A Farmer P tractor would be a massive PR for Massey Ferguson of course. I can very well understand that they made you an offer that you cannot refuse, maybe ... 🙂.
Farmer P, Thinking Massey’s loyalty towards you is impressive, bang! Straight in with good trade in price and great deal for you on a new tractor, with five years of service and warranty! Well done Chandlers! That in my eyes is how communication with people works, not give one price then go back with another price, that tells me,someone is trying it on! Nothing can beat the comfort a animal can give people, sad, people can’t be the same, great to hear you looking out for funky Farmer 👍 and yes that heat was a nightmare 😅 making gates in 38 degrees, not funny.
I agree with you 100%, when it's hot it's hot in Canada it was 40 above outside and last week was almost 43 above it was blistering hot excuse my language for any people that are out there
I can't imagine a hot weather day off lol. I'm also in FL USA where it's 95f plus humidity makes it feel 105 to 110 and that's just summer lol. I'd definitely want cold weather day though lol
Can't understand why other commercial companies haven't offered you any demo tractors, Fendt and JCB for example, you are a prime candidate for their products, with a TH-cam channel to showcase their wares, surprised others haven't jumped on the band wagon by now. Don't make a hasty decision, weigh up all the pros and cons, you're a sensible gentleman with many years experience in your field of expertise, you know what you'd like, hopefully someone will meet your expectations, good luck......
Ian, it's a no brainer, you gotta go with the Massey! 5 year warranty, interest free credit and fixed service plan!. Best of luck with whatever you go with though!
The 5S looks a proper stock tractor with excellent vision for loader operation but you’re the man that’s got to both live with it and pay for it so you’re the only person that matters 👍 good luck 👍
farmer p stay cool in the heat over in West Country of United Kingdom🇬🇧and from fan in Australia 🇦🇺 steve foster and good luck farmer P on getting new tractor when can afford it
Nice to see I am not the only man ( Father) that has tool gremlins , its when i visit the kids houses and spot my missing tools or find them in random places
Massey for the win 💪😁 it will hold its value too. The loader is a must and perhaps a wider set of tyres depending on your land. Air suspension and brakes if it’s an option
Getting itches scratched in areas you can't reach is bliss. You are very perceptive sir. I won't say you treat your cows like pets, but you know how to keep them content and respect they are revenue.
Ay up farmer P. Russ from hillam. North Yorkshire. A HGV DRIVER. YOUR VIDEOS are a great. LOOKS LIKE MASSEY ARE GIVING YOU THAT TRACTOR. WELL DONE CHANDLERS. It great to see the dealers are listening to the farmers. All the best Russ.
For all numbers that in the end are on the total price - the fixed cost service contract plus interest-free loan are GOLD. I'm not sure people understand why this is such a big deal. For farmers, that need to plan years in advance, this is just (as you said) perfect, because you have fixed expenses for the machine that (hopefully) makes you money. Congrats on the deal. People said in the beginning that you "should just discard them because Phil didnt ring you in a week about the test tractor" - but thats not true. He did care, and so does Chandlers. Otherwise, they wouldnt have offered you this deal. I'm quite certain you can wiggle a loader into the equation eventually. Good Luck, Ian.
30 c lovely it is only 8c here Ian, I live in Maffra ,Victoria, Australia. It looks like the Massey Ferguson, Chandlers is giving a very good deal, it will be interesting to see how the other dealers can do for you, Ian. I am a retired Dairy Farmer, truck driver I spent 1 year in America and England ,Ireland and Scotland when I was in my 20's I am now 70+. I drove School buses and also route work in Melbourne. I have sent you a email showing a map of Victoria where I live . Have a good day mate
Sounds like a good deal. Comes down to dealer back up. The 5 yr warranty is a must. Best visibility by far too. Not biased at all.😆. You can find tune the hydraulics and trans yourself to.
Good evening Mr. P. for someone who said they were running out of things to video I think you did an excellent job today. Definitely seems it's not just the weather that is hotting up with the numbers coming in on the tractor front. Pity you can't bottle the cow scratching I think you could make a fortune. Great idea with the window. Keep well and stay safe.
Good evening Ian, it looks as if you may be getting some we’re with getting a new tractor, When I worked on the Diary farm at Eastern Agricultural college we had a cow 🐮 called snowy as she was White I could walk with my arm round her neck and she loved it with a bit of scratching, Well hope you get on ok 👌 just look after yourself and stay safe and and well,🐂🐂🚜⭐️⭐️
I step out of my normal brand and bought a very nice low hour 4610 Massey with a loader open station and paid at least 20k less then a Case IH or Deere in my area !!!
Hi Ian. Great video as usual. I totally get it from your point and I totally get it from all the tractor dealers points as it is just business but can’t help finding that it not so much about trying to look after a farmer but just how much publicity they can get from your TH-cam association. I know Dam well if I walked in to any of there dealerships they would not even look up from there desk ……let alone come out to the farm with sales manager as well ☹️ As I say it’s the way business goes 🙄 👍👍👍
Hi Ian it’s Neil from down yer near Salcombe , I just wanted to drop you a line to say since subscribing to your channel I really look forward to to your vids, I live alone with Robert my hairbrained Jack R and I usually can’t wait to flick on hoping you’ve uploaded another for me to watch, I love the relationship you got with your animals and it shows the way they reward you, I used to work on a farm many years ago and I miss it still now but times moved on and I had to also , but anyway keep up the good work matey , oh and by the way the Massey looks pretty , take care regards to you and yours. Neil In south Devon
