It's a chilling & grey Monday where you're at- and you see Rob & Kobbie enjoying good weather, very cool/eclectic car show, and a convertible on the beach...Jealous? Hell yes!

Y'all remember the original Honda CvCC, later called a Civic? Looked like a roller skate. Coolest one I ever saw... had big fat tires in the back, with ladder bars, it had wheelie bars, the driver sat in the back seat... A Jimmy 6-71 sticking out of the hood... but it was all for show at that time it actually still had the original little four banger front wheel drive setup.
There was a guy with a white 70 or 71 Mustang in my hometown. big tires, ladder bars, and big pro stock style scoop on the hood... all for show, I caught him with the hood up one night, he had a stock six banger in it.

Rabbit, do you go to cruising the coast in mississippi? Its always in october i believe. This year, there was more than 7,000 classic cars registered and cruising. And theres a three day auto auction to check out there during cruising the coast

Sorry, I missed this year's Turkey Run, it would've been fun seeing you and Kobbie there. Did you make it out to A1A for the cruise night? I spent the weekend flying to NY to work on my first love 1970 Chevelle SS 396. I'm planning get her down to FL and get her ready for next year's show.

I bought an old Chevette with a standard trans for 150 dollars...running and driving. I taught my wife's kids how to drive stick in it. If they tore it up, so what. But you what, they didn't. They rode it through the fields and through the weeds but never tore it up. I did have to replace worn out distributor advance weights... none for a Chevette to be found anywhere, but guess what, the weights for a 350 chevy went right in and did what they needed to do. Other than that and a good battery, tires, ect, never did a thing to it. ran the hell out of it, and when I finally tired of playing with it, I sold it for 300. By then the used tires I put on it were shot, and the battery was old, but still going. Ran the dog crap out of it. Surprised the hell out of me that did so well for so long. The other Chevette I had was the newer model, automatic, didn't hold up for crap.

I'd like to build a van with a mega motor.. in the back.. hidden. under the hood would be a large lawnmower or snow blower engine to turn the alternator, air cond, all that.

Know where another 64 Corvair Monza Spyder Convertible 4 speed is. Rob: Ever check out the 68 SS Big Block (black/black) 4 speed Elcamino? Just found a 69 Biscayne L-71 427,4 speed post car. Ex-1970's Darlington Dragway "warrior" put up to sleep for 40 year's! Or a (non numbers) matching 68 SS 396, 4 speed Camaro White and Black, fat Craigars. Mid teens on the price!

1st Gen Corvair? YEP! about as cool as a 78 Chevette I guess.....I drove a Pacer in the mid 70's.....Because my 340 Duster kicked out rod bearings at the drags at 7200RPM's and my mom owned a Pacer....One of my street racing buddies thought I had sold my Duster for the Pacer.....Nothing "Cool" about a Pacer either! Don't care about Waynes World.....Now getting an "AMC Buyer Protection Plan" free loaner car while the Pacer was in the repair shop.....Which was quite often.....Taking those Hornets or Gremlin "Strippers" out and doing burnouts until the right rear tire was corded and swapping in the spare from the trunk....Having your "mom" bring them back to the dealer and them not thinking a thing about the abuse....That was FUN TIMES! Just ask my best buddy from that era......👍 OH! and the Pacer had "low liftover" with its rear hatch when you FRAGGED your 340 severly and needed to take the block to the machine shop....Picked it up and slammed it into the back of that Pacer more than once....Bare Block....wouldn't do that nowadays....

I don't dig lowriders to drive, only to look at. I don't fit. I wonder, has anybody ever done a reverse chop and reverse channel on anything from the 60's back? That's what I'd like to do if I had a fat wallet.
