When they are now into all sorts of vices including drugs, how will they pass.
As long as Nigeria continues to pretend this problem will remain. A certificate forger can not fight fake certificates. It's do what I do not what I say.😂
The government do not teach values but parents. It is parenting that instill their own values in their children. Please government isn't involved in value system Mr. Professor
That's why he mentioned the macro and micro. What do you say of instilling core values in your children but the society is showing otherwise, overtime your wards will bend towards what's happening in the society. The society has a whole is corrupt, porous with no tangible values.
How about when parents don't have the privilege of being educated, enlightened, or even empowered to add intellect value to a child?
Well, value system has little or nothing to do with education. The basis of value is to caution against any acts that could harm or hurt you or someone else in any form.
@Tirelesswarrior our great grandfathers didn't have british white/ Western education, but they had better family and societal values than now. Western education actually has values for their own societies, not ours.
@wellswaterllc-ji7nl You're comparing different zeitgeists with different peculiarities. Life was limited to basic agric and daily survival during the long ago era. Civilization as championed by the West ushered in the need to have structures, acquire huge wealth, display comparable consumption patterns, e.g, an apartment vs. a mansion, etc.😃 The chase to survive in modern day...rent, transport, foods etc is not easy. So my point is, too many parents are too poor to think rationally nowadays because of modern-day demands. Some mothers encourage daughters to engage in "hook-ups" for survival. Poverty sinks rational thinking. However, I still AGREE with you that we can't excuse away the bad roles parents are playing in instilling wrong values.
