That looks like an awesome project!
edit: after a smoked radio and Tx, I finally got it working! Tips from a novice: check FTDI jumper is set to 3,3V and in all excitement don't pinsh any wires reassembling. That's how my first attempt ended, since the T-lite doesn't come with any protections. For the rest everything is as simple as Jye makes it look ;)
    Thanks again Jye for sharing!

Finally! That’s the way I’m wanting to go but I’m not sure about installing the parts on the board.

how can i make 2 indoor modules? Is it possible to just connect the internal module to the contacts of the external one?

I like the internal module to avoid the bulky add on at the back.

I made according to your project. lua script runs but sometimes settings are not saved. and the binding fails. could it be a power issue? i use step down AMS1117

Just tried updating a v1 version to v3 without success. Cannot even flash it via UART (no connection). Any tips? WIFI updating keeps failing.

Nice! It would be awesome if you (or someone similarly brilliant) could design a similar, internal module for Tango 2. Yes, I know, it has a nano module capability, but it makes it way less portable and more awkward and an internal ELRS module plus Edge TX (reportedly coming in several months, with 2.7 release), would make it an ultimate travel weapon....

Man I was really hoping CRSF/crossfireshot was added to opentx for the internal module so we could still have the external module as an option, that to me is the INTERNAL expresslrs I would want. Any word on that man? Still good work but I want it all haha waiting to buy a t-lite until CRSF is added as an option to internal module code so it could be as good as a Tango 2 basically, let me know if you have heard anything! Thanks!

    Nice Work!
Just finished my slim module for the T-Lite and was wondering if it was possible to fit it inside.
Maybe a minimal 2-sided board would fit into the right bottom of the Jumper allowing to keep the internal module working - need to fit a 2nd Antenna then...

  • @DerFrickler

Do you have ELRS Telemetry working on the T-Lite?
for me the RC-Control is working, but the Telemetry sensors show up but are not updated.

    Jye:
I'm a newbie. Am I correxct this video describes only your group's Express LRS development board?
I just ordered Happymodel's ES24-Jumper T-LIte and the Happymodel JR bay ES24 modules.
Do you know if the Happymodel versions follow features of your board, especially the circumvention of the Jumper T-Lite power problem?
Thanks. The hobby is very greatly indebted to your ingenuity and sharing. - Jim

yeah this is incredibly sick. ELRS in general.... really hope happy model comes out a 2.4 with built in antenna. Anyways, I just purchased a few of the ELRS RX. Anyway the above ones can be made for Jumper T-lite? I think I might be too dumb to make it on my own, but willing to pay extra for someone to make it who knows what they're doing. I think I can install it myself to my T-lite. Anyways sick project

I wonder mate. Since you only use VOUT, VIN, and GND pins on the regulator (at least that's what it looks like to me), can I just use other 3.3V regulator that have only 3 pins?

    • @tuttuti123
      @tuttuti123 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes you'll have to use expresslrs receivers now. But how I see it, Happymodel are making some really cheap receivers for expresslrs, and they are really cheap. They are as expensive as the cheapest flysky receivers I usually buy so it's a total win in my opinion.

I don't know if this is within your scope or not, but what's the likelihood of the T-lite being able to support 900mhz eLRS? Jumper has said that they wont support R9 at all.

ELRS on the r9 works fine. ELRS uses the sport pin like CRSF etc
