EXO is the King Of Kpop because EXO shaped the 3rd generation and paved the way for the 4th generation. Without them, y'all wouldn't know about BTS. BTS is just adding the popularity more by paving the way through the American market. But its true, BTS and BP is really the top kpop idol group right now. Honestly exols are very loyal and i feel like even in 2025 major amount of the exols will be there , maybe some might leave but a huge amout of exols will remain and thats cause exo and exols have gone through so much difficulties together . This made us exols alot stronger and as we have seen exo go through difficult times and been there with them at those times , we are alot more loyal and the affection we have for them can never didsapear . On top of that sm has always made us wait for exo by not giving them enough promotions , interviews , variety show appeareances , vlives or much content in total . So we exols already are use to waiting and we will wait happily till the day exo are together as one . Till then we are gonna support the individual activities of all the members and whatever content we get from the exo members whether they are solo albums or sub units , etc. Exo and exols are one and even when they get old and even i become a granma , i can see myself telling stories about them to my grandkids and even then i will be stanning them .

actually exo recieved awards in korea higher than the daesang which is the prime minister award that is the highest(I think i've read it somewhere) plus the Cultural...Award( i don't know the full name) which is the second highest.
I feel like a lot of EXO-Ls are still going to wait for them to be together even if it's in 2025. It's because EXO and EXO-Ls have gone through a lot of hardships. All the pains from the past only made the bond and love much stronger now. It doesn't matter how much longer we have to wait. We will be happy to wait, because we love them, and they are worth the wait.
Nowadays those award shows don't mean anything... They have lost their "prestigious" Position after what MAMA did in 2017...even before that there was speculation that Award shows are mistreating some artists but it wasn't clear.... But what MAMA did with EXO in 2017 throughout the night in front of everyone was a slap across everyone's face and that is the reason why SM stopped sending any of their artists to award shows and YG too did that a year before SM... And Mnet (MAMA) they were considered as the best award show but turned out to be snake.. If those award shows were honest and would've respect idols, EXO could've won many more awards and we would've more EXO content.. Now those award shows are just boring when the powerhouses SM and YG artists are not attending

Honestly I believe what makes all of these awards and records even more impressive is the fact that they were obtained not on an kpop era like today , where literally kpop is everywhere and is known widely on international countries. Kpop at that time was barely known internationally, the promotion of kpop was not what it is today, as well as the social media , but they still managed to get all that, for me THAT'S THE REAL DEAL . And the fact they continue to be present even when they are on hiatus just proves EXO's importance in the kpop industry whether some want to admit or not

~EXO has marked the standards in kpop. They've broken many records and always achieve an unbelievable record with every album. Even though sometimes they might not surpass some groups but they always surpass their own records and that's what makes them great. Also, these are just a handful of their achievements, there's a long way to go. They are also really humble towards other groups. Personally, EXO is one of the only group which hasn't produce a bad song and they really surpass your expectations. They never disappoint. They have one of the most unique concept and they can do almost every genre of music. Even their debut songs still gives off a new feel and never gets old. I'm just thankful that I got to know EXO. Imagine EXO being called “the waste of sm”, “flop group”, etc. And having their first ever fan meeting with only 18 attendees, promoting their own group in the streets, 3 chinese member left, dating issues, receiving many hates. But, look at them now being the “ KPOP KINGS”, “LEGENDS”, “NATION’S PICK”, “IDOLS OF IDOLS”, “THE BEST 3RD GEN KPOP GROUP”, “VOCAL KINGS”, “TRENDSETTERS”, “KPOP PHENOMENON”, and many more. They deserve all of it. Yes EXO did all of that. KINGS behavior.
Actually all those records felt very special because they broke all the old legends' records significantly without intendency to break it, like the starting point of people recognizing how big K-Pop in that year, especially 2013, which amazingly just a year after they debuted. So, all idols now trying to beat EXO's record that has became the standard. Even though the others already beat EXO's records, EXO is still set as standard in Korea. That's why nowadays I don't feel any surprised when a group selling over million albums or making big concerts or youtube views. EXO will still remain as K-pop legends in my heart.
it just so happened they didn't concentrate in the US, for promotions but still becoz of their music, vocals, visuals and dancing people around the world loved them and sought their music even though most of their songs are in korean.
*Fun fact:* •EXO was nominated in EMA 2013 and won the Best Korean Act only a year after their debut •EXO also compete with One Direction and Justin Bieber before (can’t remember the year, i think it was 2013 or 2014) when the internet wasn’t that available to everyone unlike now. This is the reason why EXO is such a legendary group. They was once called a “failure” after debut hence had hiatus for around a year and comeback stronger, and that’s when they started their legend. A year after debut they already beat and created a lot of new records, becoming a trendsetter. And on top of this, a year after debut they’re always and stay at the top, the thing not every kpop group can do. Imagine for 8 years they stay on their lane and still topping. It’s EXO as expected. I am really proud of them, although they are now on hiatus as a group but their song never get old.. it is like song of legend for me.. when the song realeased in 2012, 2013 but i think i will never getting bored listening to them may be for the next 10, 20 years later. I really get the part when he said ofc its 2025 and a new generation of kpop or fans will come in. Thats why our leader, Suho, always says that even though theres a new kpop group whose popular than them, well you know exo is exo. Exo has this thing that no group can imitate. They are the trendsetters. They may not have breakthrough WW bc of less promotions but still theyre the one who was first to do smth that no group did. And we as fans ofc were reaching middle 20’s or 30’s will always be there to support them at all cost. I mean even though were not breaking records or stuffs anymore. Exo has lots of awards now so we will just support there solo careers or the careers they want to pursue even if its acting or something elexe. However Exo themselves doesn’t place too much value on that awards. They always state that their happiness is in promoting as an exo members and being able to continue performing as a group. Im a fan of kpop since 2009(a vip and sone) and actually physical copies is not much big deal to them and us bcoz we're just busy hyping and cheering for our idols songs.. but when exo did it and revived the physical sales of sokor it became a big deal and other idols and idols fanbases are also keeping up to beat their records. And from that we can't literally deny the exo impact for their music industry or kpop in general.

