The Grey Knights are a secret and mysterious Chapter of Space Marines specifically tasked with combating the dangerous daemonic entities of the Warp and all those who wield the corrupt power of the Chaos Gods. They were created by the Emperor with the aid of Malcador the Sigillite at the time of the Horus Heresy to serve as Humanity's greatest weapon against the threat posed by the existence of Chaos.
The existence of the Chapter is virtually unknown outside of the Inquisition and the highest echelons of the Imperial adepta, and is a well-guarded secret enforced by mind-wipes and even assassination of Imperial citizens if necessary. - บันเทิง

Why would I wish to induldge myself in a safer method of shaving my balls? Have the ruinous powers of chaos not taught you a thing?
For Nugle, the father of decay, the mere idea of trying to halt the decay of your ballsack is a fruitless and outright insulting idea. In so leaving your nether region alone, you'll come to invite the beauty of rot to fester and for new life such as flies and maggots to take root.
Khorne, as we all well know cares little from whence the blood flows, as long as it flows. Would the blood from a ballsack related cut not suffice as a gesture of obedience to the god violence?
For Slaanesh, it might at first seem that a clean and perfect method of grooming your walls would be a good idea. But fall not for these lowly and simplistic interpretations of she who thirsts. For is the pain of snipping or cutting your balls not something to be pursued in the in the eyes of the prince of pleasure?
While Tzeentch no doubt has an eye for a well shaven ballsack, the act of investing in a method which gives such similar and predictable results is to take away another avenue of trickery. In the effective method showcased, would that also not deprive the changer of ways the constant change in grooming quality between shavings?
While this is a perfectly good deal and something you should persue in the eyes of the corpse emperor. Forget not the teachings of the warp and the endless knowlage for which it hides.
I live in the Midwest, and Bricky is absolutely right. It gets hot here in the summer and my balls stink like nothing Nurgle has ever sniffed. Use Manscaped or your balls will look and smell like a Catachan Jungle Fighter’s sweaty and stinky armpits.
Thank you for another video!
You know that feeling when someone calls you by the real name and you suddenly realize how screwed you are? That's how demons experience when MC hammer appears out of nowhere.
That feeling when your mom says your first and middle name. You know you fucked up
My true name is a Yiddish one. Haven’t met an inquisitor with enough phlegm to threaten me.
How often do you get called by your fake name? lol
Grey Knights: (Unspeakable deamonic sounds)
Deamon: .......... Fucking shit
(Slaneesh with the leash, Khorne with the belt axe, Nurgle with the cauldrun slipper behind. Their kids): What did you do?! What did he do?!
Deamon: we were playing tag....
Gods: (See the arm and leg ripped off clean and the Grey Knight cover in wounds barely holding on)
Calling a demon by their true name is like their equivalent of getting doxxed on the internet. You're having fun screwing around, then someone comes along who can put a name face and location to your avatar, and suddenly things get very scary.
Surprised Bricky didn't mention Fel Zharost as one of the founding members, who was the former Chief Librarian of the Night Lords.
Sigma Chad
Even the HH books barely feature him in one very short story 🤷
The idea that a Night Lords Marine became a Grey Night who now hunts and haunts DEMONS is the most Night Lords thing I have ever heard.
Well, I know what I'm converting the librarian from the Leviathan box into.
That's actually awesome. A loyalist night lord has got to be a dope story
Malcador has done so much heinous shit the guy he confesses to kills himself, but Malc clones him because there’s still more to confess. This has repeated multiple times.
😭 broooo
said suicidal therapist is also a genetically engineered human-eldar hybrid
Where is this from?
When you resurrect your therapist because you weren't done talking yet, Malcador moment.
I'm so incredibly glad there's no one here defending him doing that lmao
Since the episode with Drago is next week this is the perfect opportunity for Bricky to hit DK with one of Drago's *unhinged* quotes and confuse the fuck out of him.
"Have you ever tried a TANGERINE?"
I don't even know if this is a joke anymore. What layer of irony are we on?

40:30 Here's the good news. Those given the Emperor's Mercy "by" a Grey Knight are the souls most likely to gain the attention of Big E "in" the warp. On a painfully related side note, I remain convinced this is how the Legion of the Damned do their recruiting.
