People find it hard to believe others love them when they don't love themselves. Edit: Just wanted to add something. When a person sees all these flaws about themselves it's hard to believe others when they say they don't see them. Basically like how how can you not see all this fat? Or how can you not see how ugly I am? How can you love me with all this mess.The flaws we see, seem to become worse and more noticeable in our eyes. Making us ask Why do you love me? This is how I express it, I'm not the right answer and not everyone will feel the same.

I think that when people ask that question it's more about "why do you choose me". Because feelings change y'know but people still stay together because they choose each other over other things. Just how sometimes even if we love someone we choose not to be with that person for many different reasons like the person being toxic or our own insecurities. So when two people have a long relationship chances are the feeling of love isn't as strong as it might have been before but they still choose to stay together because it works and makes them feel good. That is what we traditionally also call "love" and what I feel like the question "Why do you love me?" refers to.

It's always hard not to compare yourself with others, especially when we surround ourselves with humans every single day. When you stop and think about your own relationships, you wonder if you're actually good enough, seeing others have all these "good traits" just remind you of your bad ones. It's inevitable to feel not as worthy, but if your S.O or friends are considerate people, they'll try their best to boost your confidence, me personally, it doesn't really work because despite what my partner says, it's hard for his compliments to change my mind. But some people have a confidence bar, and all it needs is a little boost, simply a compliment or a nice gesture to remind them how great they are.

@@JJ-cd3zn that's a difficult one. If he truly loved you, he would apologize after every fight and mean it. He won't change but you give him everything you can. To be honest I think you should leave him and find a better guy. I did. I left my verbally abusive bf for a really kind and loving one. So you should leave him. This isn't me telling you to do it, I'm just trying to advise you on what to do cause if you stay in that relationship, your mental health will start to deteriorate. Hope this helps you. Much like others, I couldn't really pinpoint why I indulge being with the other person. There was just too many positives and cliches. It really wasn't an easy task.
