OC. As someone who will be a new rider, hopefully soon, seeing all the great safety gear coming out makes me feel incredibly comfortable and happy. The safety measures available to riders now are leaps and bounds above where they were when I was a kid. Thank you guys for another great video. I need to do more research about airbag vests before I decide if I will get one once I'm riding. This channel is possibly the only channel I truly trust when it comes to bike or gear reviews.
Had my first deployment this weekend of Helite. Stopped on a gravel road corner and mis read the camber, put right foot down…and down…and down. Ended up laying it down gently but the airbag still deployed, I was still holding the handlebars
Good luck finding a manual trigger bag because I ordered one back in April and still have not gotten it. Just recently had them switch it to the electronic version because inventory hasn’t improved.
April?! How many weeks did you wait? I ordered the mechanical-trigger version 4 weeks ago, their site says 6-8 weeks... I was hoping to have mine in a couple weeks :/
@@dhess34 I only received my bag because I caved in a switch to the electronic version. They told me that they might have stock (manual version) in September. The back order is completely ridiculous. They are not making as many manual version probably because they want to regain their R&D for the crapper electronic version nobody wants lol smh. What a 💩 show.
Hi, thanks for the video, great info. I ordered the manual in April, was offered and just received the electronic. It feels heavy-ish to pick up but very comfy to wear. I am setting out from Vancouver Canada to Panama and have been working on getting pack weight and volume down. One thing has been aluminum top case is heavy and carried high, I just realized I can zip off and strap the backpack to my rack and zip it on for easy carry and security when off bike (I had planned on leaving backpack at home and use airbag and water bladder on this trip). Also I was never happy with inreach attached to bike, I’ll look at how you’ve done it. Thank you
OC: So sick. I just ordered the electronic version from fc moto yesterday. The mechanical one wasn’t in stock anywhere, and my wife doesn’t want my riding my new 800nk without it. DC
OC: I hate that I don't get notified for these videos anymore. BUUUUUUT I did get to watch it today since there was no video this morning. I definitely prefer the mechanical trigger mostly to get the safety advantages with a lower barrier of entry.
The coverage seems very limited, compared to the Turtle or A*. 0:46 The coevrage is so narrow that it's most likely useless for most accident situations. The only thing it does well is to hold the head in place..

mechanical or electronic ?
@@caffeine_carl the mechanical tether
You had the tether adjusted too tight. That's what happened.

Hello. thanks for the review. Is it possible to use the airbag system (without the back pack bag) under the jacket?
OC: Definitely prefer the electronic trigger. I never go for a ride without my Alpinestar airbag vest. Better safe than sorry when you're on 2 wheels.

Does it force your helmet to move over head, if on a supersport, wearing thick vlothing layers and tucking? Thanks
about the straps rubbing the neck- I would say wearing a neck gaiter would be the easiest solution personally… although i don’t own one so not sure

Rick and Chase have the exact same laugh 😂
🤣🤣🤣those memes at the beginning are awesome
just make a vest with styro inserts, same size as that inflated backpack. i dont mind it being bulky if its way cheaper....LOL
WOuld you mind telling us your dimensions? I am 5-10 and 260. I am worried about the fit before I buy it.
He said 6’3” and 320lbs
As a fellow fluffy dude, our airbags are built in bro

what helmet does he have on?
Should deploy if hit from behind, unless it wasn’t a hard hit.

Fortnite says this is the best airbag. Gonna trust Ryan on this one...
Fortnite 😂
Ordered one! Wwould there be other usecases for this, by the way? Would you carry it the next time you go horseback riding? :)
Did he show how to tether the backpack to the bike?
I did not, Its a very simple strap you can attach to any part of your bikes frame. mine is connected to the frame just under my seat!
Damn, you married good cook! Goo😁
OC - I have to go with electric trigger; if I have an "oh s'it" moment, I may rely on that auto function more so than me pulling a trigger mechanism.
You don't have to pull a trigger... the trigger is attached to the bike... the airbag deploys if you fly of the bike
