Thank you all for the support as always and I really hope ya'll enjoy it! Legends has rocketed up to being one of my favorite games so I'm very curious to hear all of your thoughts about it :)
You deserve more subs. this was edited well and has good research, even as an odd side thing, this was entertaining. Since it's long too, great second monitor content ;)
I never got to play the second game but the first game is one of the biggest inspirations in the designs in my games. When I played it as a child I thought: "wow video games are amazing and so flushed out" I've been disappointed ever since.
Did anyone else as a kid spend hours kicking the can into the spaces behind the bakery counters in Apple Market to get the little zenny reward for cleaning up litter? Wasn't an efficient grind, but it was so engaging for little kid me to do.
Dear TransWitchReviews (or maybe MidWitchReviews after watching this), I came to this Mega Man video with my heart full of hope. However I did not see one Megaman.EXE nor Megaman Star Force. I am sad. You did this. You did this to me. And now I am sad. Mega Man and all of the games in the series are perfect. There is no room for criticism of perfection. I am sad.
I wanted to come back and say that there was a secret with the can. If you kicked it into the bakery enough times, your armor would steadily get darker and darker. At max darkness it gave you increased defense, but would degrade over a long time. A normal playthrough would involve doing it once fully and then just kicking it in occasionally in passing.
Having begun watching Gundam in release order recently I can say the Bonne Siblings theme also evokes "Tobe! Gundam!" the first theme. And god, the vocal themes hit me right in the Digimon Nostalgia dick. And yeah, the Ghibli antagonist layering of Goofy but Loveable Antagonist that Might Help and The True Fucking Evil is always neat. Good Job on the new vid, always love to see your work.
This series reminds me of Square's Musashi series. The first one takes place in a small area where you're given so much time diving into the world, its locations, its mythology and its people that you're sucked in and immersed in such a way that it begins to feel like home; whereas the second one is bigger, has more locations and larger scope, but loses the charm and overall immersion in favor of simply being bigger. The sequel to this (and to Musashi) aren't bad per se, but it's just not as charming or interesting.
I'm so glad you covered this game! As for games that bring me a sense of camaraderie and wanting to see more/revisit them I'd say Tomba! 1 and Suikoden 1 & 2. If you're interested in the latter they are being remastered and retranslated for a Q1 release in 2024. I love Suikoden 1 to death but it had a horrendous translation and the updated graphics will be a great improvement.
I'm glad to have covered it too! Been meaning to get around to this one forever but just hadn't for whatever reason! Tomba 1 seems really great I really gotta try that out sometime! Suikoden has been on my list forever but the translations and bugs have always been a bit off-putting so I'm hopeful the new remasters will be a good way to finally play them through too! Maaaay cover them finally whenever I get around to them but we shall see!
Hell yeah! This game looks like a vibe and a half. I think you nailed it on the head with the Agito pilled line this game seems so in line with Heisei rider in general. Also yeah yall keeps eyes on this space, next year cool stuff should be happening.
I just got back a PS3 and I did buy/download this game! Going for Legends 2 next week after a paycheck. strange how i find the PS3 better than my PS5...
If you like how the NPCs evolve over the course of the game (which is great, love it) you might enjoy Monster Hunter for that same reason. Presuming you've never played one.
I actually have and I defo get whatcha mean! MH games are really good at making the hubs feel lived in and populated by people who are just doin their things. World was pretty solid at that but I dig the atmosphere and the vibes of the older games a little more personally!
Idk about lightning returns - I wouldn't put it on the same caliber as the many amazing games you mentioned. the ff13 trilogy was trash. You'll love breath of fire though, that series has some great characters and fun gameplay; man I want a new one so bad.
I think it's pretty cool but ayyy to each their own! Yeah Breath of Fire has always seemed really cool, 3 and 4 especially seem dope as fuck! Excited to get around to them sometime!!!

YEP... for the darkest mega man... for reasons.

I assume Tron Bonnes theme is a nod to oldschool anime/tokusatsu openings in general rather than a specific video.
Yeah that's fair! Mainly just the one it reminded me of the most but that honestly makes sense too!
I wanted to come back and say that there was a secret with the can. If you kicked it into the bakery enough times, your armor would steadily get darker and darker. I think you could also get the black armor for doing negative deeds and stuff. A sort of morality system?
You''ll never know the heart break of Mega Man Legends 3 being canned.
A fantastic video thank you
Quite possibly my favorite game ever made. This video is beautiful and this channel seriously needs more views and subs.
Thank you! That really means a lot and I'm happy ya dug the video! Definitely the same on the favorites list this game is magnificent!

Thank you! Yeah those vocal themes did give me some kinda digimonish vibes too!
Sammy coming back with the REAL REAL HEAT 🔥🔥🔥
Thank ya! :3
Legends 1 is my favourite game of all time. I'm waiting for Capcom to give us more of that world for years.
played this one with my dad. iirc the final upgrade for the missiles was insanely expensive but gave you infinite ammo.
Another certified classic. Never been super into megaman but will happily hear you wax lyrical about it for the next hour!
Thank you! That really means a ton :)

same boat man, and as a kid knowing that the va for rock was Canadian like me in the first one, I loved it.

I used to listen to another sun a ton and even downloaded it on my psp
