The fire hasn't had the same warmth since Dan left.. he has such a positive attitude and he was so good at turning jays blue attitude around. Bobby is too much like Jay. They don't volly back and forth forever over the simplest topics like Dan and Jay
Yeah it's definitely a different vibe. I think it's because Bobby comes off as the older mean brother who's seen it all already when Dan is more like a starry eyed stoner bro who has high hopes. I'm also the same age as Dan so I relate to him way more, he's the cool twin brother I never had.
I love that it’s called “racist Clint Eastwood” when it could just be called Clint Eastwood. Dan taking credit for creating the character in Gran Torino
I love how they used the Police Academy theme song for Dan's Voice Academy. I'm proud to say I just made my kids watch all of the police academy movies and they now know who Michael Winslow is and respect him accordingly. Shout out to Steve Guttenburg and the hot chick cop 😂
Dan is the finest voicestrmentalist of our time. Full stop. BUT it was a jay impression that first made me fall in love with the bonfire. Fingerless kings of comedy will forever hold a special place in my heart because of this.
Miss Dan like a mf. Love Bobby Kelly too but rather than volley back and forth with Jay (like Dan did) he just takes every story and makes it into “dude I was hookin up with these two girls one night….”
Fucking brutal. In my experience, those who have a natural gift for hitting notes, melodies, harmonies, those who can sing quite well, tend to do well with impersonations and accents (and vice versa), but speaking more than a few words, or one or two short phrases, takes practice and study, unless it’s an accent or person you grew up hearing. Soder is incredibly talented, with voices, and you can tell that his success with some of these is from more than just a knack for it; he understands, has learned probably from years of fucking around, and maybe directly from some other veteran of the craft, these distinct facets of a voice/accent, e.g. tone, rhythm, cadence, energy levels et cetera, critical to really nailing the nuances to any given accent/impersonation that separate “good” and even “pretty damn good,” from “holy shit, it’s like I’m listening to the real person,” pro level shit. Very impressive. I’ve always had a knack for accents, language and impersonations but only the most basic, passing level shit, short phrases mainly; I’ve never practiced or put any work into any of it. But it’s clear that just getting one specific word down pat particular to some well known character, and a couple other details like cadence and tone, is a kind of hack that makes that impersonation instantly recognizable by anyone who is familiar with that individual/accent/character; like where Soder points out a word habitually used in conversation by Schwarzenegger (“of course”), and how it sounds which is particular to that man which virtually every human will recognize as Arnold; getting JUST that 2 word filler down and using it often can help carry the whole of the impression which might be lacking. Or when he describes the nuances of Macho Man’s very emphatic and distinct manner of speech. All one has to do to fool/impress your average joe/sephine of Macho Man or Arnold, meaning the least amount of effort/skill, is to simply pay attention to those few details from Soder and copy them immediately before your brain forgets and the rest, which will initially be ‘meh’ at best will be carried by those little deets
Jay needed Dan, all Bobby does is bounce back everything Jay does. Even in his final moments Dan puts more warmth and fun into the show that Bobby will ever
Lmfao and all this time I thought his humiliation ritual was telling people that he's the producer of the bonfire and people are like huh ??? What's that? God bless Jacob. He's the best
I remember every time he actually made it to one it was big news the next day. He rambled, talked shit, hyped himself up, told nonsensical stories. Basically a front row seat to an A list millionaire spiraling. In retrospect I wish I’d followed the tour like people do with Springsteen.
Turns out, nobody really does voices anymore. And they needed to make Bob funny. This show ended when Dan left. I have known Bobby since the Opie and Anthony days. He has his moments, but they're far between. But still a better pick than Joe D.
Nothing but the hits
Thank you for your service sir. Your work is in my ears during my service bar shifts making drinks for 600+ people on the weekend.
Sucks it took Dan leaving for them to do this hilarious bit 😂

Jacob sounds like he used to voice piglet in Winnie the Pooh
“… humiliating…”
I wonder how much Dan is responsible for Shane being a good impressionist.
I love that it’s called “racist Clint Eastwood” when it could just be called Clint Eastwood. Dan taking credit for creating the character in Gran Torino
Anytime I have a rough day or just feel down I’ll play this and it brings my frown all the way upside down 😂
I love whenever Jacob starts panicking during an improv he just starts complimenting the other men's looks
I just discovered the bonfire this year and it's become my favourite thing to listen to.
Welcome fellow crackler
After Dan left. It really went down hill in my opinion
@@buddyredeyes Would've been impossible for it not too, he's one of the funniest dudes in the world

Michael Winslow is a talent almost unrecognized in modern culture. He deserves better.
@@Dick_Dastardly4_7 the kids already knew who he was I forgot he's in Spaceballs, too. "We got the beeps, the sweeps and the creeps."
ALL? Downvote.
Shout outs to Tackleberry
The show is great to listen to. Those two had a chemistry. Soder is the man

Black Lou's Dangerfield impression sent me lmao. "I'm 37, OHHH!" 🤣😅😂
This is like watching a feinting goat race. I love it
This is one of the best right alongside the Chet Hanks ep or Mraz.
Feldog eps are some of the best

Jacob sounds like Michael Cera for each impression 😂
Def doesn't
Up during the Arnold Schwarzenegger impression he sounded like an old Jewish guy😂
20 min in best bonefire episode ever!
Racist Clint Eastwood: My property is full of slopes. I'm hiring a bulldozer to flatten the dirt so it's level. I want to pit in a tennis court.
