Multiplayer tip: there's currently a bug and if you hold your shield up when picking up a downed ally, it skips the animation entirety and instantly picks them up while also keeping you completely protected.
Little extra tip enchant you’re gear as much as possible. I ignored enchanting for far too long and after I got the light enchant I was punching myself in the face 😂
Is there a way to scrap gear that you no longer need (ex: Tier 1 weapons/armour)? Also, is there a way to open all chest at the same time vs. running up to each chest one at a time? One good tip that I've noticed, prepare breakfast immediately before you go to sleep in the early stages so when you wake up, it's ready. You can eat it and then go vs. having to wait for it to cook.
Is there any chance you can make a how to build up your base? I haven't found a video about it yet. There's a lot of building mechanics for upgrading your base and I'm just using one of those pre-built holes in the wall that you find while exploring. I'm at the point now where my base is filled to the brim and I am in the deep dark and I am running out of room for all the stuff that I'm now unlocking. One of the biggest issues that I'm running into is that trying to build another story or build out using the new hearth has proven difficult. Any tips that could help with this? Please and thank you
I just cook 2 mushroom meals before I sleep, eat them as I wake up and then I have enough to get through the entire day without eating lol, will make an oven for lembas but never made it yet and Im in bastion already because mushroom are busted haha
I would have expected an explanation of the noise mechanic. That's something that the game doesn't explain at all but seriously affects you if you don't understand it and keep wondering why you're getting horde attacks one after the other.
Has anyone else not been able to get enough statues to unlock all the armor pieces? I had a good 4 statues in the starter area, that didn't give me anything, but seem to be missing some in the 3rd area. Wondering now if my world is busted.
I’m missing 2 in the starter area and in the second I found more than I needed. Seems like the rng is truly random. Just like wolves knowing where I live and follow me around. I guess I owe them money or something
If you're playing solo you can cheese them but need at least one. Create world, repair mapstone in Ori's camp with 1 diamond, deconstruct for 3. Pick them up, leave world, delete it or just create another, rinse and repeat with the same character. That way you get 3 for 1.
Mining nodes are finite, like iron, coal, or stone. You can accidentally bottle neck if you do not prioritize building a repair station early. Once you have it though your iron gear can be repaired using metal scraps. And you can make more coal using wood at a high ratio. Metal scraps and scrap wood appear to respawn on the ground over time. So long as you can get the repair station (I had to find a second iron node to mine to build mine, because I used all my iron on other things.) then you can take your time.
Thanks for the vid :) Have seen if ore nodes respawn, not sure if the world i started in, but darn i could barely get enough nodes for the basic part of the tutorial :)
Heres a cool tip that pissed me off. Dont fast travel while carrying a backpack, if theres anything in it youll lose it all because the game will just make the whole pack disappear out of your hands magically upon loading into the area. Lost hundreds of gems from this, cant enchant weapons or tint/shade armour. Makes me not want to play now
Here to let you know it released on steam earlier this year and its been updated a bunch too. Getting a dlc this month as well as a big update for qol and such. So if you havent played it yet, now is the time!
2 months late so by now youve finished already probably, but I found that occasionally letting a horde attack is a great way to get tons of metal scrap since most of the enemies in hordes drop them. I had 400 saved up around the time I got to Durins tomb
Having some issues with controller.. Other than that having fun. But I’m lost?? There is so many ! Icons pop up and not sure where to go? Just got to the elven area but I’m lost as in can’t find my way back to base with all my saved ore and iron.. I guess just need help on advancement? And how to navigate the map
You can usually find your base on the map by looking for the fire emblem, which represents your hearth. You can also drop your own emblems onto maps, so you could mark your base on the map while your in it.
There's no point for the oven at all ! all you need is to run around for 3 minutes, and find random food on the ground and eat them, just collect mushrooms and eat them as they are !
How am i even supposed to find the blueprints ? i searched every single room for the past 10 hours in the game and i was only using the stone sword because none of the statues would give me blueprints for an upgraded sword, same goes for the leggings, i didn't get a single blueprint for leggings of any tiers or any of any axe tiers, this game should not have been made, worst of time playing this garbage
Calm down bud, its called progression. The first area has an axe blueprint, a chestplate, and gloves. Thats it. If you want boots or a sword youre going to want to progress to the mines area for the erebor armor set which has all 4 pieces available. The game is fully balanced around this so theres nothing garbage about it. I was player in normal coop difficulty in my solo campaign and made it to the first boss before ever dying, and by that point I didnt have the full erebor set yet. I realised I was playing on coop difficulty and changed it to solo difficulty and voila, beat the boss first try without upgrading my gear first. The game really isnt that difficult so instead of getting mad there isnt more armor than you need, just progress to an area where you can get the armor and where using it will actually be useful
@Sharingan1666 for swords youre right but there is also the eregion pike in elven quarter which is an upgrade as well. Longer range, faster and also more damage, but single target hits unless they stand very close
Multiplayer tip: there's currently a bug and if you hold your shield up when picking up a downed ally, it skips the animation entirety and instantly picks them up while also keeping you completely protected.
Feature* 😅
me and my buddy are currently surviving every horde by this method shhh😭