I have a couple of cow's that love scratches, one in particular will walk up to me when i go to bring them for milking and will refuse to move another step until she gets a proper scratch behind the ears! :) The five year interest free loan, five year warranty, and fixed cost servicing is quite a package, interesting times.
Hello Farmer P 😊. What a lucky cow, she was in 7th Heaven 🐃😇. You weren't far off either 😆. I agree it is therapeutic for both animal and human. I give my dogs a daily back massage. They love it and I enjoy their reaction. Just wish I could train them to massage my back 😏😀. So the red is ahead, at present. Will be interesting to see the end result. Good call, re the Tree Team, Farmer P. Working in that heat is dangerous. Keep some tonic water (as in gin and tonic, but without the gin) handy in case any of you suffer from heat stroke. It has Quinine in it which relieves the dizziness very quickly. You are no sissy because you can't handle high Temps. There are plenty of us in Africa that can't handle Temps over 27°C and at the other end of the scale we freeze at anything under 14°C and oh boy do we whinge about it 😀. Super video, Farmer P. Take care and hug for Biskit 🤗 🐶 ❤️
Too all the people saying neg down the price more I say this, Chandlers have done Farmer P a massive does of respect by giving him everything he has asked for, they listened and have delivered, I dont think a lower price is needed, sometimes you need to pay for the respect that has been offered. also to the people saying Chandlers need to reconfigure the tractor more to suit and so on thats not really needed, when Farmer P buys the tractor he will read the owners manual and it will detail how to configure it the way he wants it. IMO just buy the Massey but I understand how the TH-cam game needs to be played.
Up under the seat in your car there are a few exposed thin things you can attach tape measureses onto so that nobody will know they are there and you will always have precious with you. Handy with the styro, you definitely want to put a second hose onto that portable aircon to intake air from outside as well. You can simply get a cardboard box big enough to cover the area of the lower intake on the back and cut it to fit the curves then attach the second hose to it. Absolute best advice I can give is to then mount the aircon up on a table over by the window so that the upper drain on the back is high enough to run downhill out the window. Use a tap hook-up hose (to attach reels to spouts) as the drain hose so you can use it for other things as needed. Without the second hose that aircon is going to eat its own baby, with it it'll be a blessing.
Good video Ian, 👍 some food for thought with the prices coming in £££ always remember that there will probably be some room for negotiation with all of the dealers in their quest for a sale 👍 you know my occupation an unfortunately we couldn't get days of because of heat🌞🌞🌞🥵🥵 lookin forward to seein the Case 😁👍
Great video Mr P, Massey really lookin after you, And yes animals are very therapeutic. Massey have really put up to the others, but I suspect you6 go case.
Most interesting, as always Ian, I thought the NH would be the deal. I love it in the winter when our cattle are in the barn, just watching them is always a treat. We are leaving a 5 bed farmhouse after 30 years, and the chattels we have acquired in that time will not fit in a 3 bed bungalow. Take care.
The 5 year warranty is a big thing to think about. These modern tractors are all very well, but from what I hear, when things do go wrong they can go very expensively wrong. They often can only be fixed by the dealer, at dealer rates, so the long warranty is essential.
Your reason for changing is comfort, Massey has the front suspension where NH doesn’t. Tyre choice makes a big difference in comfort. I put a 65 on front with a 70 on back, made a big difference over standard Michelins. Trelleborg don’t last on loader tractor, went through a front set in 900hrs, original michelin done 3700hrs
I do like the t5, my mate bought one a month ago he can't find a fault wrong, 15 ton grain trailer, 5 furrow reversible, I would say a claas arion 460 140hp pulls like a train, plus the fridge is a bonus
So now the OSR has been harvested will you be adding a heavy layer of the mucky wood chips, wood chips or your dirt compost over the field to be turned into the sandy dirt to help hold the moisture better and make better quality dirt in the fields
Massey gave you some good numbers but I think you could knock them down a bit more if you tried 😉, I tried scratching the back end of my cow and she turned round and slapped me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes Mr P I go for warrantee and maintenance and see what the cost if they give you a deal if they can extend it life of tractor because I know lots of things brack down we can’t afford motor work and transmission work and Labor cost just like our cars to

If Massey are way out in front with their figures then this is a specific deal just for you and no one else would ever get the same deal so fair play. Around here, Case & New Holland are thousands cheaper. Only thing that I hate about the Massey’s is their crap adblue system. Drive you up the wall. You know it’s not anywhere near the standard of a Case/NH with their links to Iveco.
Clever move with the insulation, 👍💯👍

Marley is sharpening his pencils right about now
Sounds like it's 'Game On' regards the new tractor. Time for NH and Case to put together a better package for your custom.
You be careful that you don't burn that curtain with the hose is when that hose gets hot look out that's how that's what causes fires
we had some rain to day well not a poor down but a drizzle and it did cool down lovely

You know it’s not anywhere near the standard of a Case/NH with their links to Iveco.
Buy the massey you won't regret it,we have run them for years and keep them for a long time and never much bother
sounds like a new shirt logo
