I have not watched mahoutsukai in 8 or 7 years so it's pretty refreshing to watch this video. I did end up finishing it during that time and i am looking forward to mirai days!
"One of the producer" Keisuke Naito isn't just "one of the producer" for MTP. He is THE producer of MTP. If you get to read his article in All-Stars Memories, he made an acrostic that spelled (If I remember correctly), "Cure Up Ra Pa Pa, let us meet again one day". At this point in time, he was the producer for Hugtto, but his heart was still with Mahoutsukai. If there is one thing that has been consistent since Mahoutsuaki aired (and ended) is how passionate everyone working on it. Isao Murayama said in MTP's Light Novel afterward that the staffs keep asking what is next for Mahoutsukai, even though it has been a year since Mahoutsukai ended at the time. Back when Hugtto was airing, I remember the staffs had an annual meeting at the date MTP ending. Such was the passion that everyone has for the project. To be honest, the one hting I am still puzzled is how much they keep everything a secret. We still don't get second trailer, we still don't know what is it the enemy want, and while we get the title of the episodes, we still don't get synopsis of the episodes except for episode 1. A very different approach from typical precure show. Even Otona has multiple reveals of its key visual/poster (and we know Mai and Saki will appear many months before the show aired). What we know so far are tangential information at best (merch, interview about the staffs feeling, etc.). It puzzled me, but it also makes me really, really excited because they clearly believe the story is something we should enjoy with as minimal spoiler as possible. Just several hours now... WAKU WAKU MON DA!
We had mahou tsukai precure 2 and yes pretty cure 3 basically (Otona). I feel lucky this franchise is so successful even if not enough appreciated in Europe unfortunately.
Maaaaaan 🤗🤗🤗🤗 I'm so so hyped🙌🏾 Can't wait to see my girls once more🤩 I just hope they don't be little kids 😑 and I hope we get to see Mofo in cure form once more as well☺️ that'll be such a treat🫶🏾 plz let Cure Falice also get an upgrade as well💚
I suggest finishing the original season and *then* the sequel. It’s better to know the story and have context than going into it without knowing some details that may be prominent or relevant in the sequel.
They put a lot of effort in a season that nobody likes (except me of course) i bet other fans are asking why mahopuri instead of ... (Gopri, startwi or heartcatch) Not generalizing but I've encountered a tweet before asking why they chose the worst season instead of heartcatch and such.
Not sure if it's relevant, but a magical girl franchise based in China, Balala the Fairies often uses sequels approach for past/existing gens. Due to the franchise using sequels (excluding 2nd gen Over the Rainbow) and taking breaks, the lineup isn't large but memorable. So far the franchise has 4 generations on its current 17th year run; original, Over the Rainbow, Ocean Magic and Star. So far the original has 5 seasons (2 live action and 3 animated) and 3 movies (all live action), Over the Rainbow with 1 season, Ocean Magic has 2 seasons, Star has 3 seasons (last 2 are split 2 cour each). So far the original and Star continuity adds new teammates every season. Balala is more distinct in having magical boys as main team members, though Over the Rainbow skipped that concept. Star stands out of having a mid series magical boy, though his situation is antagonist turned team member seen in some Precure seasons. A recurring pattern within the franchise is the odd number gen leads are natural born/veteran fairies; Shirley and Azure, even number gen mid series members that were affected by the antagonists actions; Alyssa was cursed into an elf (mascot equivalent), Symin brainwashed. Each gen also changes the lead fairy theme colour, instead of the general pink as the default lead colour.
mahopuri is still really good imo, the english fandom just likes to shit on a bunch of seasons that aren’t part of “the holy grail of precure”. I just hope they don’t botch the ending like they did with otona precure (i’ll genuinely die if they give mirai a boyfriend or something….)
@@lovelywarriorsoffriendship8804 it depends. In Balala's 15th anniversary, a commissioned banner art included both magical girls and boys together. Even few fans from Japan noted the stark difference between Balala and Precure, in terms of inclusion. So far Balala has a recurring pattern for each gen. 1st and 3rd gen leads are natural born/veteran fairies, whom grant 2 human girls magic to transform into fairies. The leads in human age terms are late teens/young adults, even having jobs in the human world. Even number gen, the main team are human girls granted transformation into fairies by elves (mascot equivalent in Precure), mid season members are natural born fairies affected by the main antagonists actions. Even number gen mid seasons are natural born fairies, and guardians of their respective home realms. When it comes to living in the human world, the approach differs; Alyssa travels with the girls in elf form in first half, second half adapted fast in human form. Symin himself is totally clueless about social interactions and human concepts, and the main trio teaches him the concepts

I haven’t even finished the original maho girls season, I’m on episode 36 😭
Should I just watch the sequel when it’s out or finish Maho Girls first?

Finish it first then mirai days
Thanks, I thought that too

I am finishing witchy before Mirai Days

@@vanessachowjiaying4423 sounds like Balala is being what Precure should have been. Especially when it comes to the gender diversity
I just hope that this series does well. When I heard how disappointing Otona Precure was, I didn't trust Toei to make more sequels...