Amazing head cannon!
I respect your take, but we don't even know for a fact the Emperor HAS a Domain in the Warp.
And unlike the other Chaos Gods, whose Domains are always teeming with life, whenever someone "meets" the Emperor in the Warp they describe an Abandoned Church in an Empty City, with the streets paved with fragments of Bone.
So...
@@ahoyturtle I enjoy when head canon is backed up by actual canon. Celistine and her choir were proven to be a warp based source of power during the fall of Cadia. Either it "is" Big E, or Tzeentch pulling a 4,000 year joke on the Imperium. Both point to a presence in the warp at least pretending to be him like Grayfax wants Celistine to be. And if "anything" can draw the Presence if not the attention of a warp based Big E, I'm pretty sure his own Geneseed would be a precedent.
...
Lastly who do you use to decapitate a "potentially" traitor Space Marine Chapter with the least amount of blood shed? You field the Custodes or the Grey Knights. If not both. Emperor's Mercy begins to sound like a somewhat happier version of the "God will know his own" RR Inquisition joke.
@@ahoyturtle Side note, Big E's ideal perfection was NEVER in the warp to begin with, unlike many of his sons. No wonder "any" vestige of it within, is both Spartan and Stark to a God who NEVER.... wanted to be here in the first place, his kingdom is in the Materium..... not some warp spawned verdant fantasy. That it resembles something he regrets, doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
@@danielbob2628 You say the Flesh is weak to a man who never once had a single implant in 90,000 years before hopping on a Necron lighthouse to become a lantern mantle....Personally I think this is why GW had issue with TTS, but only THROUGH tts does anyone have even the slightest clue what Gilliman's ULTRADEPRESSION is even about.
Grey Knights will always be an interesting bunch for me. First grandmaster being a loyalist thousand son powered up by the last loyal shard of Magnus, all psykers, Kaldor Draigo of Ordo Draigo being a meme, and them knowing the names of countless daemons to pull a "parents calling you by your full name" thing. They're just really cool once you learn a lot about them.
We slowly getting closer to talking about the legend, master hams, the king of beards and craziest madman in the entirety of 40k. KALDOR DRAIGO!!
They normally do faction leader then the faction itself so surprised they haven't already mentioned draigo
Draigo being so op makes more sense when you have the headcanon that the noble shard of Magnus that got put into the first supreme grand master gets tranferred into every new one, maybe via the titansword.
That.....could actually be really cool and engaging if they reveal it right in the modern setting.
..........& meme magic
My head cannon is that his beard is full of tiny men. We are not the same.
@@hardcorespawn9954 Please! Kill them all!
But have you ever eaten a tangerine?!
You forgot about Janus(The first Supreme Grandmaster) who was given the loyal shard of Magnus when he was created.
Revuel Arvida was infused with the loyal shard of magnus when he started to succumb to the Fleshchange. And this process created Janus. Here’s hoping this comes up in the next part on the grey knights
Cool thing about Janus, the 1st Supreme Grandmaster, is that his Gene-Seed was probably used to create the Blood Ravens, and that is the reason the Blood Ravens have a fairly good relations with the Grey Knights.
Next episode I would like to see DK react to this fact
@@ItamarO93 this sounds more like just a theory
I’m 90% sure the grey knights are just using a stabilized version of magnus’ geneseed that history has forgotten to time so they just call it the emperor’s due to the immense psychic power.
If I had a nickle for every time someone fought Mortarion during the Siege of Terra and let themselves get impailed to hit Mortarion in the throat, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but its wierd it happened twice

@@Lazrael32I mean, that's only fair. Mortarion's entire play in those books was to use hax and the ultimate cheat (the titular Godblight) to kill Roboute. All Bobby G did was to pull out the ultimate 'No U" play
@@draochvar9646 he lured guilliman into a trap. If his plague was a cheat code then so is guilliman's sword. If you expect a plague lord to not use.... plagues... then i'm not sure what else he is supposed to do.
