biao, let's cross our fingers and pray REAAALLYYYY hard for a season 2! Ps. Hua Biao is totally swoon-worthy: so handy & dependable, so mature for his age, so responsible!
I'm almost done with this drama and it's so good. I love how close all of the friends are with each other especially Hua Biao and Yang Xi. I ship them so hard. I heard the last episode is sad so I'm preparing myself. I know I'm gonna tear up in the scene where Yang Xi and Hua Biao are together and then Hua Biao breaks down crying in the rain in front of Yang Xi. I really want to see that scene even though I know it's going to be so sad.

Can't move on from this couple. Just finished the last episode 3 hours ago, I'm a crying mess. This is not your typical romcom, it depicts reality and never ending lessons. I felt butterflies on stomach, cried and laughed with them. I might not watch other series for the meantime. This is a masterpiece

The parts in which their friendship was to be seen... Really loved it. (although my eyes are swollen now). I began loving all the characters more and more by each episode. I just loved it so much. Their bond is soooo admirable. I hope their friendship can last forever. It is so pure. I hope they will meet again in the future. All together again. And remember the good days of their youth at high school. *season 2 is what i neeeeedddd* I hope Hua Biao and Yang Xi can end up together at university and still be together. I have had so many ships during this drama: huabiao&yangxi, liyu&huangdengdeng, hemei&the brother or hemei&ertiao, teacher Kong and the english teacher... This drama is really good. It made me reflect myself. They have, especially Hua Biao, not so perfect lifes, but are still so good and pure and intelligent and ajrohjao;etnj everything. It let me see that I'm so lucky while I don't even work that hard. It really changed me. I will do better this new year. *I do really need a season 2 with this same cast. I need to see if my wishes as stated above come true. And to see if I haven't wept all these tears for nothing*

"Happy Ending" because there are some things that they finally achieved after working so hard for it. Also, they're doing something that makes them happy. But also "Sad Ending" because they separated ways at the end, which breaks my heart into pieces to see them saying goodbyes to each other. 💔 That's the sad part of the ending. It's hard to see someone who already became a big part of your life leave.😢💔 It is sad, but it actually happens in real life. Hopefully, there would be season 2 where in they will all meet again. I'm really hoping there would be Season 2 of this drama because I really love it. 🙏💕

I rarely watch Asian dramas but this one right here, my friends, is one to marathon in the span of 48 hours. The actors who played Yang Xi and Hua Biao have the best on-screen chemistry i have ever seen in young actors these days. It puzzles me how the director/actors could portray the r/s between the two main leads in such a pure and endearing manner (completely non-sexual) and yet still send gazillion amounts of butterflies down the viewers' stomachs. I laughed, I fumed, I cried. Yes, the ending that was left for us was ambiguous but isn't this what youth is all about? Having the advantage of time and making choices and learning from them, be it right or wrong. I can't get enough of the interactions between Xi and Biao, let's cross our fingers and pray REAAALLYYYY hard for a season 2!
Ps. Hua Biao is totally swoon-worthy: so handy & dependable, so mature for his age, so responsible!

I'm almost done with this drama and it's so good. I love how close all of the friends are with each other especially Hua Biao and Yang Xi. I ship them so hard. I heard the last episode is sad so I'm preparing myself. I know I'm gonna tear up in the scene where Yang Xi and Hua Biao are together and then Hua Biao breaks down crying in the rain in front of Yang Xi. I really want to see that scene even though I know it's going to be so sad.

I cried so much during the drama. so so so much. The sad parts. The lovely parts. The cute parts. The parts in which their friendship was to be seen... Really loved it. (although my eyes are swollen now). I don't like the ending that much, but I do find it very beautiful (kind of contrasting haha I know)
Each character was so beautiful in this story. The friendship too. I began loving all the characters more and more by each episode. I just loved it so much. Their bond is soooo admirable.
I hope their friendship can last forever. It is so pure. I love it sooooo much. I hope they stay in contact while everybody is chasing their dreams. Sending each other letters or something. Frequently calling each other. I hope they will meet again in the future. All together again. And remember the good days of their youth at high school.

This drama is really good. It made me reflect myself. They have, especially Hua Biao, not so perfect lifes, but are still so good and pure and intelligent and ajrohjao;etnj everything. It let me see that I'm so lucky while I don't even work that hard. It really changed me. I will do better this new year.
*I do really need a season 2 with this same cast. I need to see if my wishes as stated above come true. And to see if I haven't wept all these tears for nothing*

"Happy Ending" because there are some things that they finally achieved after working so hard for it. Also, they're doing something that makes them happy. But also "Sad Ending" because they separated ways at the end, which breaks my heart into pieces to see them saying goodbyes to each other. 💔 That's the sad part of the ending. It's hard to see someone who already became a big part of your life leave.😢💔 It is sad, but it actually happens in real life. Hopefully, there would be season 2 where in they will all meet again.
