I only get half the materials and I understand you used a duplicate weapon glitch for that, but don't understand how to get the duplicate weapons to give more material. Any suggestions? For people trying this with the armour, read this. When you upgrade the duplicate armour piece you need to exit the menu after every upgrade and to avoid dupes DO NOT look at your other armour when it has the notification symbol above it. Back away every time until they are both fully upgraded and then do the downgrade glitch the same as the scythe. Make sure you equip the buggy duplicate version, so basically equip the one that you DO NOT take the tunes off when you do the rune glitch and then downgrade the other...
When I upgraded my duplicated amour it doesn’t actually upgrade but it takes my materials it’s stuck at level 2 that it comes at any tips to get it to work?

So equpid the dodgy duplicate, upgrade one level, back off the menu completely and then return and repeat if that makes sense, hopefully you can get it working!

@@marshallhealer3991 no problem at all!I'm glad it's working for you, we can get runes and resources soo fast 😂 I started doing the downgrade glitch but it felt slow, so I went back and bought all 5 pieces of armour and did it with all 5 at once! Just make sure you wait after every downgrade for the resources to pop, sometimes they didn't count for me just wait for the silver to be taken and all should be well, there's no rush with the saves or anything either I just took my time to double check and make sure all was good! Just did an hours worth of this glitch. Started with 20k iron and leather and no titanium, and after that hour I finished with over 75k leather over 130k iron and over 3k titanium lol. And I feel we have at least another day and a half before they nerf this glitch. Thanks bro appreciate it.
I just did this and upgraded each armour piece 1 by 1, I backed off the menu after every upgrade to avoid any dupes and now I'm sorted, thanks for the guide! I had to wait for the yule festival to be fixed but I can confirm this works with the armour from the festival shop!
Any tips for making it work? For some reason I’m not able to upgrade the armor. I have the chest piece and ever time I try to upgrade it, it takes away materials but doesn’t actually upgrade the piece. Any suggestions for fixing this?

Thanks its still working. Btw you can actually put 2 equip hel's scythe(w/runestones) and the 2 duplicate hel's scythe(uneqip/no runestones) should be downgrade. I supposed to downgrade 2 unequip hel's scythe but instead its letting me downgrade 3 hels scythe which is even better! Total of 8400 irons, 3840 leathers, 201 titanums, 9 nickels, 9 tungstens each attempt!

It isn’t letting me upgrade my scythe past the second upgrade? Update: Been messing around with it and it only lets me upgrade the scythe that can’t duplicate runes past the first upgrade, but it puts the scythe that can’t duplicate runes in my equipped hand in the blacksmith so I guess it’s nice because I can tell which scythe is which by which one is upgraded and which one isn’t. Edit 2: Nvm I just tried downgrading the one that can’t duplicate runes, saving and loading that save, and when I load back in both my scythes become downgraded, so I guess this only works with runes still :/ EDIT 3: Okay so it actually works BUT it automatically says that the one that can’t equip runes is the one you actually have equipped in the blacksmith, so the one you SHOULD be downgrading should be the one that CAN duplicate runes for this to work. I’m not sure if that’s what he said in the video but that’s what I found out!
You need to figure out what works. Look at which scythes are tied to one another. You cannot have 3 runes in downgraded scythes. You have to upgrade at least one.
Well, done, I messed up a few times... I got it down, but some how I have 5 for the scythe... And I don't know how to get rid of them lol, do you know what will happen once they fix this glitch? Cause I don't want to get in trouble for having 5 Tells scythe..

@@LinusWilson I equip the rune dup scythe but when I go to down grade it puts the non dup scythe as equipped ... notice it after the save. So does this still work and what am I doing wrong. Watched this video 20x too see if I missed something... but following to your T... got a bunch of runes though...and got it to work Wednesday a couple times but started bugging out Thursday morning also went to Dublin today and doing the same thing of downgrading the rune dup scythe even though it's equipped

Both equipped and unequipped need to be fully upgraded with leather, iron, and titanium. Only downgrade unequipped duplicate downgrade. Then save and reload.

It only shows runes, trade goods and trinkets. Do I have to do something to unlock the ability to sell them or is my game glitched?

It’s easier with fewer scythes. You might want to go to an earlier save. Touching another scythe right after upgrading the equipped makes more. Try to avoid more duplicates.

You should now have the gold rarity and a bronze rarity. At this point it allowed me to fully upgrade my gold HS; quick save and reloaded to find my second 'dupe' was now fully upgraded too (yay!). Then I followed Linus's guide and now have 100k ore etc. Hope you have time before upcoming patch!

