The efficient use of space is incredible and intuitive. Most people will try to put the kitchen along a side wall, but by doing what you did, you preserve headroom and upper cabinet space. I'm going to build a variant of this if I can get more details. I may make an alteration to the steps and maybe try to avoid pocket doors due to how hard they are to fix when they break, but otherwise, this design is absolutely prefect in both its organization and aesthetic. I'm already visualizing how much lumber I will need to construct on the new land.
Well done to the efforts of the civil engineer who prepared his project. Interior and exterior architectural designs, including home furnishings, are outstanding. I was shocked watching. Everything is perfectly designed for the family
A-frames were very popular in the Sierra Nevada's because they could handle the major snowfall with the steep roof design. My only thing about this design, while very nice, is I wouldn't want to have to climb down those steep stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. This is "flaw" for some with many tiny homes also. Perhaps the back balcony area could be modified to have a small half bathroom.
I was thinking the same thing. There is no way climbing down in the middle of the night after drinking too much sitting in front of the fireplace or out on the back porch staring over the lake!
@@slashbat2375 My wife got poops with her periods too; she had a hysterotomy but believe she still has periodic effects from hormones. Much of my adult life I have gotten up for a wee in the middle of the night. I suspect the loft beds in tiny homes and the like would be best for young adults.

I loved the project! I noticed that the building is close to the ground, how is the foundation of this house made? Is it concrete to put underneath and then build on top?

we have tons of A frame houses in my area, they were a trend in 1970's when land was comparably cheap here, they are a curse to live in, too cold downstairs, way too hot upstairs, the angled walls are head magnets, the stairs are always too steep, and the lack of windows in the sides gives a tunnel effect. lastly the bottom of the angled walls always gets really dirty on the outside, and on the inside collect dust in an area that is hard to keep clean. Actions speak louder than words, those that survive now have been heavily modified, and at great expense due to the limits of original design.
What about when it rains where is all that water going to go it's gonna be muddy all around and plus looks like it might even come inside if it rains a lot..
The design is excellent . frame would take seven to be fair . but . it shows the potential is there for a potential build . mind over matter , with a really good thought process just about anything is possible . . raise my hat to you for the design modern clean lines .
Generally nice layout, but with some weird design choices: why set 2nd floor door to side, needing to notch door? Why the partial white wall(s) on 2nd floor. Why not leave that open (to flue/view)? Replace chandelier with lighted fan (for air circulation/heat distribution). (I do like the stone wall/stairs/fireplace layout and balcony.) Remove big cabinet (fridge?) and put fridge/freezer (also washer/dryer combo) under counter. Put storage in bath (behind toilet) and change storage in 1st floor bedroom.
The engineer who made this project probably never cook with spreading oil all over furniture, that's why he placed the stove near the couch. Also the stairs degrees are enormous, bet you can't drink 4 big tequilas and made it up or down. Even sober that would be a challenge.

I'd want to rework that floorplan. I would definitely not want the master bedroom to be at the top of a flight of stairs like that. Can you image you wake up in the middle of the night having to pee and you misstep on those stairs? You're basically dead. LOL I might make the upstairs a home office or entertainment room (moving the TV and sofa) or something. Have the master bedroom be on the main level. Much safer that way. I'd also want to set that thing up on a east/west orientation and get solar panels on there.

I'd be careful with shipping container houses there's a female architect on here TH-cam who made a very good video about the challenges regarding Shipping container houses and some of the issues you must first solve before you try to make them livable Granted she never said that you can't do it or that you shouldn't do it but to pay close attention to the many costs which will be present if you decide to go that route

Every time you post a video I'm shocked by the designers and people who enthusiastically comment...Who among you lives in a house (however modest it is) without an oven and without a washing machine??(and let's no talk about the sofa attached to the hob wich,after preparing the first meal,navigates in the greasy dirt!) Going up the stairs without a railing do you fall directly on the stove or on the wood trolley?

Why don't you let us know how you really feel... There's a kinder way to express your thoughts. Btw, there are people who have tiny homes as a 2nd get away place. They don't particularly care about an oven - a couple burners and a microwave will do. I have a second place - with a washer/dryer. But I often bring stuff home to wash- because I don't want to take the time while I'm on vacation. Personally, I don't think I could live in such a small place- but what a gem for a get away.
It would ok when your young going up stairs when your getting old can be rough on the legs and feet specially when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night that's fir sharing the A-frame house
This is not for families. Ovens are just enclosed heating spaces. Modify a recipe to be single serving, and you have an "oven" just by using a lid on the burners. Washing machines and laundry detergent do not clean the bacteria off clothes. Had a gi that would reek even after washing from hiw much I used it. You can check by letting some clothing sit in a washing machine filled with detergenty water. If it cleaned, it would not stink after a few days. Better off getting a container with bacteria killing additives added to water, and let clothes just soak in it a day or two then dry it. The agitation in a washing machine does basically nothing.
I like A frame homes but this staircase would never pass code in the USA. I wouldn't mind owning one like it as long as my knees don't give out but as I approach retirement I think about joint longevity.
Very unique design for such a small space. Need to add stair railing. Would be nice to have space for chairs on the balcony - make the bedroom a little smaller & bump out balcony. Also, I would like to see a smaller footprint for dining furniture - and add a chair to that space instead. A kitchen can never be too small- yours is fine.

Great design, spiral staircase though, these steps are too steep. I went down head first in Amsterdam in similar steps at 3am. But overall I love it.

As it is in video, about $50,000 if you build it yourself. I think they must be selling the floor plan for $7000... no way it’s build for that.

The blueprints are a scam. It's just a drawing of the floors. No line item sheet. No dimensions but the parameters of the rooms. It's trash.
