    Well done for earning this.
I commented today, on a video for the Olympics roster, that in other countries this age group were already turning professional and challenging the seniors for places in their club teams.

Agree completely. It’s the reason why our country has yet to win a U17 World Cup and hasn’t won a youth World Cup since Julie Ertz, Crystal Dunn and Sam Meiws were on the U20’s. We kept sending amateurs vs pros and expecting to win these tournaments. This upcoming U17 WC we are sending a team with five to six professionals on the roster. I’m curious to see how we perform.

@@petercorley6102 Football in US has been so wedded to the idea of college sports and women's sports. It was an advantage once, but it was no accident that the countries that have professional opportunities for this age group were the two in the U17 women's Euros final and also the senior World Cup final. Unfortunately for me, Spain beat England both times, but at least the English got there, proving they are moving forward. Sam Mewis, comparing it to a weather system, said England had a tropical storm forming. I hope Emma Hayes can help spread professional opportunities for US girls and boys, not just get the senior women back on track.

@@alansmithee8831 I agree again. After last nights horrible performance by our men’s team, if US Soccer continues with Greg, this group of players will have been a wasted generation.

@@petercorley6102 Not wasted if they can find a way to inspire kids and if that means saying honestly that skill needs to be identified earlier so that things can improve. Proving that trying to teach skill to college athletes is less effective than training skillful kids to be athletic and getting them into clubs is something worth learning for the future.
I just spotted a women's sports channel still pushing the message "college women's sports is the answer". I think someone wants to protect their investment?
UK reporters, both men and women, report on their sport. The idea of a multi sport TV show is about 40 years in the past. For example you might see a rugby show with a section on women's rugby or former women's football players on a men's football match report. You would not expect rugby and football together on one show.

soccer players are the happiest because they get to do what they love.
