  • After 22 years it was definitely time to replace the fuel filter on this 1.4 16v 75HP AUA engine. Especially since the car was not used for 8 years.
Since the fuel filter was already disconnected, I have used this opportunity to drain the old petrol out, so that only the fresh petrol will be in the fuel tank.

So many people watched it, but so little liked it. Why? It's helpful, then why not give a like?

Great tutorial Mtl. Interesting thing is, the arrow on my new fuel filter, was the other way around. So the perforated bottom & flat surface, was hooked to the bent fuel line side, that's close to the engine.
Is it possible my fuel filter had wrong direction on it? Cheers

Sadly I do not know. Which manufacturer is the fuel filter?

@MtlCarGarage It says Bosch on it, but its was a tenner, so might be a chinese copy? Looks oem, but not sure.

I've checked and it's the one you've left in the description, so it's Bosch, just for some reason the design is different, but as long as the arrow is facing the correct way, it'd be good. Cheers

I hope it will be ok. That is why I buy filters, etc. only from reputable sellers. It is not good to have a new copy filter that does not filter the fuel ;).

@MtlCarGarage Very true lol, so I've checked other websites to be sure, and they all have the same design and arrow pattern for this Bosch, all the serial numbers match too, so just looks like their shell is designed differently than the factory ones. Cheers
