VFR 750 RC36 practicing twisties / V4 sound

- 1993 RC36, modified stock muffler. I am currently practicing where to look, lean, position the bike at slow speeds.
Use headphones or large speakers for the V4 burble ;-)

La 750 VFR avec la bulle haute est une super moto, pour le plaisir que j'ai eu a rouler sur cette moto, année 1987, avec une véritable joua pour l'adrénaline que j'avais pu ressentir avec cette reine de la moto, pour le confort qu'il y avait sur la selle de cette superbe moto, j'en étais tombé amoureux, pour le bruit de son moteur, calme, sans être agressif avec la bulle haute !

La 750 VFR m'avait permis de rouler à de forte vitesse, avec son bruit moteur agréable c'était le top !!!!

@suawek Sorry I accidentally hid your comment and cant restore it.
So I completely stripped it, removed everything. I put one big baffle right at the start of the muffler, after that its a straight perforated tube with metal fiber packing. So it kind of looks like a sport muffler with an additional baffle at the start. I didnt change jetting, because the baffle generates enough backpressure, and even with fully open mufflers this bike runs fine jetted stock.
My experience is that a sport muffler can mess up idle, making it unstable. This muffler changed nothing except sound.
@Stahlkatze Thanks for reply! I am considering improving sound (not that it's bad out of the box) in future so maybe I'll do something similar ;)
I also found it nice when opening it at low speed but come on, I bought a V4 and cannot hear it above 50kph? No thanks :-D
Note that you will need a TIG welder and some skill with it when closing the muffler, its made of rather thin sheet metal. Also, welding it will damage the chrome plating, making it prone to rust. I painted the front end (at the weld), but if you have a shiny perfect factory can, then I suggest you buy a spare one and cut that instead.

Moi aussi j'ai aimé la 750 VFR, que j'ai gardé quatre ans, c'est des problème de santé qui m'avait obligé de la vendre, et j'en garde un super souvenir, oui j'étais tombé amoureux de cette superbe moto !

Thanks 😁It is usually in my backpack, in the lowest, rearest pocket. I wrap it in cloth or sponge.
These are more like open sweepers hardly what I call twisties as in many tight blind winding rapid alternating left right with rapid elevation and mid corner camber changes.
Haha yes, agreed.. its almost as good as it gets in Hungary, we do not have many real twisties.