Even they're not the most popular artist right now, but for me their live performance is always no 1 because of their vocals and their charisma on the stage. Even NCT the younger brother of Exo (under sm management) already broke the most pre-order album sales in SM. But those 2013-2017 exo is really the top BG and as an exo L I cherish that moment. exo's popularity is rising even in hiatus. Many fans from other countries are discovering exo and their performances and music is not getting old. It has more nuances than just feel good songs. They are also exploring their individual strengths and careers which can't be said of other groups. When they get back together they will be even better and will bring more exciting elements because of the experiences they learned in their individual careers.

EXO is the King Of Kpop because EXO shaped the 3rd generation and paved the way for the 4th generation. Without them, y'all wouldn't know about BTS. BTS is just adding the popularity more by paving the way through the American market. But its true, BTS and BP is really the top kpop idol group right now. Honestly exols are very loyal and i feel like even in 2025 major amount of the exols will be there , maybe some might leave but a huge amout of exols will remain and thats cause exo and exols have gone through so much difficulties together . This made us exols alot stronger and as we have seen exo go through difficult times and been there with them at those times , we are alot more loyal and the affection we have for them can never didsapear . On top of that sm has always made us wait for exo by not giving them enough promotions , interviews , variety show appeareances , vlives or much content in total . So we exols already are use to waiting and we will wait happily till the day exo are together as one . Till then we are gonna support the individual activities of all the members and whatever content we get from the exo members whether they are solo albums or sub units , etc. Exo and exols are one and even when they get old and even i become a granma , i can see myself telling stories about them to my grandkids and even then i will be stanning them .

I feel like a lot of EXO-Ls are still going to wait for them to be together even if it's in 2025. It's because EXO and EXO-Ls have gone through a lot of hardships. All the pains from the past only made the bond and love much stronger now. It doesn't matter how much longer we have to wait. We will be happy to wait, because we love them, and they are worth the wait.
Nowadays those award shows don't mean anything... They have lost their "prestigious" Position after what MAMA did in 2017...even before that there was speculation that Award shows are mistreating some artists but it wasn't clear.... But what MAMA did with EXO in 2017 throughout the night in front of everyone was a slap across everyone's face and that is the reason why SM stopped sending any of their artists to award shows and YG too did that a year before SM... And Mnet (MAMA) they were considered as the best award show but turned out to be snake..
If those award shows were honest and would've respect idols, EXO could've won many more awards and we would've more EXO content.. Now those award shows are just boring when the powerhouses SM and YG artists are not attending

Honestly I believe what makes all of these awards and records even more impressive is the fact that they were obtained not on an kpop era like today , where literally kpop is everywhere and is known widely on international countries. Kpop at that time was barely known internationally, the promotion of kpop was not what it is today, as well as the social media , but they still managed to get all that, for me THAT'S THE REAL DEAL . And the fact they continue to be present even when they are on hiatus just proves EXO's importance in the kpop industry whether some want to admit or not

~EXO has marked the standards in kpop. They've broken many records and always achieve an unbelievable record with every album. Even though sometimes they might not surpass some groups but they always surpass their own records and that's what makes them great. Also, these are just a handful of their achievements, there's a long way to go.
They are also really humble towards other groups. Personally, EXO is one of the only group which hasn't produce a bad song and they really surpass your expectations. They never disappoint. They have one of the most unique concept and they can do almost every genre of music. Even their debut songs still gives off a new feel and never gets old.
I'm just thankful that I got to know EXO.

