I’ve been binging your entire channel for about 8 hours, while baking all day. I just wanted to take a second to thank you. Your content is insanely creative and you are extremely talented. Thank you so much for sharing
I watch many videos on cake decoration, and yours are the most practical, accessible and detailed. Fantastic. Your instruction has given me the courage to create a wedding cake for my daughter. Thank you!
I like how you always account for mistakes that could occur when you're decorating and explain how they can be easily corrected. Thank you for all your unique ideas.
Wow, some of these are really creative! I really love using gold leaf and gold luster dust on my cakes! Gives them a really elegant finish and shimmery look that i love 😍😍
Super amazing nice and yummy beautiful cake, ty so much ma'am you give great idea and great Tips you are great teaching and learning and give idea amazing 👌 👌 👌 👍 💟 🙏
If you have an airbrush you can spray the colour over whipped cream or buttercream after frosting your cake. You can try painting straight onto buttercream with it but it's probably diluted so that it works in an airbrush so it might not give you great coverage
@@BritishGirlBakes Thank you so much for your response :) I forgot to mention I don't have an airbrush...I tried to paint over buttercream but it didn't stick, just as you mentioned it's too watery :(. I was wondering hence if there's any other way to use that color... Btw, I love the way you explain and your videos are super helpful, thank you so much :)

Hello ma'am
If vodka is not available
So what's the substitute??
What do you use to mix Edible Gold to make it a paste to paint the cake
I use any clear alcohol (usually a high proof grain alcohol but sometimes vodka) or if I don't have either of those I'll use a clear vanilla extract.
I bought a gold airbrush color mistakenly, is there any way I can use it with whipped cream or buttercream frosting? Please help...

Hi thanks for these. Do you know if gold leaf sticks to stabilised whipped cream?
Yes it will :)
How to make gold dust paste without alcohol?
You can use a clear extract like vanilla or lemon extract instead of alcohol
Please about your cake board, I know is different from the ones I used to see. Where can I buy one?
It's a greaseproof cardboard cake board by Wilton. I'm not sure which country you're in but you can buy them at Wilton or on amazon in North America
British Girl Bakes thank you very much.
Maaagggniiifffiiikkkkk🤩💟😍
Thank you!
What is your preferred brand of luster dust? I have been on the hunt for some and have found many brands out there, but I’m not sure which one to buy.
Which country are you in?
These are awesome x would it be unsafe for kids to eat cake with using the vodka ?
I believe the alcohol evaporates very quickly and isn't harmful.
Same answer as Janette - it evaporates within a few minutes leaving the gold colour behind on the cake.
British Girl Bakes oh yes cool, thank you both! I figured as much but I wasn’t sure and kept being worried by the method 😅🙃
@@dulciemoon5496 😊😊😊
All this is workable bcos it is buttercream..working with whipped cream won’t give the same results right ? I’m really confused
Whipped cream will work with some of the techniques - which ones are you interested in?
What can i replace with Vodka?
Any clear alcohol or a clear flavour extract like clear vanilla or lemon

Gold is an inert chemical. It has no nutiritional value, it has no taste. It is pointless.
Lots of ingredients/materials are pointless from a nutritional point of view but they add decorative details to a cake.
gotta say, some of those cakes look pretty gross.
