  • What are stem cells? - An short educational film by the Irish Stem Cell Foundation
Stem cells are master cells of the body - want to learn more? Visit www.irishstemcellfoundation.org
ISCF is an independent not-for-profit organisation whose primary objective is to educate about stem cells, their basic biology and the research and therapies using them.
The Foundation will initially focus on education outreach programs, hoping to address the growing problem of bogus stem cell scams being offered to Irish patients over the internet. The Foundation will also assist the development of Irish policy and legislature in this area of medicine and science, ensuring Ireland is informed.
The Foundation consists of a broad range of people including Irish doctors, scientists, patient advocates, educators, bioethicists and other associated parties seeking to expand and develop the Irish public's understanding of stem cells.

In what occassions are the stem cells of a human embryo required?
Are they required when regenerating any human organ?
Or are they required for specific limbs and organs?

An analogy to this would be: What if we could make people [cells] forget who they truly are, induce them in a long term and irreversible amnesia and make of them the "regenerated beings" we [rulers] want them to be? That phase we will call: THE HEALING of a society in auto mode through a new set of information and consequently a society [group of cells] that will behave neatly accordingly to what it was planned since the beginning. Very appealing to those who have eyes and see beyond the basics.

I'm not exactly sure which is easier, but I would assume that getting them while they are still stem cells and not other parts of the body would be easier. So yeah, I think it would be easier to get stem cells from an embryo. Not sure if they still do the foetus technique though. Glad I could help. :)

Thank you for the simple explanation. I met a woman on a plane headed for Cabo to get treatment. Stem cell therapy prolonged her life when she was diagnosed stage 4 3 years ago. She's going back for more. When will this be legal in the US? Why are we delaying while other countries are aggressively pursuing this option?

I wish that stems cells would have been already harnessed earlyer so that my grandfather (rip) who was taken from my family not long ago (6 months) would not have died so early on. he had parkinsons desease and he battle through it from 23-76. he could of been here if the research was more developed which is why im devoting my time to help out with a local stem cell research center to help others who are in need.

Research using adult cells is 20-30 years ahead of embryonic stem cells and holds greater promise. Stem cells are part of the natural repair mechanisms of an adult body, while embryonic stem cells do not belong in an adult body (where they are likely to form tumors, and to be rejected as foreign tissue by the recipient). Rather, embryonic stem cells really belong only within in the specialized microenvironment of a rapidly growing embryo, which is a radically different setting from an adult body

Seems to highlight the codex nature of it all. Take note this ongoing dilemma as regards the stage where a clump of cells, or less, becomes an - ensouled? - individual. Many schools; from the first breath right back to conception. The latter might make one wonder about natal charts... But it's the seeming fact we can't reach a consensus. How's about a Spirit Medium ask a soul on the other side!?

It actually is possible to derive stem cells from an aborted foetus. Scientists can turn its germ cells into embryonic stem cells (I'm not sure how, but you can google it). The foetus would have to be in early development though.

To help your body rejuvenate and restore the depleted cells, you'll need more stemcell. Our body has a natural way of producing stemcell in our bone marrow but as we grow old, there is an inbalance inside our body wherein it is hard to replenish our dying cells with a new one. That's when enhancing the stemcell production in our body is needed. For longevity, balance and health there are products for which stemcell production in our body is being enhanced. Visit ladylynhealth.jeunesseglobal.com for more info