Imagine EXO being called “the waste of sm”, “flop group”, etc. And having their first ever fan meeting with only 18 attendees, promoting their own group in the streets, 3 chinese member left, dating issues, receiving many hates. But, look at them now being the “ KPOP KINGS”, “LEGENDS”, “NATION’S PICK”, “IDOLS OF IDOLS”, “THE BEST 3RD GEN KPOP GROUP”, “VOCAL KINGS”, “TRENDSETTERS”, “KPOP PHENOMENON”, and many more. They deserve all of it. Yes EXO did all of that. KINGS behavior.
Actually all those records felt very special because they broke all the old legends' records significantly without intendency to break it, like the starting point of people recognizing how big K-Pop in that year, especially 2013, which amazingly just a year after they debuted. So, all idols now trying to beat EXO's record that has became the standard. Even though the others already beat EXO's records, EXO is still set as standard in Korea. That's why nowadays I don't feel any surprised when a group selling over million albums or making big concerts or youtube views. EXO will still remain as K-pop legends in my heart.
it just so happened they didn't concentrate in the US, for promotions but still becoz of their music, vocals, visuals and dancing people around the world loved them and sought their music even though most of their songs are in korean.

•EXO also compete with One Direction and Justin Bieber before (can’t remember the year, i think it was 2013 or 2014) when the internet wasn’t that available to everyone unlike now.
This is the reason why EXO is such a legendary group. They was once called a “failure” after debut hence had hiatus for around a year and comeback stronger, and that’s when they started their legend. A year after debut they already beat and created a lot of new records, becoming a trendsetter. And on top of this, a year after debut they’re always and stay at the top, the thing not every kpop group can do. Imagine for 8 years they stay on their lane and still topping. It’s EXO as expected. I love them so much. Can’t wait for 2025 OT9 comeback.

I am really proud of them, although they are now on hiatus as a group but their song never get old.. it is like song of legend for me.. when the song realeased in 2012, 2013 but i think i will never getting bored listening to them may be for the next 10, 20 years later. I really get the part when he said ofc its 2025 and a new generation of kpop or fans will come in. Thats why our leader, Suho, always says that even though theres a new kpop group whose popular than them, well you know exo is exo. Exo has this thing that no group can imitate. They are the trendsetters. They may not have breakthrough WW bc of less promotions but still theyre the one who was first to do smth that no group did.
And we as fans ofc were reaching middle 20’s or 30’s will always be there to support them at all cost. I mean even though were not breaking records or stuffs anymore. Exo has lots of awards now so we will just support there solo careers or the careers they want to pursue even if its acting or something elexe. I mean with the situation with Lay Zhang as a new ceo of his entertainment, its seems impossible to have an OT9 right? And with Chen having a family? The family of exol and exo had been through enough troubles for the past years. And waiting until 2025 is a piece of cake.

Im a fan of kpop since 2009(a vip and sone) and actually physical copies is not much big deal to them and us bcoz we're just busy hyping and cheering for our idols songs.. but when exo did it and revived the physical sales of sokor it became a big deal and other idols and idols fanbases are also keeping up to beat their records. And from that we can't literally deny the exo impact for their music industry or kpop in general.

bts got higest selling because , exo members started enlisting so its officialy exo is on hold.. so each member focusing on solo career... eventually baekyun solo album delight,, he became million seller soloist of the year record... even other members reaching the goal in solo career... most of the idols from other group, even mentioned about exols that without exols award show doesnot even look like one.. because exols use to encourage other groups also, while they receiving the award..
They got best selling ablum 4th quarter of the year.... And also their individual records too.... I meant Exo ... They are still breaking records..

Even they're not the most popular artist right now, but for me their live performance is always no 1 because of their vocals and their charisma on the stage.
Their records already broke by other artists these days. Like you said, bts now is the best selling artist in SK. Even NCT the younger brother of Exo (under sm management) already broke the most pre-order album sales in SM.