To quote 1d4chan -
When the Grey Knights arrive on the scene, it is already too late for everybody else: the great enemy already has all the cards, the dark gods have now found purchase into the material realm, the battle is effectively lost, and no number of battle tanks or titan god-machines will reverse the inevitable... and that is where the Grey Knights are forced to begin their fight. So, regardless of what anybody else says, be proud of your silver dudes. For while they may be sometimes deployed as a preemptive force, Grey Knights are more often typically wrestling victory from the jaws of not only certain-defeat but a point where defeat has already happened. To win even when everything is already lost. They're the last prayer, they're final hail mary, the last roll of the dice. Don't be surprised if they lose, because everything is so stacked up against them. But when they actually win, that's something.
I think we feel the pain because Grey Knights are the butt of the joke for other players. If I never hear about the Months of Shame ever again, it will be too soon.
Give me a break, I mean, a Grandmaster of the Grey Knights having a hard-on for humiliating astartes chapters? Terminators sprinting?
The death of a Grandmaster is the death of trillions of humans at the hands of Chaos...
Isn't there story where a "silver knight" that's theorised to be a grey knight fights all the way through all of slaaneshs' layers of excess, all the way up to the doors of the prince of pleasures' castle or whatever only to experience a shred of hesitation on seeing slaanesh themselves face, and immediately falling from that?
It's not a confirmed Grey Knight but it is a prime suspect
Draigo! He has beard wizards!
I thought that was a Bretonnian knight from warhammer fantasy lore.
The reason i dont think its a Grey Knights is throughout the story, the silver knight recounts often his younger years, which Grey Knights lose all memory of who they were pre-initiates so that kinda conflicts, but they could retcon that.
@@jacobgale4792depends on what he means by “younger years,” because that could mean anything from “my childhood” to “an indeterminate time when I was younger than I am now”
Hope you talk about the "Months of Shame" in the next video. Grey Knights take on Angron on Armaegeddon and than get into a Cold War with the Space Wolves.
In the game chaos gate deamonhunter on steam
You're a Grey knight commander fighting a nurgle infection, an inquisitor of the ordo maleus comes to demand your assistance. But when you ask her how she knew you existed, she's says she didn't that the inquisition gave her coordinates. So, the fact that only a few inquisitors actually know of their existence is really cool I find.

Malcador trained Alpharius to be undetectable and unnoticeable... They are a chapter with no Primarchs, and yet they have their own gene seed... They are all psyckers... They are the most secretive organization in the Imperium (even more then the Assassins)... Hmmmmmmmmm...
Also, I'm Alpharius and this is a lie...
Worryingly plausible.
I had some Grey Knights after they got their first rules in Realm of Chaos.
You could take allied Imperial Guard and Space Marines but any allied survivors at the end didnt count towards victory as it was assumed they would all be killed or mind wiped by the Grey Knights afterwards and effectively lost.
Tonite on AdRic: DK summons a higher daemon of Slaanesh, Shy whips out a warp infused bong and Brick- THEY KNOW TOO MUCH. THEY SAW TOO MUCH. TERMINATE AND EXPUNGE.
Noice ^_^
Hoping Hyperion gets a mention in the character episode as he's cool, he's possibly the strongest living grey knight in current lore as he wasn't part of the chapter's death by angron mission this time and we know who he was before he become a grey knight.
The timing on this episode is great, I’ve been binging daemonhunters and really vibin with grey knights lately
It wasn't a couple of decades warp-time, DK. Big E had had a fully outfitted fortress built on Titan, complete with a vault of his own gene-seed. The eight space marines were left there with thousands of serfs & new recruits. Malcador moved Titan in to the warp, where it was protected by macro-gellar fields & special incantations and wards of Malcador's own devising. It re-appeared in real space a decade later, but for the chapter it had been centuries, during which they had been training.
I love that lore!
