I used to play this with my friends at LAN parties. I had the crappiest PC of the bunch and so it took me roughly the length of a round to load into the game. I'd sit there for 15 minutes just listening to this song and when I finally got into the game, the round was over and they changed the map. And loading started all over again. Amazing memories.

Still would not mind if a game had those graphics in 2020. I mean it clearly should have some great features to compensate for it, but the graphics would not bother me at all.
Glad to see a resurgence of indie games that ditch graphics for gameplay. Gaming was in a better place when AAA studios focused on making their games more fun instead of making them prettier.

I played single player a lot, you could explore so much like stealing enemy ships etc. Base camping and really get into places you couldn't explore in multi-player

indeed. plus the freedom left to the player in bf1942 is extreme: - put c4 in jeep, jump before impact and detonate - shoot down planes with your tanks (I was often doing it) - stay alive much more than other players and increase your kill ratio by playing medic (my fav class) -the community was awesome, far less insult and trashtalk than in cod4 - awesome flac canon to shoot down planes I've been playing games insce 1976, bf1942 is my best online gaming experience ever philipines map: snipers, tanks, planes, boats, infantery.. great memories
Playing this game all day on a long Sunday were some of the best days on my life. Love the video, wish they could recapture this. Cut the crap; skins, squads etc.. give me this and large fully controllable vehicles.
Bought Half Life 2 and L4D2 during the Chinese New Year Steam sale, I felt like something is lacking. Finally remembered this one when I watching some war documentaries. I remember needing to wait for my brothers to finish playing before I could play but then get told off cause I'm too young for violence and girls shouldn't be playing games. Now I got my own computer and I don't care if I'm too old to play games. Too many rules too little time 😅😂

I was ,but not as good ..I just like to used my bazooka and rode those little fast buggy car to captured the enemy flag and bring it to our camp..the enemy was chasing me but my buggy was flying on the hill in El alamein. Good ol days

Yea BFV was a real disappointment. 2002-2016 was golden. Now we have it again in 2042, thankfully.

Once you install the multiplayer patch to play online, it always patches the screen resolution for modern systems for high resolution
