This video is about the nonprofit called The Place of Purpose. The major news that we are going to announce today is that we are no longer just for those with Friedrichs ataxia. We are now excepting those with all physical disabilities. We also talk about a few other questions that we have had from others concerning the services offered and an overall function of the facility.

I was diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia in 1994 at the age of 12.
Friedreich's ataxia is an inherited disorder that affects some of the body's nerves. It is caused by a gene defect that is inherited from both parents. Symptoms generally start between 5 and 20 years of age and can include trouble walking, fatigue, changes in sensation, and slowed speech.