Good to see something positive about this game very excited about it!
I am 40+ hours in and no sign of slowing down :)
I just cook 2 mushroom meals before I sleep, eat them as I wake up and then I have enough to get through the entire day without eating lol, will make an oven for lembas but never made it yet and Im in bastion already because mushroom are busted haha
Playing as single player and the game is amazing. I could only imagine how much funner it is playing with people.
I have had 5-6 max. Really want to get 8 people playing
@@allthingsmiddleearth Yeahh!! I've played with a max of 3 people, and that was already awesome. The more the merrier!
Solo is so much fun makes me wish I had friends to try multiplayer

This was super helpful. Thanks for making this vid
Glad it was helpful!
If you attack while your shield is up, you will shield rush knocking most small enemies down
Yeah it’s amazing!
How do you repair gear, or is that not a thing?
You need a repair smithy :)
The repair smithy costs 5 iron ingots to make. You can repair everything with it
dang, some very helpful Tipps, thanks mate
Where do you get the black diamonds? I'm at the elf district and I haven't found one
You get them from chests, and goblins will drop them during hordes
If you're playing solo you can cheese them but need at least one. Create world, repair mapstone in Ori's camp with 1 diamond, deconstruct for 3. Pick them up, leave world, delete it or just create another, rinse and repeat with the same character. That way you get 3 for 1.
Oh also how to understand the States? On UI?
Tired? The dark ness ? De buff?
Can you take your time exploring and building or are resources (food and construction materials particularly) finite?
I was watching my buddy stream on discord while I was at work and it seems that it respawns the resources

Same.
Brilliant tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Okay ironically, stone is the thing im always running out of
That is ironic!
You're not Rock and Stone enough yet.
Can you go back to the beginning. I swear near the door there's infinite stone on both sides. At least for me there was 😂
Hopefully someone makes a mod. In the forgotten realms. The underdark is bad ass
That would be sick!

this is a bug. as far as i know its been fixed
Is there an actual plot to the game or is it just backgrounded by Middle Earth lore?
There is a story, and there are quest objectives that loosely guide you through the game. Lots of lore and artifacts to find along the way.
Thank you for video’s on this game! I love the game but there’s not a lot of guide gameplay yet.
I was hoping it would be cool ! Im probably gonna buy it
I am really liking it! Hope you do too!
They announce a Steam launch date?
Nope, not sure if it's going to happen or not
A year after the exclusive license with Epic ends, since it's an indie company they save a lot of costs on the engine license.
And Epic Pays ALOT of money for exclusivity
@@Gekkeloko So it sounds like I will get the bug free version when it becomes available.
Here to let you know it released on steam earlier this year and its been updated a bunch too. Getting a dlc this month as well as a big update for qol and such.
So if you havent played it yet, now is the time!
Want to see how much ive figured out in the last 7.5 hours
Metal scraps seem to be my sticking point. I'm about 4 hours in so im sure other bottlenecks will arise.
2 months late so by now youve finished already probably, but I found that occasionally letting a horde attack is a great way to get tons of metal scrap since most of the enemies in hordes drop them. I had 400 saved up around the time I got to Durins tomb
@ThomasWooods I eventually got them but I haven't played in a month so I don't remember what the cure was other than pushing forward.
First but with a cooler name
It's a fun game but the building platforms is so janky i cant play it anymore and it's extremely boring solo.
First
Having some issues with controller..
Other than that having fun. But I’m lost??
There is so many ! Icons pop up and not sure where to go? Just got to the elven area but I’m lost as in can’t find my way back to base with all my saved ore and iron..

Has a price dropped yet?
Game just launched today. Doubt they will drop the price or have a sale for a while.
There's no point for the oven at all ! all you need is to run around for 3 minutes, and find random food on the ground and eat them, just collect mushrooms and eat them as they are !
That only replenishes food, not health. Lembas regenerates health & food

The first sword upgrade usually isn't found until the Mines of Moria, which is just after the Elven Quarter. I could be wrong on that.
