Well I did step into AA 50 years ago in 1974 for the first time. Back at that time there really weren't any commercial indicators so me and my friends bought 5/8ths cork popper bodies intended for bass bugs and made our own by heating our Bodkins up and pushing them through the corks and securing them with a toothpick!! AA is the only store that had the corks. At that time, we were Cheeseman canyon regulars before it was really discovered. Ed Engle was working at the original Anglers Covey in C Springs and teaching John Gierach how to fly fish.LOL great times
I live in Rangely CO. on the Western Slope. Dang near Utah. Hour an forty-five minutes from Dutch John. But all you ever hear about near here is the Green. Glad to see someone address this area.
