I actually matched all the settings included color temp, but still both technologies produce different results. They can be matched by fine tuning, but this video will still give you a good idea on how they compare.
All the features on both TVs were activated and maxed out. That caused the Sony to loose its sense of colours and mess up a bit. TCL thrived on every mode.
TCL tv really gives you the best picture as compared to other well known brands. I got the 75 inches C855 and I could tell you that the picture on Dolby vision is really breathtaking…
My major issue or concern is the OTA Antenna reception and how the TV upscales. First, does the TV upscale broadcast signals? Yes or NO. I returned a Sony earlier this year after a week of watching OTA due to below average picture quality. Bought a Samsung with some AI and the broadcast viewing was better. Please add upscale capabilities to your reviews
Have you had a chance to review the larger TCL 855's? I've noticed that the 85" & 98" have feet rather than a central stand and the back looks different (no visible sub). In store, I actually thought the picture on the 65" looked better than the larger 855's even though the larger ones have higher peak brightness & more local dimming zones. The 65" & 75" look similar & the 85" & 98" look similar - I'm wondering if they are using different panels?
People automatically think that OLED is the way to go but lately I have realized how good the Mini LED technology is, especially from TCL. My next tv is going to be TCL and not because of budget issues.
I compared the TCL to Samsung, LG and Sony and the TCL was better experience every time. I tested all the screens for longer period, than what I could should you in the review video. I tried many different settings and modes and the TCL picture quality was just superior to the rest.
I actually expected the Sony to be better, and it just did not happen. I also showed all the settings side by side, color temp was set to medium on both TVs.
OLED Dont use bAck light so don’t require local dimming, each pixel is self-editing and can adjust its lighting individually so it supports Pixel Dimming.
Sony is too dark in the shadows & some detail is lost! The colours look great the one thats out on the tcl is the purple & the yellowon the sony is more of a lime green! Tcl is too warm, and Sony is too cold in the whites Sweet spot is the 75inch tcl 30% more real estate but 60% more dimming zones
TCL look more Red more brightness Sony Bravia is only problem is look too much blue is OLED problem not natural color I don't know what happened to the famous color of Sony and Sony Bravia 8 is not flagship this year and is expensive I'm disappointed from Sony
@@ChigzTech It would be fair to compare it with the Bravia 9 or Bravia 7 which are mini-LEDs because it is logical that the mini-LEDs are brighter. Remembering that Sony's image processing is unbeatable and the brands that come closest are Panasonic and LG

Yes that’s the theory, but with 2 TVs in front of me, and after testing various settings including default settings, the TCL just kept winning. Seeing is believing.
Tcl colors warmer, Sony colors colder. Need color calibration both

Love the brightness levels of the TCL
Yes it's the absolute difference maker.
@@CraigSteelyard yes but colors are aweful
@@Zuckler455 lol its just from the yt and his camera settings , both are high end tvs with v high top color palettes.
wont look like that in person !
@@sorinpopa1442 you see the diffrence.
Very good review.
The Sony was too blue and the TCL too red, but the colour error was more noticeable on the Sony.
All the features on both TVs were activated and maxed out. That caused the Sony to loose its sense of colours and mess up a bit. TCL thrived on every mode.
He has done a Great job here, there needs to be more Videos done like this , Brilliant 👏
Most appreciated, thank you.
love that usb on the side in tcl
Yes very handy location.
Brilliant review as always. Could you please do the full comparison between TCL and Hisense?
Does Sony add a white pixel ? The white has a blueish tint on it now
Talk about MOTION man MOTION . TVS are all about motion handling after that colors and contrast.
Picture should be set to Warm and Sharpness is best set to 0 for ideal settings from tv calibrators
Considering the price, I would definitely go for TCL.
Certainly alot of TV for the price
After testing the LG, Samsung and Sony, I can say with certainty, the TCL C855K is the best TV of 2024.
@CraigSteelyard Absolutely
@@ChigzTech из-за цены ?
Thanks chigz... taking all into consideration I would give it toothed tcl especially when it comes to the price..😁😁😁👍👍👍

You're very welcome.

Yes I actually have my own 65" C885K and it's the best TV I have ever used.
@@ChigzTech are there any considerable differences between the C855 and C855K?

Not had a chance to test the largest screens, I have seen them on display though. But overall I am happy with my 65"
Is the TCL C855K the same as TCL C89B that we can buy in France, if not, what are the differences ?
Do mini led TVs last longer
When i look at both of them i see more colours detailsl on tcl colours are not mixed up

Sony is better. Is also vissible that setting is on cold and not warm picture as is on TCL.

Yes, both Google TV v12 based on Android TV.
BRAVIA 8 👍👍
Sony white turns blue
The 2nd OLED TV I tested, which does the same thing.
