I don't understand how love can be with more than your significant other. If you want more than one, you truly don't love that person. Besides, it would be too expensive for an employer to cover ALL those people.

Why should a certain kind of love only be possible with one person? And are there even 'certain kinds of love'? And what is a significant other anyway? This video tries to make you think outside of what is socially or culturally deemed normal, and how arbitrary that concept of 'normal' actually is.

Men should be able to have as many wives, or women should have as many husbands as they want. Or even if 20 people male and/or female wanted to create a poly-amours committed arrangement based on their own rules. What's the problem? Who's getting hurt if that's what they want? What does politics have to do with love? Why do people ask for government permission to feel how they feel?
@Artfanatic01 The video and lyrics both dominated with natural imagery, specifically pertaining to the sky and plants. From the video, I thought it was about two girls falling in love with one guy, he marries them both but society frowns upon that, even though it is natural to have more than one mate (in nature's term; look at animals). I think the two women kill themselves in a way to make it look like the guy murdered them. That way, they won't be judged in the afterlife for being together.
My guess is the two sisters were very sheltered, and the the guy was a traveling gypsy. They met and fell in love. Because gypsies were executed at the time the video is set in, the guy was hanged. When the girls found out he was going to be hanged, they poisoned themselves, and died together right before him. It really doesn't have anything to do with "polygamy", they were just both in love with him, and he was in love with both of them.
the song is all about a Warlock (male Witch) and the Puritanical folk, a few family, of his two"victims". The bottle contains some magical , deadly waters, A willing sacrifice. Their senses through the elements of Nature suggests shamanistic Sight ... in the West. They sing their story from their dark, bloody afterlife. Boldly embraced.
love the details in the video, eg. the juxtaposition of their immaculately starched dresses with the emotions running wild in their hearts. and the disturbing certainty in which the deed was done. except the hanging could have been more elegantly done... :/ unless the crudeness of it all was intentional (?)
I am trying from 10 min to find my words and say something good about this...but i'm like "omg it's faboulos it's supercalifragilisticexpialidouchous" and so on.In words i love this.I love their style of telling one story on lyrics and make it a song, with a greau video.
just because you don't understand doesn't mean it should be illegal. I'm not personally in favor of what I described but why should it be illegal. And why should an employer have to "cover" anyone? I've been working for years without medical coverage.

The song is really good, but I need to be honest... I only see their videos because of Sierra. I've never seen a beauty like that. Really, I've no words to describe it. She looks like a superior being hahaha
I can compare this video to being fed two dozen raw oysters while hanging from one leg upside down. Violently spinning out of control for 4 minutes and 23 seconds and not throwing up. I guess that could be a good thing.
I've watched this video a thousand times and everytime I think "How come they don't try saving him or something?" But I guess it has some romatic feel to die at a place that holds many memories.

So beautiful song and music video, my favourite!! So dark, creepy and full of sorrow. I think its not easy to understand the song and everyone can understand it another way.
I love this but is anyone else annoyed by how frequent and "common" the animal sounds are? Like the cat and mouse/rat sounds are totally cheesy and not fitting in with the rest.

I wouldnt call that a "cute" voice at all. More haunting. Seems like they chose that style for this song because it gave an atmosphere they were looking for...
The music's okay, but the video is a very poor rip-off of "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce. You can find several versions of that story here on TH-cam.
