Fantastic video content Brando. Vietnam is on my list of countries to visit someday, hopefully soon. I’ve already visited Japan and traveled through China. I like your idea of walking the route to the property. It just gives a more overall detailed idea of what to expect when booking a particular place to stay. I wrote down this place that you stayed incase I want to try it too, but I bookmarked that website as well for future reference. Thanks again for the video and keep up the good work. I’m subscribed.
Hey Peter thanks for subscribing! Glad you found the video helpful. I shot another one on my morning walk around the neighborhood that I will post soon.
Great video. I plan to visit Vietnam in my country in the future and I believe it's going to be fun. You've just earned a new subscriber. Greetings from Croatia!
Will be visiting Ho Chi Minh for the 1st time in a month, preferably D1. What would be your recommendation. Things to consider: Safety first; Location; Price. i would love to pay no more than 45 per night.
So start in D1 and look for a place on Agoda for about 30 bucks like the one in the video. There are a handful of choices at that price range. D7 offers better value for the money and it's about a 15 minute ride away from downtown. If you want the clean, safe neighborhood go to D2 Thao Dien, the expat district where it's fairly gentrified. City House, Sonata Residence is popular with westerners (about $22/night in D7). I just now checked Agoda and Cozrum Homes had 4 listings in D1 for less than $20/night next week. Those would be about the same experience as the apartment in the video. If you're looking to go out to the girl bars, stop by my friend's place Kim's Tavern in D1. Saigon is a fun place, you can pack high expectations.
@@FollowBrando will definitely check into this. I had booked a hotel with Agoda but cancelled it because of bad reviews. Yes, it was very cheap, but I didn't want to arrive there, only to find out my room wasn't reserved. There were some horrible reviews!! 22$ a night sounds amazing in D7, my only question with that is, how's the action or not over there? Will definitely visit Kim's Tavern.
@@kamkam7066 I was just there again at the same place in D1 for $20/night. There's a self check-in that you need to stay up on (you have to send your travel docs through the app or via whatsapp text to get your key code). Other than that the place is a great apartment in a quiet alley a 5 minute walk from Bui Vien street (if you want action). I left to go and stay at a 5-star Marriott property but at the Cozrum homes place I had a small kitchenette and a grocery store down the block and could cook for myself.

Excellent. I look forward to it! Cheers.
This is a very useful video! It's nice to see the options that exist out there to stay in. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching. Look out for a similar video I will post within the next week about a $30/night experience in Bangkok in an aging luxury hotel.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and expertise in traveling. I truly appreciate your critical analysis. 😀