Tonite on Ridiculous Gear: DK begins to prepare the hams which is a reference DK won't get but that doesn't shock anyone, Bricky meets Grand Master Voldus to compare psyker magic using their massive foreheads in what has been now dubbed ''the battle of the bulge uwu'' and Shy steals a Nemesis Dreadknight which surprises absolutely no-one because they look ridiculous so she must suffer the consequences of looking like a fool
Man, first thing I do when an AR episode is up is to search for your comment, and they always crack me up. Thank you for always managing to make me chuckle
@@jackmesrel4933 Thanks mate, means alot
Just a little guy in a dread knight
Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt it theorized that the Silver Knight of Slaanesh is a Grey Knight who made it ALL THE WAY through Slaanesh's realm only to be corrupted by them in person?
Fun fact, Jaghatai used the same move of shoving himself down Mortarian's scythe to kill him (Jaghatai snapped his neck rather than stabbing him though)
Thank you for slightly having DK voice be muffled by the intro music. I will enjoy any amount of time he is not talking
The proto grey knights were called the knights errant, pretty strong on table top but only two models. The Horus heresy series sets up the grey knights creation throughout it, two characters come across titan hidden in a warpstorm created by malcador being turned into a fortress world, along with garo getting alot of play throughout as a knight errant
Poor DK, only one of us in walk both flesh and vtuber realm, still cannot find a maiden

400 episodes in and we FINALLY get around to Grey Knights 😅
Amen dude 😂been waiting
As a Grey Knight fanboy whose been watching since ep 1 this is entirely overdue
But it does sorta fit, the super secret order was hidden and forgotten by the 40k historians lol
@@kendaar9002 hahahaha yeah, that'll play. It's as good of an explanation as we're likely to get
In regards to how the grey knights had the material and stuff to become a fully fledged chapter, malcador prepared candidates, weapons, armors, ships, and servants for the chapter prior to tossing titan into the warp.
In the Garro audio books it refers to his armour as the "colour of ghosts" which on one hand I like, but on the other, the way they narrator pronounces that phrase is one hell of a meme in our gaming group.
I was really hoping one of the Bricky quotes was going to be "HAVE YOU EVER EATEN A TANGERINE?"
It always struck me as weird that Eldar players complain about having models that weren't updated since the 80's. I mean, the models being unchanging is just GW making the models lore accurate
You guys should do a video on the battle of Helsreach which in my opinion is one of the best last stands in Warhammer
I've heard the Grey Knights don't do the "kill all witnesses" thing, post-Cadia. Simply because, with the Cicatrix Maledictim cutting the entire galaxy in half and daemons pouring out like a tide, it's legitimately impossible to keep it a secret. Much less counterproductive to even try. The cat is out of the bag.
Although prior to that, the Grey Knights working to purge all witnesses neatly justifies battles on the tabletop between them and other Imperium forces. The two sides just got done purging daemons, the Grey Knights said "you know too much, you have to die now", and the other Imperium force says "lol, no" and leveled their weapons in kind. Roll initiative.
For all of Malcador's Titles and Names. I still find it amusing none of them used the letter I as a Capital First Letter.
(Remember the Inquisition didn't exist just yet.)
Its almost like Malc went, "Okay what letter have I not used yet?"

47:40 Admittedly at least ONE did. But that was an odyssey in itself
Bricky: Nobody knows the Grey Knights exists except a handful of Space Wolfs and the Ordo Malus.
Also Bricky: yeah one of the first books I read talked about a stand off between Azreal of the Dark Angels, also Azreal had his DeathWing Hokies there
LET'S GO GREY KNIGHTS BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been waiting so long for my favorite faction to get it's own episode, and it's finally here !!
48:34
A grey knight falling to Chaos Coruption would be a huge deal. For better or for worse.
"Oh, i didnt even know Malcador had a symbol."
😂 the dude is called "the Sigillite" for a reason, DK
In regard to logistics, Titan was already stocked up before being shunted into the warp. It was actually an accountant who figured out someone was diverting resources into Titan. It turned out to be Malcador and because he was ultra sus, sent agents to kill said accountant until Garro showed up and rescued accountant. It was detailed in a short story but can't remember the title.
iirc, there's another story in one of the anthologies (Silent War or Eye of Terra?) where some injured veterans are stuck in a stranded refugee ship full of injured soldiers and orphans. They run across a loyal Thousand Son and it's implied that the ships are intended for Titan. Loyal veteran soldiers for the inquisition and orphans for Grey Knights recruitment.