Y’all gotta do this asap ! Managed to upgrade all my gear even dlc with this glitch only took about 2 hours and I got everything maxed after a year of Valhalla takes a min to understand but once u get it you’re set thank u @Linus
@@mercedcounty3148 buy it once and whenever you get 2 skill points ( LEVEL UP ) the shops reload including the festival one and you will see it again and just buy it again
Can anyone help? It won't let me upgrade (with resources) either of my Hel scythes? They are both gold quality, but when in inventory won't upgrade there......

Generally glitches work earlier. I believe this has always worked IF you have a duplicate armor piece or weapon. You need to download 1.4.0 to get the duplicate weapon I showed you because it can only be purchased at the limited time festival available with 1.4.0.
Upgrade at the blacksmith first. Practice duplicating runes. Note which one has to be in Eivor’s hand. Upgrade the one in her hand while rune duplicating and upgrade the one in the inventory we with leather and iron and titanium. Immediately downgrade the one in inventory only. Yeah, don’t upgrade and think all the iron and leather upgrades will stay while u do some quests. Practice without iron and leather and titanium. Get good at getting more tungsten and nickel and then try the iron, leather, and titanium duplicating.

Looks like it’s been nerfed. Just got the notification for this, switched on to do this and there is no rune in my 2nd scythe when there was yesterday. 😕
Just want to give a heads up... It might not show you that you get the materials when exiting the blacksmith, but i checked the numbers b4 and after i downgraded the weapon and the amount materials (that should have listed that i had received) was more. So even though you might not see it say you get the materials, you will actually get the materials.
You should be able to get them to mythical level with no problem. Be careful switching between them right after doing leather or iron upgrades lest you create new scythes and upgrading becomes harder.

I was not able to buy multiple Yule bows. I could only buy multiple armor pieces after leveling up and resetting all shops.

If you touch a dupe after right upgrading another u r likely to get more dupes, which is just annoying. Go to an earlier save.

You did not do the iron leather and titanium upgrades. You are not downgrading two scythes. I had 3.

Iron and leather is the bigger constraint.
How do u have 96k silver??? Is it from the rune dupe?

You have to the titanium, leather and iron upgrades before downgrading.

Try switching the one equipped. Practice duplicating runes first.

I've been happily duping runes to my hearts content this weekend (so many venom runes to sell now!).
I wonder if you have to have upgraded your first Hel scythe BEFORE purchasing the second one maybe? When I tried upgrading the dupe-scythe it just glitch my inventory so I had 3, then 4, then 5 scythes...and afraid I just got confused as to which one was my main!?! 😂🤣 Never mind! I'm not averse to some Hog slaughtering when I need leather!

It still works. See the pinned video about rune dupe. You have to downgrade in the downgrade menu of the blacksmith.

You buy from Norvid and upgrade and downgrade from Gunner. Cannot downgrade a scythe that has not been upgraded.

Log into the PS4 with your PSN. It’s better to play online if you can. You must have update 1.4.0.

Generally glitches work earlier. I believe this has always worked IF you have a duplicate armor piece or weapon. You need to download 1.4.0 to get the duplicate weapon I showed you because it can only be purchased at the limited time festival available with 1.4.0.

I’m downgrading two scythes. I had three.
Fully upgrade as in rarity or upgrading the scythes through Eivors inventory
I can't seem to upgrade both scythes, choosing to upgrade the scythe will only take materials, instead of actually upgrading it
Upgrade at the blacksmith first. Practice duplicating runes. Note which one has to be in Eivor’s hand. Upgrade the one in her hand while rune duplicating and upgrade the one in the inventory we with leather and iron and titanium. Immediately downgrade the one in inventory only. Yeah, don’t upgrade and think all the iron and leather upgrades will stay while u do some quests. Practice without iron and leather and titanium. Get good at getting more tungsten and nickel and then try the iron, leather, and titanium duplicating.

No it still works. The runes disappear out of the dupe weapons all the time. Don’t leave em in there and walk around.

Just want to give a heads up... It might not show you that you get the materials when exiting the blacksmith, but i checked the numbers b4 and after i downgraded the weapon and the amount materials (that should have listed that i had received) was more. So even though you might not see it say you get the materials, you will actually get the materials.

You should be able to get them to mythical level with no problem. Be careful switching between them right after doing leather or iron upgrades lest you create new scythes and upgrading becomes harder.

Glitch still works only now you get 3 Tung and 3 Nickel. No other materials. Doesnt matter to me though. Still a good grind for tung and nick.
