Wouldn't it be great if the *true* Heroes of the pandemic (the medical personnel that take their own lives at risk while caring for Covid patients, and all the other "essential workers" that had no choice but to show up at their jobs or lose their salary) were each given a Tourmaline ring that they could wear, gaze upon, and realize how much of a hero they truly are. These men and women have kept up their responsibilities to their communities with grace and grit. I couldn't be more thankful for them.

hi lydia. i used to obsessively watch your videos (pre covid) but i stopped because these two years have been some of the hardest of my life and i never had motivation to do anything. i started watching your videos a few weeks ago and i've fallen in love with you and your content again. what you said about being your own hero made me cry, i feel the same! i went thru so much shit and i was waiting for people to come and save me but then i realized i can save myself, and that's what i did. i don't think it's cheesy at all and i am so glad u got the ring to celebrate it :)

Definition of hero is someone who makes a contribution to society whilst not putting their needs first. That person demonstrates courage, outstanding achievement or personal sacrifice. What do you contribute to society Lydia? What sacrifice have you made? What courage have you shown? You can't even apologise to people you have mistreated. Heroes are the people who have taken care of us through the pandemic and are largely unsung. It is borderline offensive that you call yourself a hero. Tone deaf as usual.

@@lydiamillen you are a hero. For yourself and you should celebrate it. We people don’t share the same problems and struggles, some are born privileged and some with some bad karma. But we each are our own heroes every time we grow, learn, overcome obstacles and manage to breathe in, breathe out and just live in the moment. But people are quick to judge because even though your style is girly you don’t give a girly, soft vibe of the damsel in distress that everybody is routing to be saved and protected. You give a very strong, boss vibe so small souls have the need to put you down. Just rock on 🤘 and stay strong. Disney princesses are overrated anyway 😁.

There's people in lockdown that really struggled, and she's harping on about she's a hero for getting through lockdown, whilst crying in her mansion and wiping her face with her £50.00 pound notes.

Virgin River is set in Washington State but filmed throughout Vancouver, Canada! A lot of shows are filmed in Vancouver.
The show and book series is set on NorCal, around the Mendocino and Humboldt areas. I used to work in that region and they consistently reference real cities/counties that exist in NorCal.
I'm only 7 minutes in but girl! Why didn't you put the little christmas tree in the yard?! Oh my gosh I would adoreee seeing how you decorate an outdoor tree ...in the yard or by seating area!

The way we move forward is to learn to love ourselves, to be at peace with ourselves and there is nothing wrong with rewarding very difficult times and be proud of our emotional development as sometimes life is hard for lots of different reasons and it’s okay whichever terminology we wish to use to celebrate. It would be lovely perhaps to inscribe inside the band of the ring something dear to you, just for you. I have a similar ring with Ceylon sapphire and baguette diamonds both sides and love it too 🌹

Lydia I live in America the state of Ohio. I am an older women of 67 but in my mind I am still young and pretty. I wish I was younger so I could wear some of those gorgeous dresses you wear. I love love love watching your vlogs. I look forward to them every time you put one out. I started watching you about 6 months ago and I think I have actually watched almost ALL of your vlogs over the past 5 years. I want to tell you that I think you are a kind and sensitive person. You are so beautiful inside as well as outside. You and Ali are such a sweet couple. Your vlogmas is sooooo beautiful and your intro is just so festive and warm. I am so glad you were able to work through all that mental anguish that you went through. People especially women are cruel and vindictive. The real heroes during the pandemic are all the key workers, who couldn't stay home, but put themselves at risk for the rest of the UK to be able to provide for all of us who stayed home.

Last year it was a Birkin for getting through 2020 and now it’s a ring for being a ‘hero’ 🙄 nothing wrong with treating yourself but it shouldn’t be justified in this way! In my opinion it’s an insult to the real hero’s of the last two years! I feel tonight’s video was a step too far and showed very little appreciation and awareness, it’s all me, me, me. It would be refreshing to see her giving back to others less fortunate, especially at Christmas and perhaps discovering the joy and happiness that can bring, rather than endless material things, which she never seems satisfied with anyway!
Don't forget that last year Lydia raised over £20k for the alzheimer's society and you don't know what Lydia does with the rest of her money. Please also remember that we all have our own personal battles (including Lydia) and if you look at the rest of the comments, her content provides an escape for some people. Lydia has come from a very humble life to what she has now and she has every right to show other people, that they can achieve exactly what she has. She's worked hard for this life, which is why so many of us admire her and aspire to achieve what she has. So please be kind, if this kind of content triggers some kind of envy or negativity then don't watch and unsubscribe, rather than attacking another woman for her incredible success 💛
