Hey Guys, we have an Expense segment called ‘Vacation & Holidays’ in our Monthly budget in which we put monthly some amount to use during our Trips and International Travel, forgot to mention that in the video but total expenses in the end include that section too

I could not go to Canada in 2018 through my Indian company ( I am automotive engineer with 8 year experience) due to personal cause. I use to regret for that. But now seeing the situation India is far better at least in my domain/job role. Now after 5 year I own a flat in Pune and that will be mortgage free in next 5 year. even today My EMI is less then 25% of my net pay. Travels around India without thinking about budget. Health wise also India is much better if you have group insurance/personal insurance. You can easily get 5000000 of sum assured in 25000 per year. Due to competition and skill shortage there is always demand of skilled engineers and managers in market. if somebody gets 10% hike annually it considered as poor. if you switch the company getting 80% to 100% is normal these days. If you have to control your eating habits and weekend outings to manage finances is not let you live in peace . You have to come out of it.

Great vlog, you factored almost all of it, but when one has teenagers, the expenses are slightly different. There are classes to be factored, they eat better than 40 plus so the groceries bills are higher😅. And because they are young adults, their outings are way higher than ours. They don’t spend a lot on an outing, it’s typically a pizza slice or Tim’s, but they do it frequently. But I think, it balances out on a day care expense, we don’t have that but parents with young kids have that big expenses. Give or take it falls to the same.

Hello Umaji. Welcome to the beautiful Great White North otherwise known as Canada in the entire world and Kanedda in Brampton. You won't regret your decison.
      Just some pointers:
      (1) Agar aap ya aapke saath jo bhi Canada aa rahe hain, prescription glasses (jisko India mein hum Spectacles bolte hain) use karte hain, to apna eye-test karvaa kar 2~2 pairs chashme ke khareed kar apne saath avashya le aayein. Yahaan Canada mein bahot bahot bahot mehenge hain eye tests aur glasses+frames.
      (2) India mein apna aur aapke saath jo bhi Canada aa rahe hain, sabkaa dental check-up karvaa lein (especially dentures, crowns, root canal, tooth extraction, vagaire operations). It's an extortion here in Canada.
      (3) Jitna ho sakey, kitchen ke bhaari-bharkam bartan aur winter jackets, blankets kam hi laayein. Ottawa jaise chhote shehar mein bhi Indian stores + Dollarama bahot hain jahaan aapko har qism ke kitchen utensils (tavaa, chaklaa, belan se lekar kadhaaii, chhalni, spoons, forks, knives), pooja ka saamaan vagaire vaajib daamon mein mil jaayegaa. Ikea mein behtareen blankets milte hain. Even if it's -30 Degrees C outside, har ghar mein, apartment, condo mein central heating hota hai, isliye blankets India se laane ki zaroorat nahin hai. Also, in order to deal with bone-chilling, teeth-chattering winters, it's better you buy winter jackets here in Canada. India mein bahot kam winter jackets milte hain jo Canadian winters ke laayak ho (only because India is primarily a hot country). Main kitchen ke bhaari-bharkam bartan, winter jackets, blankets Indian se nahin laane ka suggestion isliye de rahaa hoon kyonki airlines ko over-weight extra baggage ka bahot paise deney padtey hai.
      (4) Cellphone charges and car insurance Canada mein bahot zyaada hain. It's going to be a rude shock to you when you see the exorbitant prices, so be mentally prepared.
      Good luck et bonne chance!

Cant agree more with the points discussed. Salary increments last year was no way on par with inflation.
Also, regarding the house mortgage, as a first time buyer, even we did the same mistake of only taking the mortgage amount into consideration and not the additional amount expenses that come with it🤦🏻‍♂️

Why do people cry about property tax ? It goes towards funding public schools, police, and fire departments. Public schools Education is free. It costs to heat/ cool clean and maintain the buildings. Books are free, all media facility, lab, music and sports equipment is free for students but money comes from property tax. And don't forget the school buses and the fuel ! As much as 35 % property tax goes towards public schools.
    Get educated, stop Whining !!!

haa ye baat to hai. India mein jitni facilities logon ko mili hain, utni kisi bhi desh mein kisiko bhi nahin mili hain. Sirf India mein hi mardon ko kahin bhi, kabhi bhi, deewaron par, ped par, park mein, garden mein, galiyon mein, yahaan tak ki udte plane mein doosre passengers par mootne ki facility mili hui hai. Achha hua hum auraton ko ye facility abhi tak nahin mili hai, varna socho har jagah kitni achhi moot ki khusboo aati. Doosri baat, sirf India mein hi merit based selection nahin hota. Aap ghareeb hain? Neeche ki jaat waale hain? Aapko aur aapke aane waale 10,000 generations ko job reservation milega. Ye to bahot acchi facility hai. India hi ek aisi country hai jahaan log is baat ko sabit karne mein lage hue hain ki wo picchade hue hain, anpadh hai, ganwaar hain, neeche ki jaat ke hain, ghareeb hain, budsoorat hain, kaale hain, aadivasi hain, bhangi hain, mochi hain, luhaar hain, chamaar hain, suppressed hain, backward hain, isliye unko job market mein preference diyaa jaaye, bhale hi unke baap-dada reservation ke bahaane kitni bhi oonchi post par hon. Kitni achhi facility hai yeh. Teesri baat, oopar se neeche tak, paise dekar kuchh bhi kaam karvaa lo. Is-se badi facility to kisi bhi developed desh mein nahin dekha. Paisa phenko, tamasha dekho. India mein har koi bikaaoo hai, supreme court ke judge se lekar, Police commissioner, bureaucrats, government doctors, engineers, government clerks, chapraasi, gaanv ka patwaari, health centre ka compounder, station master, sab bikaaoo hain, bas sahi keemat lagaane waala hona chaahiye. Oopar se neeche tak rishvat hi rishvat. Mera Bharat Mahaan.

India me 7 min me grocery delivery hai blinkit se. In sab mein canada is far behind 😂 Aur kamwali bhi hai canada mein kamwali khud bano. Don't see any point moving to canada if your salary is more than 1 lakh in India. Canada system is designed to take max money out of the pocket 😅
