I would’ve liked to see all the Knights wield lightsabers, Luke fight the leader, and the Ren not be a lightsaber but rather a god or an ancient dark side warrior of some kind.
Game Theory: Secretly the Rogue One crew captured and tortured to evil with the reveal shocking Leia 🤩 Disney Canon: Just some guys that follow Kylo even when he threw away their treasure 😑
I would have changed the Ren to be some kind of sentient Saber. Instead of changing hands depending on who wins or loses, it would simply go with whoever it liked more. Like the Mjolnir, but more self centered. It'd be neat because we could see incredibly weak force users using the legendary Ren simply because the weapon wanted to give the guy a chance. Again, leaning on themes of justice and what not.
It just prove the writers have no idea what to do with the knights of ren at all even if they explain their origin now it feels to late. As for what said about that lightsaber sounds like one ring but I don’t think that idea wouldn’t work at all just seems a cop out to excuse Kylo actions for false sympathy.
Awesome video, just found the channel, gotta sub, I thought the kylo/ben stuff was underutilized as well. I distinctly remember him saying, out loud “I feel it, the pull of the light” and I liked that he was essentially this inverse Anakin. It implied that Ben was fighting the urge to reject the dark side, and most of Anakin in the prequels was him fighting the urge to reject the light side. Cool. But it never really came to fruition, like you mentioned with the knights of ren.
"Wasted potential" could sum up the entire sequel trilogy. Although it's a deeply flawed film, I still like TFA. At the end of TFA, the story could've gone to so many exciting places. And then....it just....didn't.
....WAT. This makes no sense. Both Jedi and Sith consider lightsabers to essentially be tools and secondary to the Force itself. This is like if there was a guild of mechanics that worshipped a particular wrench and followed whoever used that specific wrench. What the fuck?
In Legends there is a group that is similar to the Knights of Ren called the Blazing Chain but are much more awesome in comparison. The Blazing Chain were a group of Force-sensitive spacers that were navigating the hyperspace routes in the early days of hyperspace travel and a pre-Galactic Republic. The group would then evolve into a group of marauders of Force-users residing in the Unknown Regions where they pillage worlds, taking their technology and amassing a fleet in the hundreds. And here's the real juicy stuff: eventually the Blazing Chain has been active for thousands of years where they are as old as the Old Republic Era and are still active during the time of Sith Lord Exar Kun. Not only that, but the Blazing Chain encounter some of Exar Kun's forces when they were fleeing the Jedi and managed to defeat the weaker Sith and absorb them into their group - turning their group into a massive space fleet made up of 90% of Force-sensitive warriors. They were still active by the time Revan became a Sith Lord and were still active during the Imperial Era. These are the ORIGINAL Knights of Ren!
I agree! There was this build up, and nothing. No lightsabers, no force using throwdown, nada/zip/nothing! They were there to look intimidating, and then get their asses kicked. In other words, they were the Imperial Red Guard, but in black.
A Darkside technique to bind your lifeforce to your lightsaber (like the One Ring) as a trick to live forever is a pretty genius idea. If someone more powerful comes along and kills you, and they keep the Saber (which they have to use it in order to lead the Knights of Ren since they worship it) then eventually your consciousness takes over their body. If you win the fight good that body was weaker, if they win the fight, you eventually get a body upgrade and will be harder to defeat next time. Something similar happens in the game Diablo, to keep Diablo contained in his Soulstone you have to insert it into your head, but this allows him to eventually take over your body and transform into the Demon. At which point someone stronger has to come along and kill his Demon form to make him revert. But when THAT hero inserts the soulstone in his head that just means eventually Diablo will have an even stronger body to wield in the future.
The movies were made for toys. Not for us. Keep that in mind. Disney makes most of their profit from their toys. Thet wanted star wars because lightsabers and helmets. The new movies let them establish new toys.
I literally don’t understand how everything, quite literally almost EVERYTHING outside of the movies is so much more interesting. Why don’t they simply hire whoever writes these comics or novels?

You put it best in the video description.
"Simply wasted potential."

This!!
Not bad.
I am upset that they didn't show us Kylo Stimpy.

It made absolutely no sense, a waste of screen time..... That's Disney, smgdh😅😅😅

I agree! I really enjoyed TFA but the other two…..yeah not so much
I refuse to ever watch the sequels a second time

They had some cool designs but that's about it kinda sad really

The new movies let them establish new toys.
Not defending Disney at all, but bro every Star Wars movie after ESB was made for toys. Why do you think we got Ewoks and Jar Jar?
so basically they might have had a good story but the execution is bad
We are the knights who say Disney.
I literally don’t understand how everything, quite literally almost EVERYTHING outside of the movies is so much more interesting. Why don’t they simply hire whoever writes these comics or novels?
Good video thanks
I thought it was a good idea to show that kylo ren, a lord of the sith, had a black metal band
He was never a Sith but yeah the knights looked cool if nothing else
The Disney trilogy is an uncoordinated mess, there was no plan.
The result is, a terrible sequel trilogy
Wait. Are you dating disney fucked up????
Sequels aren’t Canon
Guy-blo ren is a HORRIBLE CHARACTER. Those movies were TERRIBLE.
