I agree, apprenticeship, follow and work with a seasoned and experienced herbalist first. When I was a studying nurse, part of my training was to work in a hospital, a nursing home and a Healthcare clinic while being mentored. My father was a master Carpenter and had young, just schooled carpenters working with him for a time. We all benefit from an introduction to a trade by an experienced elder.
What a wonderful interview! I love and respect you both! And I agree about Phyllis’ accent. I grew up for a while in West Virginia before moving to Illinois, and I was just hit, how much I miss that southern voice. Thank you for all the great info and stories.
I really appreciated the remarks about the lack of apprenticeship program. More schools of herbology seem to be just focused on making money and forget the essence (spirit) of herbalism which is more than just learning about constituents. I wish I had someone to guide me in this area however I am honoured and grateful for Rosemary bringing these videos with the Elders as I have learned so much.
I really enjoyed hearing about her herbal life journey.
I love what Phyllis had to say about American Ginseng and reclaiming our plants.
Blessings to all who see this. No matter how alone we feel, are all on this beautiful journey together ❤
Love Phyllis! Thank you for sharing her with all of us!! ❤
Thanks !
