Recently received a sample of both Mefisto & Mefisto Gentiluomo. Mefisto I really liked, picked up the floral notes right away over the citrus. MG didn't wow me in any way, sadly, so wasn't really my thing. I go towards the more fresh colognes, and with Xerjoff, Renaissance is the only other one I own, but I'll seriously consider picking of a bottle of Mefisto. Thanks for the helpful insight! 👍
I received a sample of Mefisto with the purchase of Roja Scandal. Today, I tried on and the opening was really nice, but two hours later I was smelling Creed SMW without the inky note. Unfortunately, SMW is not something I like. Great review, Steven.

My favorite perfume. I use this fragrance since 2014. I think its reformulated because years ago the performance was more better en it was more citrus which i like more. Do you know sometime about this Steven?

Great review! I love Mefisto Gentiluomo so much - it’s fresh and creamy, very wearable and quite unique. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long and it’s so expensive.

A few years ago I was able to sample this and Mefist Gentiluomo, and, to be honest, I preferred this one due to the dry down being better and longer lasting. Both are great but I ended up getting the OG Mefisto and I am glad I did. This has been a staple for me in Spring and some summer days.
now you glad ended up getting the gentiluomo or the basic 1888 casamorati?
I got the basic Mephisto. I still believe it is the better of the two but that is subjective.

Great review. Silver mountain water is instantly beautiful, but top notes don’t stay very long and has weak performance throughout. Mefisto is almost like an alcohol smell on my skin initially, but it’s almost identical to SMW after a couple of minutes and the opening to mid transition is a lot longer. Definitely happy buying Mefisto blind. Love both frags

Hey! That's a great question! I most often find myself wearing the fragrances in getting ready to review. Aside from that, I think about the occasion, and I also just choose one of the first ones that come to mind. It is a difficult process though! Haha