8:30 you cannot hide your shame, we all see that Ifunny Watermark
If I remember right is that the reason none of the full to chaos is that one of their training steps is basically hitting them one after another with every possible temptation they can concieve of that chaos has, and if they don't get past that then they don't get to be a grey knight in the first place.
Up to and including getting possessed intentionally, yes
In The Emperor’s Legion, it’s heavily implied that the events around the opening of the Great Rift have resulted in the Grey Knights being deployed in ways where maintaining their secrecy is no longer practical or necessary. Also that the existence of they Grey Knights was an open secret to higher ups in the imperium.
Also the Ciaphas Cain series plays much more loosely with how secret the existence of Chaos is and how much it will corrupt people.
I really hope you guys read the Siege of Terra books eventually. Absolutely incredible books
Oh my god. They did it. They finally did it. They finally cover the Grey Knights.
I've waited so long since this channel started
One grey knight did fell to chaos infact! He was task on killing slanessh but quickly fell once seeing the prince. Now they're referred as the Silver Knight of Slanessh
I don't dislike the theory, since Warhammer is a setting with many exceptions to absolutes, but the fans aren't convinced whether he was actually a Grey Knight, or just "a knight in silver armor".
It's been brought up that there's no mention of the Silver Knight being a Psyker, nor his armor harming Daemons (which Aegis Armor will), so I'd call it... Contested.
I've waited for this episode since covid began
I’d love to see Bricky teach DK about the Celestial Lions. Such a tragic story without all the torture-porn of the Lamenters.
Some DK highlights: Does not know Gestapo or Himmler, thinks that Titan is a planet, doesn't understand how "ONE PLANET" could sustain some space marines.
Time for a bonus speckle of lore? you bet it is!
The first Grandmaster of the Knights, Janus, was given a turbo boost of power as e was actually combined wit a small fragment of the broken soul of Magnus the red himself- te full story is more spoiler heavy so not ruining it wit more details here!
Which book is this from?
It's cool lore but that's pretty much his lore he's not got much lore outside of the HH books.
I always have the headcanon that the noble shard of Magnus gets transferred into every new supreme grandmaster, explaining why Draigo is so freaking op.
This is the one I was waiting for
UNEXPECTED GREY KNIGHTS EPISODE??? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Wasn't there a story with a grey knight going through the palace of Slanesh, braving all tentations only to submit to slanesh when facing him at the end of his quest ? Sounds like falling to chaos
Bricky's proclivity to swap out the names of the Lord of Change and the Keeper of Secrets both tickles my fancy and makes me irrationally mad. IT MAKES SENSE FOR THE TZEENTCH ONE TO BE CALLED KEEPER OF SECRETS TOO
I am surprised our resident Nightlord did not list the name of one of the founders who was a Nightlord, former chief librarian Fel Zharost
We will provide the hams quote by Kaldor Draigo.
Indeed, Leutin09 has on several occasions stated that Nathaniel Garro is his favorite character within the 40k lore.
All the Grey Knight founder names were changed to mythological Titan names (well not all titans necessarily). Yotun -> Jotunn (norse giant); Iapto -> Iapetus (greek titan); Epimetheus -> Epimetheus (another greek titan) and so on
Next episode. Talk about necron vehicles.
As far as I could tell with the gray knights all their armor and everything else was stalked inside the monastery already so they didn't need logistical crafting or anything it had been something that they were prepping for a while all I needed was people to fill out those nice suits
also i hope they actually do an episode on the months of shame because GOD DAMN was it cathartic seeing the inquisition get their comeuppance
Real quick on the Garro thing. The group wasn't the Agentia Primus. They were the Knights-Errant of which Garro WAS the Agentia Primus. Which I literally think is a fancy way of saying Prime Agent. Basically just meaning he was the number 1, Malcador's right hand man.

the custards also know about the grey knights; they call them in during the events of the Emperor's Legion book
Theres the “silver knight of slaanesh” that could be a case of the only grey knight falling to chaos.
I agree the grey knight minis are fine to great when it comes to level of detail, they are just SO SMALL. They are not Primaris (yet?).
