Late comment for the 4 panel but I think you should paint something dingy like under a dock or one of eureka lovely alley ways maybe for a future canvas. I used to live in eureka for half a year. So many obvious pretty scenes and also Inobvious scenes ❤ keep up the great work

So far, my largest are 16x20, but I have an assortment of canvases laying around the house from when I had more money and things were on sale. They range in size on up to 4'x5'. I like using what I have, small, medium, large, but the larger the canvas the more challenging and fun pleinaire gets. @@ryanjensenart

Hello! I'm new to painting and fortunately stumbled and bumbled my way to your video, while searching for an artist who inspires me and paints the way I hope to be able to emulate one day. As a songwriter, words and melodies float around in the air, but I feel the need for something tangible that I can hold onto. Here's a challenge for you! Currently I'm in Nevada - hot, desert, rocks, lots of light and lots of pigeons! My idea comes from the parrots of San Francisco. How about painting the pigeons of Las Vegas?
Once I was painting a boat in the Marina and it started to sink right in font of me. its was the craziest thing. and thanks for sparking my interest in this Cherine

I really struggle with oils when doing Plein air. Thought I'd switch to acrylics, maybe do a final layer of oils in the studio. You make it look easy. All the practice you get shows, like your work ethic and enthusiasm. Plus, your work is beautiful, energetic, just right, not overdone.
Fun to watch. I love painting outside. I struggle with the under painting. Once its done i don't know how topaint over it with color. How do you keep the colors from mixing with the burnt sienna? Do you have to wait for the first layer to dry?

I just stumbled across your video and I want to know if your self taught like me. I am currently doing wall murals using some decoupage papers I find on line and I tweak them add to them and give them color and depth I hope to one day to make my own out of picture I take of my travels and my many photographs I have of landscapes and use them on walls for people in there homes I fine a picture in a frame boring

@@ryanjensenart it's a popular thing to do, I guess. It contrasts with sky colors well and it's exciting to see rich little bits of red pop out everywhere.
@@na_haynes yeah it’s a great way to start. Really wet paint too. And just start nailing the darks and using a paper towel to wipe off areas of light. Then just start back and it should start reading well, giving little hints as to what it need next.

Do you always have a layer of burnt umber and indian yellow in the background?
